NerdyTrev Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I can't be the only one who wants a little Indy to carry around in their pocket! I would love to get at least just one box set per Indiana Jones movie, and maybe a Nazi army builder 2-pack. Quote
MisterPL Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 No. No Indiana Jones Minimates. Ever. There's no interest in it. SpongeBob? Yes. Kill Bill? Of course. A documentary about a globe-trotting archeologist? Good luck. Never gonna happen. Quote
NerdyTrev Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I'd expect there to be more demand in Indiana Jones that a corny sponge that lives in a fruit and is best friends with a brain-dead sea star and scientist hillbilly squirrel. Quote
MisterPL Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Well, there's more demand from you and me, that's for sure. I'd buy any and all Indiana Jones Minimates and have zero interest in that porous pineapple-dweller and his puckered companions. Quote
stack32 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I wonder if Indy is prohibitively expensive, or if the failure of Hasbro's 4" line scared companies off? It seems like it would be a no-brainer for some company to come along and make a whole range of products. The movies would certainly be perfect for the way DST usually approaches waves. Quote
NerdyTrev Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I'd expect the rights would be easy to get a hold of these days considering the lack of Indy everything in today's community Quote
Trekker 42 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I'd expect the rights would be easy to get a hold of these days considering the lack of Indy everything in today's community Unless that's deliberate by Disney, keeping focus on Star Wars until they decide what to do with Dr. Jones. Quote
MisterPL Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 That sounds familiar... Maybe if Marvel was at least doing a comic book or if Disney was producing a cartoon. Quote
Trekker 42 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 That sounds familiar... Maybe if Marvel was at least doing a comic book or if Disney was producing a cartoon. WHAT!? NO! ... well at least I got to see it once. My younger self was a fool with no interest in Indiana Jones, but since then I have become wiser. Requescat en Pace. Quote
MisterPL Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I saw it again last August. Participated in one once as well. My daughter thought I was Indy and when he got "crushed" by that rolling rock, she freaked out. Good times. Quote
Dreadnok Rocksteady Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I'd like Fast and Furious Seven minimates, not because I have any cravy love of the FF movies, but because I NEED Kurt Russell and Dwayne Johnson Minimates! Quote
NerdyTrev Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Maybe Indiana Jones is still a possibility with Chris Pratt's rumored to be wearing the hat next. Hopefully that will grant us a classic series and a modern film, kind of like the Ghostbusters movies and the RGB off-shoot line. Quote
thenerdieststore Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I would love to see them do a Square enix line up. Final fantasy, chrono trigger, Valkyrie profile, Kingdom hearts, etc. That would make a very pretty penny in the US and in Japan. They could even make them gashapans there. Quote
toy showdown Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 After seeing Funko's work on Evolve, they'd make for interesting Minimates. Waves of three 2-packs would be ideal. Two Hunter 2-packs and one Monster with Hunter variant. Or blind bags, which aren't expensive at all compared to TriForce's 35-pound, $750 statue of a Goliath. Quote
JeffBohn Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Battle Chasers (coming back as comic and viedo game)! http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/madureiras-battle-chasers-to-return-as-comic-and-game Quote
Gmonkey2k Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 i would like Star Wars....but everyone does/knew that Quote
Pedro Pablumo Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I've always wanted Watchmen merchandise, and the only thing really avalible is the Play Arts Kai Rorschach. I think the designs from Watchmen would translate very well into Minimates, and there's enough characters to have at least one wave, or maybe two box sets. Quote
MisterPL Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Watchmen could be divided into eras, too. Plenty of fun costume designs for a series of 2-packs. Quote
Valo487 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Watchmen are on my list as well, I'd prefer comic versions but if the movie was the only option that would be fine with me. Quote
MisterPL Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I see what Funko is offering and I imagine 4-pack after 4-pack of properties like Hannibal, Game of Thrones, Arrow, The Flash, Judge Dredd, Arkham Asylum, Big Trouble in Litttle China, Beetlejuice, and Breaking Bad, among many others. Quote
Valo487 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I see what Funko is offering and I imagine 4-pack after 4-pack of properties like Hannibal, Game of Thrones, Arrow, The Flash, Judge Dredd, Arkham Asylum, Big Trouble in Litttle China, Beetlejuice, and Breaking Bad, among many others. Yes! YES!! Oh God YES!!! I was going to make a top ten list of properties I want to see, but you covered most of them. Quote
TimeTraveler Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Here are ten properties I'd love to see... 1. The Goonies 2. The Twilight Zone 3. Planet of the apes 4. He-Man - Masters of the universe 5. Indiana Jones 6. Honey I shrunk the kids 7. Escape from New York 8. G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero 9. Saw 10.The A Team Quote
Mnemosis Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) GI Joe would BANKRUPT me. Financially AND morally, as I'd likely start doing.... things.... to be able to afford more Edited April 9, 2015 by Mnemosis Quote
TimeTraveler Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 lol..GI JOE would truly be a costly line for me to keep up with. I'd have to have 3 sets or so of each box set they came out with. Maybe even cases if they were beyond what I pictured. Quote
