MisterPL
I believe Henson still owns rights to Fraggle Rock. Disney only got Muppets and Bear in the Big Blue House, as I recall.
tones
would it be too much to hope that Sesame Street could fall under this umbrella too? that would be the icing on this cake of awesome. That's a different license. Disney has nothing to do with Sesame Street. my bad, didn't realize they were separate. guess I'm still livin' in the 70's when a Muppet was a Muppet, regardless of what show it was on. Is that why Palisades had to be so episode specific with Koozebane Kermit? I knew there was a reason he couldn't have a hat, maybe something about it resembling his appearance on Sesame Street. I guess it'd still be possible for Minimates though, Palisades had Muppets and they were about to do Sesame Street.
hellpop
They'd have to made a separate deal with Children's Television Workshop for Sesame Street. Wasn't one of the deals in the Disney sale is that Kermit could still appear on Sesame Street? I would love Sesame Street. I didn't get into the Palisades Muppets figures (regrettably), but I was really excited for Sesame Street. Ernie was my first ever favorite. @K80: It hasn't been confirmed by Zach that I know of, but was mentioned as being on display in one writeup of the DST booth. homestar17
image.jpgWhat answer?? Not everything at Toy Fair could be photographed. There have been numerous posts as to what the beginning line-up is to be. Please stop these sort of posts -- you're making yourself look ridiculous. The answer is a few posts back in the thread. And honestly, the only one wildly speculating anything is you. Zach has responded in kind several times to your posts. Mnemosis
Yeah, homestar... As far as I'VE seen, there is still only ONE source reporting that there are Muppet Minimates on the horizon. EVERYONE else talking about it is referencing them. That's how rumors get started. Until I hear confirmation from Zach, I'm with GMonkey on this - we still don't KNOW. DSTZach
Minimates and action figures. Twelve Minimates completed. TRU is on board, I believe. Should be happening.

minimadman
Found this at a blog called Muppet Stuff. Outstanding lineup for the first series!! Which brings us to our final stop: Diamond Select Toys. Before we got to the show we were informed by our friend at Tough Pigs, who were there the previous day, to make sure to stop in the Diamond Select. Once there inquire about their Muppet poster. So being able to follow simple instructions, we found ourselves at the Diamond booth, saw this poster asked about their Muppet items. One their product specialists led us to a corner of the booth covered with a black drape. No photos were allowed but, what I saw was immediately burned into my retinas! Muppet Minimates! If you're not familiar with Minimates they're small block-ish figures that mostly stem from the same mold, but can be added onto and sculpted differently as needed. The characters for the first series are as follows: Kermit with Robin, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Scooter, Gonzo with Camilla, Swedish Chef, Bunsen, and Beaker. Gonzo, Swedish Chef, Bunsen, and Beaker will also have explosive/messy variants that will be a combination of short-packed and retailer exclusives. Each Minimates two-pack will retail for $10. But that's not all! Diamond is also working on a straight up Muppet action figure line. The only two characters they had at the show were Kermit and Fozzie, and even in their early prototype phase looked great. Both looked similar to the Palisades versions. They couldn't reveal yet who else they have planned for the action figure line, but they did tell us that each package would contain two figures and a few accessories - including possibly a rubber chicken for Fozzie. Each action figure two-pack will cost $25. Diamond hopes to have both the Minimates and the action figures on store shelves by the end of the year, if not in early 2016. I cannot wait for these to come out. I still have several of the Palisades Muppets figures. Zach please pass on my thanks to everyone at DST, also any chance someone can build me one of these:http://lancecardinal.blogspot.com/2011/03/scratch-built-palisades-muppet-theatre.html Edited February 20, 2015 by minimadman
arnim zola
I pulled up to a red light this morning and read these lines ups and started screaming to myself, "Wasn't Camilla the chicken!?" Over and over.

Mnemosis
I hope we continue to get some oddballs packed in with more notable characters... like the penguins... And however long this runs, we need Statler and Waldorf before it's over.

hellpop
Pleasantly surprised that it's two packs and not blind bags, as it seems like a natural.
fwoosheyman
Woooooo! Very nice surprise and since I luv the Muppets I will be buying all of them and probably the figures too since I never got the Palisades figures.
karamazov80
Oat you beautiful bastard! This MAY be the first line I collect to completion. I can't think of a Muppet I wouldn't want to have =)Apart from the "messy/exploding variants," and of course, any terrible 1990s concoctions from Muppets Tonight or whatever *shiver* I'll also be a completist here. Which, I guess means I won't be a completist at all, actually. I'm also excited about the regular action figures. I have the bulk of the Palisades figures, certainly all the major ones that I wanted, but you can't have too many Muppets. And at the price point, I think I'll be alright giving my girls some to play with. As an aside, my youngest sleeps with Rowlf, Fozzie, and Animal dolls, and a Kermit and Animal pillow in her crib, has the Master Replica Gonzo and Animal, and has a handful of SSC busts and a Ms. Piggy in Space Tonner Doll on her dresser. That's not counting the plastic tub full of Muppet and Sesame Street dolls in our living room. She'll have a set of Minimates somewhere in her room. Pleasantly surprised that it's two packs and not blind bags, as it seems like a natural.Yes. . .but then, 2-packs always seem more natural than blind bags to me. But yes, anything from the original show is a must, and I WILL be trying to get the messy/exploded variants. At reasonable prices, that is.I was never big on the films, so I can't claim I'll be buying any of those variations, but I wouldn't begrudge the fans their existence Mahna mahna!NO DOUBT! Mind you, I have always instantly read that as "Mana mana" and it ALWAYS gives me a moment's pause Edited February 21, 2015 by Mnemosis
karamazov80
Mahna Mahna for sure. Bobby Benson's Baby Band. Marvin Suggs and the Muppephones. Sweetums deluxe set, following the Power Loader and Alien Queen precedent. Generic pigs and penguins. Gimme all of it. Great Muppet Caper variants would be welcomed down the road. Maybe even some of the Muppets Take Manhattan designs, like Piggy's weird hair. But I'm not interested in the post-Henson stuff. Muppets Tonight can burn in hell and take Pepe with it.Yes.
