Apologies for the delay in shipping (I want one as badly as you do), but here is a video unboxing the TF SDCC set. Ignore the misuse of accessories in the 360 portion of the video, I was not consulted.

funny how great packaging can make a cool toy even cooler.  looking forward to see what else you put in a VHS box for minimates.  hopefully a cool Joe set?

any idea when they're coming out?

[ahem] If I may suggest another VHS box set:

On not making this already:

You guys (DST) are a bunch of slack-jawed Frenchmen around here. A Predator VHS boxset would make you guys a bunch gosh-darned social Tyranosaurs ... just like Jesse!

(A&E version for the Multiverse. LOL)

<spits on Zach's boot>

Zach: That's a nasty habit you got there.

John Wick as a VHS would be good, clean anachronistic fun. Or you could get meta, and put it in a box made to look like a Roku or an AppleTV.

Considering when the first John Wick movie came out, I would personally find that marketing silly. Maybe something that would look like a DVD box set?

Enter the Dragon VHS 6 pack with Bruce Lee, Roper, Williams, O'Hara, Bolo, and Haan.

We actually did an action figure VHS John Wick figure for SDCC, and they nailed the old-school VHS look. (It sold out.)

Wow! I hadn't seen this. (and I apologize if this is a re-post, but I don't see my reply from earlier today)

This is a very cool and novel way to package toys... earlier I had posted that Neca is doing something similar with their Ultimate movie figures, but those are based on the movie posters, which is a subtle but important distinction.

You know, I'm not sure of the status of our Predator license, but that would certainly be cool. Ditto Alien, Bruce Lee, John Wick... well, now I'm sad.

Welcome to our world buddy! 😄

You know, the Rocketeer would also make for a cool video box....

Why do all of the VHS versions look consistently larger than the Series 1 versions?

I checked, and while both versions have hip risers, the VHS figures have slightly larger hip risers that add a tiny bit more height.

My set arrive from Luke’s. This has got to be one of my favorite minimate sets so far. I am not one for keeping packaging but I really love how the VHS turned out and I am definitely not throwing it out. I also prefer these to the original releases. I wish there was a way to get Bumblebee a little bit smaller but that is my only nitpick well that and the fact that these do not actually transform 🙃

i too love this packaging.  i'm really hoping they ditch the gi joe carded packaging for the vhs type packaging.  the first few releases of GI Joe, cool as are (just get them out already).  anything else, switch to this.  love it.
