Heinous Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Death dealer looks awesome but I fear his skirt thing would highly limit a minimate Quote
MisterPL Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 LEGO minifigures have used cloth goods for decades. Maybe it's time for DST to look into using fabric where it makes sense. Quote

bofox Posted April 23, 2021 Author Posted April 23, 2021 Finishing out falcon and winter soldier really makes me want a Disney+ blind bag series. DST could cover so many characters and looks for all the shows slotted. A man can dream... Quote
MisterPL Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Blind packaging is evil but, yes, there's plenty of good material left to mine. Quote
Trekker 42 Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 [watches Falcon finale] okay now I want the new designs from that please. Quote
nandoninny Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 man, just watched this video of everything marvel has coming out in the next 2 years and got a small tear in my eye -- that said, so much potential for kick ass mates: https://marvelousnews.com/266-28579 Quote
MisterPL Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 I saw that earlier and was reminded of all the MCU 'mates we didn't get. This would be a great time to play catch-up. Quote
MiniFiend UK Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 The cinema scene with the crowd roar gave me goosebumps even after all this time. Quote

Tell Them your going for a covid swab test. Work will happily give you the time off to see Black widow a few times. :o) Quote

MisterPL Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Godzilla vs. Kong was my first visit to the cinemas since February 2020. The auditorium was spotless, to the point I almost missed sticky floors. After watching the Marvel sizzle reel, I can't wait to go again. That's my church. Quote
mc2109 Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Did anyone see the SDCC 2021 exclusive minimates today??? A 6 pack of the main Avengers from the movie! And they are all updated from the previous release! Quote
bofox Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 Yeah was not really the revisiting of past films that I was hoping for- though it is a start and the first retroactive release. Not enough of an update for me to grab this one. Quote
elhonez Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 I think it's a cool release, and I'm happy to see more Mates make it out there. Quote
MisterPL Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 I'd be happier if it weren't a convention exclusive. If it brings in more collectors and jumpstarts interest into the Minimates brand, I'm all for it. I'm just thinking that making it a con/line™ exclusive is not the best way to reach the broadest possible audience. Then again, even if Walmart picked up something like this, what consumer would buy it? The packaging better be really sexy. Quote
DSTZach Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 I believe it was originally pitched for Walgreens, but I think everyone including kids will be happier being able to order it from wherever they want. It's not a con exclusive, because there's no con, and it's not an online exclusive, because brick-and-mortar stores can order them as well. Hopefully kids in those stores see it and say "Wow!" Or someone orders it online for a kid they know. It's certainly a nice introductory set. I think it would have done well at Walgreens OR Walmart. Quote
nandoninny Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 i think making it part of the sdcc releases also gives it more attention as a lot of folks know to look for the sdcc exclusives (even if this isn't really a con exclusive) Quote

elhonez Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 So this and NBX are getting these "hex packs"... @DSTZach how soon will packaged images be available? I like it. It's like a small wave in a box. Quote
DSTZach Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Not sure yet, I believe we have test packaging from the factory, but not final. Quote
MisterPL Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Any chance Loki will merit a hex pack? I see Hasbro is already offering one of the new characters. Quote
