Politician
Well the Empire magazine covers are out, and I think there's 24. I have a problem with almost every one of them but these two are the absolute worst. They look like awkward photoshops of cosplay people. I think it's about time Fox stops any and all superhero movies.
Valo487
I still can't believe they didn't bring back Banshee, but they felt that Driftwood Charisma needed to reprise the role of Havok.
Nessex
Yeah - i felt similarly bummed about Banshee not coming back. He was one of the warmer, funner characters from the last film
MisterPL
As long as we're fantasizing, I'd like to have seen Taylor Kitsch back as Gambit. And you just know Ryan Reynolds as a proper Deadpool in a stinger after the credits would make the fanboys squee.
Zexion_Armando
I just feel bad about this film all around. Cutting out Rogue (probably in favor of more Wolverine Slow mo time) No Cyke or Jean, costume designs by 7 year olds. I honestly just wish Fox would stop, lol. Valo487
I was hoping they'd use this movie to kind of restart the timeline, and start a new one going forward, but considering some of the vile rumors I've been hearing about Apocalypse, I don't think there's any chance of that. I'm actually looking forward to this movie, but I think Fox has made a number of missteps and this could be a much better movie if they weren't determined to preserve the previous continuity. Earlyfrost
i don't think it's gonna reset the time line. i heard X-Men : Apocalypse would feature the First Class cast + Wolverine (if Hugh Jackman decided to play him again). Zach, since the movie's coming out soon, is DST at the designing stage of the minimates for this movie or are they already being made in a factory somewhere in China? Instead of 6 Wolverine movies that have just been a hot mess, we're going to dump everything into one pot, simmer for 3 days, and then shovel it down your throat." Valo487
I was just thinking. We've had a lot of the core group of X-Men, with just a few left to finish off some of the most iconic lineups. We've had X-Force, several different incarnations. Generation X, the Age of Apocalypse X-Men, Excaliber.... .....and our Brotherhood is Magneto, Mystique and Sabretooth. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch if you want to pad out the ranks. This will NOT do. I feel sorry for Magneto and Apocalypse, if they start a ruckus they get positively curb-stomped. TENIME_art
Apart from an Uncanny Jubilee and Astonishing Emma Frost, we really haven't gotten Generation X yet. That & 90's X-Factor are my biggest Minimate wants.
Valo487
You're right, I was referring to The New Mutants box set, they're Generation X in my mind for whatever reason.
TENIME_art
Ha, no worries. I started getting into X-Men comics hardcore during the Phalanx Covenant (though, my first X-comic ever was during X-Cutioner Song - and there's my love for 90's X-Factor & X-Force), and this team followed right after. MisterPL
Sad news for everyone who wants Taylor Kitsch to reprise his role as Gambit... and all of the rest of us too, I suppose What a terrible choice.Agreed. And for what it's worth, the choice is currently getting a 54% "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" rating on that site's poll.
Valo487
I have nothing against Channing Tatum, but he's a terrible choice for Gambit. And even though his acting has improved, I'm still not convinced he's got a great range, I think people just figured out the right way to use him.
