I’ve seen some pics of Adam Strange (most likely more modern versions and not classic) where he didn’t have the straps across his chest. Would animated Falcon (hail Ivan) be a cheap alternative? This way people could have a version of the character in their collection?

Well, I am going to mimic the figure, but I don't have the Angel figure you used. So I will likely make a decal for the chest block. Thank you for sharing your concept. I like it and never really though I would make an Adam Strange for my collection until I saw yours. Great job, creative licensing is permitted when the actual parts are not available.

I have owned a few in my day, including some Be@rbricks and a few Minority Report figures, including my one big pull, the chase "wife with bag of eyeballs" figure. The closest thing I have to a Kubrick now is a knockoff 5-inch Jack-o-Lantern-headed vinyl bear which says "Trick OF Treat" on its chest. It seems to be a knock-off of a highly sought-after OFFICIAL 400% Be@rbrick. I will probably never get rid of it, if only for the typo. Real: FAKE:

He looks great too. Though I assume it's mostly a re-release with the red lenses. I still dig a lot of Kubricks.

So, a couple months later, I'm back on the horse and made some great progress yesterday. I'm waiting on a fancy metallic paint that can appear to be two different colors for the last main guy, and doing some final accessory gathering and decorating. Looking forward to sharing these, because they'll be the last PMIF set for the foreseeable future.

The lack of unwindswept parts does blow (heh), but honestly, I can live with it. Especially Goblin considering it looks to be (mostly) symmetrical.

Yes you are correct on all parts! I used the Angel from the champions set for the arms and legs. They work great for Adam Strange because the red matches perfectly! I wish minimates had a more subtle jet pack. I need a more comic accurate look for the character as that angel chest block is way to expensive to risk messing up. I took some “artistic” licenses with this one haha

Good news, everyone -- we will not be changing the paint on these Minimates. They were fully researched early on, and colored the way they were colored for a reason, and they are well into production.
