Valo487 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Over at Marvelousnews.com, there's an article about some exclusive minimates coming out for the Hulk/Iron Man DVD, sadly no Zzzax 'mate though. marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=287&itemid=16715 Quote
Zexion_Armando Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 So I have to buy this Dvd and then pay 10 dollars to get these minimates? Quote
kaipo Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Seems like it... Sheesh.. Although for hulkbuster .... Does anyone know if the mail in will be offered for all DVD copies? Meaning I can go to any DVD retailer and pick up the movie then do the mail in for the minimates? Bc if I can pick this up at best buy or Barnes and noble then that's pretty sweet Quote
Zexion_Armando Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 It might through "specially marked packaging" Best Buy for sure would have it. I guess I'll give the movie to my little brother and keep the toys. Lol Quote
DSTZach Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I am waiting on more info, but I should have it next week. Quote
TM2 Dinobot Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Not good enough, Zach. We need it NOW! Wait, no. Next week is just fine. Quote
robby Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Someone over in the TRU17 topic posted a pic he found on IG containing the Hulk and Iron Man Quote
MisterMiracle Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I like this new Hulkbuster better than the shiny version I have. Quote
The Vox Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 The way i understood the announcement was that buying the dvd gives you a mail in for iron man (with changable parts) just pay S&H. Then the website will also be selling the Hulkbuster redo and Hulk with Iron Armor 2-pack for $9.99 at some point. I am pretty sure the are two seperate things promoting the animated movie. However it shakes out, i am extremely happy to get another Hulkbuster.. One of my top 5 favorite minimates of all time! I've said it before and i'll say it again, Zach gets it! Quote
VulcansFury Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 That Hulk with Iron Man chest piece looks kinda cool. I hope both sets are available without needing to purchase the movie. I mean, what happens if you want more than one of that individual Iron Man? Quote
kaipo Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I like this new Hulkbuster better than the shiny version I have. Best of Iron Man/Classic Heroic Age Iron Man and the Wave 49/TRU Mark 42 also have matte/shiny variants of the same armor. Wonder if DST is gonna repeat with more armors down the line? Quote
Nessex Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I probably don't need the matte treatment done with every single shiny armour that DST have released. But This particular armour is probably a safe one to do it with as the TRU release has become quite sought after. I doubt they'd have as many people interested in the mail-away 2-pack if it was matte finish Heroes Reborn IM. Quote
kaipo Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 true... and i guess its different enough to not be too upsetting for people who shelled out big bucks for the original. i love the shiny armors and hulkbuster was one of the first if i recall correctly. It'll be cool to have two different versions, and the armored hulk is another great hulk variant (which we've got a lot of lately). Still waiting on the classic grey bulked up hulk though... although might be able to modify rhino + joe fixit to make one. Quote
TM2 Dinobot Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 ARUGH! They're reissuing variants again! Of all the numb-skulled, addle brained-- Oh, wait. That was a TRU wave, wasn't it? Carry on. Quote
TENIME_art Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Thankfully, I lucked out on the first Hulkbuster, but I've been wanting to get an extra to paint blue & silver, since we never got a movie Igor Armor... Quote
Mattallica Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 i just saw a television commercial for this, and it included a shot and statement of the "Free iron man minimate" First ever minimate on television- sweet Quote

buttheadsmate Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Where have I seen those strides before ? Quote
MiniMage Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I think Peter David is aware of Minimates, or he was when I interviewed him about Series 43.And yeah, covers are meant to drive sales, and there are more Lego collectors than Minimates collectors. The Lego name alone sells it. But we've got a pretty cool promotion coming up. You said this in an earlier thread Zach. This is what you were talking about yes? Quote
pappymojo Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 this is my first time posting hello everyone but Zach is this what you're talking about hulk and ironman being packed together??... With a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories for maximum fun. So a great line. Quote
