monkeycrumb
well using this list i found online top 10 '80's cartoons 10 inspector gadget 9 dungeons and dragons 8 battle of the planets 7 he-man and the masters of the universe 6 teenage mutant ninja turtles 5 spider-man and his amazing friends 4 thunder cats 3 smurfs 2 G.I. Joe 1 transformers the only ones that it could be are: 1 not gonna happen, just like gi joe hasbro rules this property with an iron fist, plus they already have kree-os 3 maybe as it fits the "non-human" comment, but it wouldnt sell 4 yup, meets the criteria 6 maybe if the "non-human" just referred to the four turtles in a single boxset Well, Real Ghostbusters isn't on that list, so maybe neither is our new property! Besides, it hasn't been confirmed that it's based on a cartoon. I would love the 80's D&D cartoon mates, but why would anyone waste the money on that license unless they got the entire D&D library (which, would actually be really cool!) What if its......GREMLINS!!!???? Damn they need to reveal it soon before we all get our hopes up too high!
Shogi
Are we sure that the 80's non-human property was going to be an all new property? I can't find the list of clues. If it's not the all new property, then Alpha Flight fits as they're mutants, not humans.
bilbofett
What if its......GREMLINS!!!??? THIS X 100!!!!!!!!!! WE need to finish the trilogy- GREMLINS 3, GREMLINS 3, GREMLINS

DSTZach
Unless this is the 80's property... Classic 80's Byrne-era Alpha Flight! Shouldn't be. There will be 2 different AFX sets. IIRC the 80's property one will be the start of a new license. Personally, I'm rooting for Star Trek The Next Generation. Didn't Zach say it was from a license with all nonhuman characters? Whoa whoa whoa. I never said word one about the AFX sets, except that they were bananas, and that that wasn't a clue. Don't put words in my mouth, or Pat will have my bananas for breakfast
Kostisfire
No,luke told us about the 80s line in the chat room when poll 3 went live.Zach,is the 80s line true?
karamazov80
Gremlins could be nice I guess, but with such heavily sculpted figures I'm not sure we would be getting much different than what we already got with the Kubricks. More characters, I guess? We need some RAMBO or Robocop Minimates, since GI Joe seems to be off the table.
TM2 Dinobot
Rambo would be cool. Was that MGM?
Jatta Pake
Rampant rumor mongering...let's get crazy! Anyone have a log of the chat? To throw petrol on the fire, I think Luke said that it was an 80s property that he wasn't into as a kid. This is complete hearsay on my part as I didn't participate in the chat. But let's indulge my alcohol atrophied fantasy: 1. Luke likes horror so Gremlins is out. This would likely rule out any 80s era horror from Jason to Freddy. 2. Luke has made GI Joe customs so presumably he likes GI Joe and we can rule them out. 3. Strike out DC and Dr. Who for the same reasons above. 4. Strike out Star Wars for the same reasons. 5. Strike out Predator. 6. No Mario or Zelda. 7. What does that leave? My Current Top Ten in no particular order: -Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -Thundercats -Star Trek The Next Generation -Goonies -Breakfast Club -Ferris Bueller's Day Off -Top Gun -Princess Bride -Sixteen Candles -Teen Wolf
Kostisfire
Okay i don't have a link for that chat but i remember what Luke said:He didn't really like that franchice,it doesn't include any human characters and it's from the 80s.It also is not he-man or TMNT.The strongest possibillity is thundercats. The one i want is Transformers but........ karamazov80
Wait JP, are you saying Gremlins is or isn't horror? I'm gonna guess this: TRU Exclusive 2-pack for Cyndi Lauper and Captain Lou Albano.
Lobsterman
7. What does that leave? Like, a hojillion other things. You know what, eff it. SInce Nickelodeon is relaunching it, I'll go ahead and throw out . Yeah, that's gonna be the new license. Ocelot11
They just got the license for Buck Rogers, so maybe that, which i would be totally cool with. Edited June 20, 2012 by Ocelot11
Kostisfire
Oh yeah. I forgot about that. But in a recent QandA(I think it was a QandA) chuck said they weren't ready to show anything from the licence.
Jatta Pake
Wait JP, are you saying Gremlins is or isn't horror? I'm gonna guess this: TRU Exclusive 2-pack for Cyndi Lauper and Captain Lou Albano. I'd classify Gremlins as mild horror/comedy. It has a lot of thematic elements of a classic horror movie: monsters, crap jumping out at you, night setting, death, and gore. The comedy aspect lightens the overall tone and Gizmo is cute but it's a horror movie at the core. On my list, only Teen Wolf and Thundercats meet the "no humans" rumor. groundhog7s
I need to remember to say "mum's da word" more often. That confirms it. Luke is hinting at Mummra, so it must be Thundercats. Or some weird British show about mothers.
youbastards
I need to remember to say "mum's da word" more often. Or institute a "what happens in live Chat, stays in live Chat" gentleman's agreement.
