THE_CRIPPLER
I just finished catching up on DC Comics most recent Masters of the Universe comics. I'm not too sure how I feel about how this is going. It seems they are changing a lot of things and I'm not too sure I like it. I hate it when writers come in and f with the history. I'm going to keep on reading it and see where they go with everything, since I do like the story storyline for the most part. It's just not the story that I grew up knowing and enjoying. I'm also reading the new Spiderman 2099, which I am enjoying thus far. I would love to see a new Spidey 2099 minimate, since I feel he is in dire need of an update. The only other comic I'm really keeping up with is the Cyberforce reboot, which is also a lot different than what I read when I was younger. I was extremely excited when I first heard they were bringing the series back, then shocked after I read the first issue. I wanted to read about the Cyberforce team from the 90's, not this reboot. I do like the story so far, but it is not what I was expecting.
karamazov80
I'm reading classic Fantastic Four. I just finished an issue where Thing single-handedly beats down Doom, and humbles him in the process. Doom walks away a dejected mess. About to get to the first Galactus storyline. MisterPL
I get some trade paperbacks if the series gets decent reviews. That leaves me a few months behind but my money's better spent. Most recently I've picked up Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Saga. My interest in The Walking Dead and The Goon has waned but I'll get back to both if only out of morbid curiosity. I have zero interest in DC lately (New 52 can suck it) and that's pretty sad considering I grew up on that stuff. Batman's my favorite fictional character but it's been a looong time since I found an entertaining Bat-title. Once in a while I'll try something my shop recommends. That's how I discovered some pretty enjoyable runs on Daredevil, Punisher, and Hellboy (et al). Honestly, the biggest reason I go to my comic shop anymore is to buy Minimates. Speaking of which, I gave Invincible a try simply because I liked the Minimates. That's another series I'd like to continue when time and money allows. undeadpool
Moon Knight ill probably be dropping now that Ellis and Shalvey are leaving, they did a great run and I think I can be satisfied with just that moving forward. as for Saga, my friend loaned me the entirety of the series so far and I just cant seem to get through it, It has nothing to do with the quality of the book I just cant get myself to read it for whatever reason. I still think East of West needs an HBO adaptation im very excited to jump onto All-New Thor, and Axis when those begin, and im SUPER excited for the new artist joining GOTG (Valero Schiti) as I am obsessed with his work on New Avengers and he actually was the artist behind the Battle Beasts mini-series (which is how I became a fan of him) Edited September 2, 2014 by undeadpool
MisterPL
Also, go buy Moon Knight! The book is damn great and it needs our support! I've followed previous incarnations of Moon Knight and am looking forward to the next once it's released as a TPB. Sex Criminals keeps getting good reviews, too. That's on my radar. Oh yeah, Sex Criminals is tons of fun! I'd add it if I had the cash but sadly, I don't. MK is one of the characters that I'll support no matter what (I'm actually trying to gather all his solo series) and the preview looked pretty good. EoW: Agreed. EoW is amazing (I'm totally getting the trades or whatever when they are released, but for now, digital is good). GOTG: I dropped GotG because of 3 reasons: 1)The fact that the plot is going nowhere. 2)Bendis dialogue. 3)Guardians 3000.

undeadpool
Im really not sure how you can dislike Matt Fraction's writing
Additup
I dropped 2 fraction books: Sex criminals and Hawkeye. Hawkeye while good, was just coming out too inconsistent and the split narrative made it feel like there was no forward momentum. There was a sequence in sex criminals three that really annoyed me in which Fraction was essentially winking at the reader but I felt cheated. Zexion_Armando
Fraction is super obsessed with being meta and thinks he is super funny which comes off as grating. I dropped him during Hawkeye cause the stupid Tracksuit Bros became super annoying, his plots never went anywhere after the Clown was introduced. I liked him during his Uncanny run (For the most part) and some of his other work, but it seems like the Eisner's went to his head.Gillen is the same way. His Young Avengers and Iron Man are just awful, full of dumb tumblrisms and made no sense.
undeadpool
dumb tumblrisms is pretty much saying "hey i dont understand youth culture, its probably stupid because I dont understand it, ya thats it!" Molybdenum Man
mostly DC Earth-2 World's Finest (Power Girl and Huntress) (my daughters read the first two as well) Multiversity (+ related one-shot titles coming) - I was glad to see Captain Carrot and the Obama-inspired Superman of Earth-23 return Infinite Crisis (I'll give it one more issue, #3) - not sure how ties into Multiversity Justice League (post-Forever Evil - I want to see where they go with Luthor associated with the JL); Forever Evil was great, pretty dark for DC Sinestro (my youngest daughter likes this one, so I get it) Superman / Wonder Woman (sporadically - I was not crazy about the Doomed story line, but it may be getting better) I tried issue 1 of "the First Hero" last week - looks interesting I have not seen any Marvels in a while that looked interesting enough to pick up. I'm always good for a WW2 Cap story or a one shot story with him.
Kostisfire
I really enjoyed Fraction's Iron Man run TBH. And I also liked his Uncanny run. Was it perfect? No. But it featured the X-Men united and acting as a family, and not Beast and Storm cursing Cyke every chance they get.Hawkeye, I tried it but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it was the art or the fact that it didn't read well digitally but I didn't "get" it. Sex Criminals was really fun so I'll probably pick up the trades down the line.As far as Tumblr goes, I don't like it. I tried it, but most of the time it's really weird. For example, I followed a Deadpool fan page and got SpideyPool porn on my dashboard (that was not a great moment to be eating). Most of the time it's full of "Black Widow should totally get a movie before Black Panther" or appreciation posts about the new hip and cool characters, while dissing the classics. Or people who know nothing besides the movies and act like nerds. Or "real" gamer girls vs fake girls and so on and so forth. It's just not my thing. Shanester
My list of comics is sad if you are considering monthly issues. I am really only reading TPBs at the moment. I just reread Infinity Gauntlet for the hundredth time and have gone back to revisit some Sgt. Rock and Conan. Not much new stuff on my horizons, but I try to keep up with what peaks my interest. Anyone ever read The Life Eaters by David Brin? Just reread it while on a trip to Atlanta. Interesting stuff. To me anyway...
MisterPL
Same here, Shane. The last monthlies I bought were Batgirl and Batwoman and that didn't last long at all. Before that it was Batman Adventures back in the 90s. I love discovering (or rediscovering) old trades.

funkguerilla
I am really only reading TPBs at the moment. I just reread Infinity Gauntlet for the hundredth time If you haven't read it (and I'm pretty sure you have) you should think about getting the Complete Jim Starlin Warlock TBP. As a huge fan of the Infinity Gauntlet, it blew me away to discover that it was the product of a decade of setup. I recently went back to read the Warlock stuff for the first time and was besieged by characters and events that were referenced either explicitly or via imagery in The Infinity Gauntlet. It's such great stuff and just makes Thanos' rise and defeat that much greater. But yeah, aside from the random old stuff I'm picking up (I'm 70 issues shy of a complete run of Daredevil vol1, 4 issues short of a complete Darkhawk, and have just started looking for old issues of Blaze [it's a sickness]), I find I'm buying quite a lot of new stuff every week. Let's see, there's: Daredevil Elektra Hawkeye Sinister Foes of Spider-Man Legendary Star-Lord All New Ghost Rider Moon Knight Avengers Undercover New Avengers She-Hulk And typically whatever the big Crossover is. Apparently I like the books that are ripe to get cancelled.
