  1. I’m not surprised. The Eternals has all the vibe of the second coming of The Inhumans, which was an unwatchable train wreck thanks to Marvel turning the project over to Ike Perlmutter. That said, I’d have bought the Minimates.
  2. C'mon guys I can't be the only one wanting these.
  3. Is this packaging being looked at as a possible replacement to the specialty 2-pack cases since is it still 6 Minimates per wave? This would allow retailers to order full sets in numbers they need without worrying about being stuck with leftover single packs they might not be able to move. If 2-pack cases are still going to be produced, is there any chance more of these 6-pack box sets could be produced to supplement in between wave solicitations? I would love to see DST alternate Marvel waves with Marvel deluxe box sets, this would be a great way to get some of the teams we’ve been clamoring for over the years, Warriors Three, New Warriors, Wrecking Crew, Inhumans, etc.
  4. I had this idea while dreaming about more Fantastic Four characters (Inhumans, mainly). What if, instead of BAF parts, each figure came with pieces that could be combined with other parts from within that wave to make new characters or different looks? That way multiple purchases would be more expected and more characters could be made up. Example (through the lens of an FF series): Mr. Fantastic (with an extra head for Johnny Storm) / The Wizard Doctor Doom / Invisible Girl (with an alternate chest block for Crystal's FF uniform) Classic Medusa (Different hair pieces for effect) / Classic Crystal By purchasing two of the entire assortment, you would get some most of the Fantastic Four team as well as two versions of Crystal. One to display Crystal in her royal Inhuman garb as well as her FF outfit. Another thought is, can past minimates be reissued? I know in the past figures have shown up in different series between specialty stores and TRU (), but what if figures made exactly the same as when they were originally released were put out again for consumers who may've missed out the first time? I'm thinking high end characters like the 90s X-Men, maybe Black Bolt and Lockjaw (sticking to the Inhumans theme). Just a couple quarantine thoughts for us to ruminate on together.
  5. Love the Inhumans and The Defenders of The Earth ones. Good stuff
  6. Hey, guys. Here are some of the decals I'm working on. Inhumans: Gorgon, Karnak and Triton DC Comics: Green Lantern Kyle Rayner and Martian Manhunter Defenders of the Earth: The Phantom, Flash Gordon, Mandrake, Lothar and Ming the Merciless Tokusatsu: Jaspion (Juspion for you) - WIP I need to print and test yet and this will take a while, I need to make a few more before.
  7. I will! I'm making a lot of stickers these days, I hope to finish soon to print. So far I finished Kyle Rayner (my favorite GL as well) and classic Martian Manhunter from DC; the Marvel's Inhumans Karnak, Gorgon and Triton; and The Phantom, Flash Gordon and Mandrake from Defenders of the Earth. Lothar and Ming will be the next ones.
  8. It would be great to get some classic comic folks. Fantastic Four, Inhumans, Kirby.
  9. 4 members on the forum repeatedly saying they want more Inhumans mates? No ill intent here, I just don't see Inhumans as a high likelihood for a wave theme; they just don't have the brand identity to anchor a wave like the Avengers, Spider-Man or even the Guardians. And considering the struggles 'mates have had at retail as of late, and perhaps that struggle appearing in the form of having less packs in a wave, I see DST playing it safe with themes & characters focused around the above properties, along with the X-Men (even if I'd rather them explore more unmade characters and teams) Plus DST has already made 3 of the most important players in the royal family. I think best case for seeing more Inhumans at this point would be getting Crystal and maybe a comics Medusa as part of an Avengers wave.
  10. Sure, chief. http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.php?/search/&q=inhumans
  11. I want to say Inhumans, but the numbers don't add up. We would need 4 new characters to complete the Royal Family: Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, and Crystal Black Bolt is definitely eligible - Redo #1 Lockjaw was released in 2010 - Redo #2 Medusa was made recently as an Animated figure only - Redo #3 This lineup is 90% there, maybe Zach is mistaken in thinking one of the unmade characters was previously released?
  12. I don’t think it’s too outlandish. But then, I don’t think classic Inhumans are either. ??‍♂️
  13. Gimme gimme. Hot damn gimme. BUT a few changes to the FF line-up which will become clear will the other 2 boxed sets after it. She-Thing was omitted because this set feels much more 1960’s into the 1970’s and she didn’t even show up as Ms. Marvel until ‘85. Fantastic Four Friends & Foes "Lab Ready" Mister Fantastic (blue/black uniform) Solid Invisible Woman w/phasing parts (blue/black uniform) Red-uniform1970’s Johnny Storm Medusa (FF uniform) Crystal (FF uniform) Thundra Wizard Trapster Dragon Man Diablo The Inhumans Black Bolt Medusa (Classic Kirby costume) Crystal (yellow) Lockjaw Triton Gorgon Karnak Maximus Alpha Primitive Alpha Primitive* *But have an exclusive two-pack someplace of just Alpha Primitives. Bronze Age Marvel Classic Luke Cage, Power Man Classic Iron Fist (two chest blocks for with and without dragon tattoo) Son of Satan Brother Voodoo Count Dracula Killraven Deathlok Adam Warlock (parts for both Marvel Premiere #1 and Stranges Tales #180 looks) Updated classic Spider Woman First appearance She-Hulk

    wave 79

I think pushing TWO Inhumans into the wave is a bit overkill - especially since the Inhumans strand was mostly a diversion. Triton at least was VERY prominent when he showed up and had that really iconic Neal Adams splash-page (he was also the cliffhanger in the issue before!). Mar-Vell I think should have white hair but also have the blonde hair as a pack-in. I would say there needs to be some Skrull representation... maybe "Skrull Empress" which would be modelled on the princess or whatever. Or just have an army building two-pack of new Kree and Skrull soldiers - that would be great (both their mates are quite anachronistic) but I can't imagine they'd be good for shelves. Maybe do what the Marvel Legends did and include alternate parts so you can say it's Original Captain Marvel vs. Super-Skrull as well as an army builder.

    wave 79

Maybe a Kree/Skrull War wave is more likely? Hawkeye as Goliath, re-dos of classic Vision and Mar-Vell and maybe Scarlet Witch, Wasp, Yellowjacket, maybe a new Classic Thor even... an army builder of Kree or Skrull... can even slip Triton in there to help get another bit of the Inhumans royal family built. BAF of... Rick Jones (which would be a waste to me since you can really easily make a perfect Rick Jones with a Predators Minimate)? maybe air force Carol Danvers? Or even the Supreme Intelligence (I'd have no idea how they'd do that, be interesting that's for sure)
  16. A spiky version of the Thing would be nice. Or even re-releasing the last TRU one but with the blue/white tank top “4” look and a few other parts to have different looks. I absolutely will never be satisfied until we get the classic Inhumans. But then again, I also won’t be satisfied until I’ve got a Dragon Alan, Diablo, Max Thinker, Awesome Android, Frightful Four, Red Ghost, etc etc etc. I could make a whole line JUST out of the first, say 50 issues, of FF and be happy for the rest of my life.

    wave 79

The Inhumans set would be great.
  18. I want more classic comic characters. People we haven’t gotten or updates of olllld figures. My dream wave is done-in-one and only has 2 re-treads for completeness sake. If THIS line-up don’t grab ya, then ya got no soul! Presenting the classic “Kirby” Inhumans! - Updated Black Bolt (regular head, screaming head and scream effect) & Medusa (includes new hairpiece, reused animated hairpiece and that “Medusa” hairpiece from the Calico jack - Karnak and Gorgon (no accessories needed) - Triton and Crystal (includes a couple elemental energy attachments) -Maximus the Mad (first appearance costume from FF #47 with removable crown) and an Alpha Primitive army builder who has a head or two for swapping. - And a slightly altered color Lockjaw for the BAF and to move all the sets. Luke could even do an exclusive two-pack! - Medusa in her FF costume and Crystal in her FF costume! Who says this isn’t the Marvel Age of wishlists?!
  19. If we get a Fantastic Four wave, I wouldn't be happy getting the same figures again. maybe an updated Sub-Mariner would be cool, but the Invaders one is pitch perfect. We need more contemporary FF characters like Dragon Man, Impossible Man, Thundra, and even some more Inhumans like Crystal and Triton and maybe even a more comic-accurate Medusa.
  20. Modern Beast BAF would be incredible. He’d even fit the wave since he was an X-Man and hanging out with the Inhumans.
  21. I wonder what’s up with the licensing for AOS and the rest of the network shows (Ageng Carter, Inhumans). Besides Pops for AOS, no toy company has really touched any of these at all. Unfortunate too, cause I’d love most of em as Legends.
  22. I don't know how many of you have seen these about but I just found out that Heroclix are doing hero bases, What they have basically done have made the figures removable from the game bases and able to plug into specially created team bases. The bases themselves are generally team specific with heroclixs, and have a specific figure fitting in a specific hole, However if minimates were to adopt something like this I would imagine it would be best with six or so foot pegs that any figure can use. I wouldn't mind team specific ones (Inhumans on the moons surface) however I'm sure generic street scenes rooftops and forests would work as well. Of course an advantage of specific figure slots that can be explored is various power effects can be built into the base (Lightning bolts, fire, invisible shields etc). The Heroclix ones come packaged with 3 figures the rest of the team available in the regular series. This could be an excellent way to get minimates of teams again like the Inhumans where retails might not be thrilled with a character like Crystal in a regular wave. I have not seen these at retail and have no idea what they cost and if this would be a factor against minimates doing something similar, however personally I think it would be a great way to get so good looking tiered displays of minimates. So what do you all think?
  23. Ok at this point whom I see as long shots are The Inhumans. Without a TVshow or a comic book line this is just pretty done at this point. I am gutted because I love them and would love to see the full family represented in a toyline. At the bare minimum Crystal since we have all her husbands and her dog made but bygones. I hate to call it but giving how Alpha Flight did. I would not expect to see Gen X ever. Nor Great Lakes Avengers I am getting concerned that too much time has passed for us to get a completed X-Force in these costumes: Or "New Mutants in these costumes: Lastly I am not seeing a path toward big X-Men events or teams of the past like this: Also... RIP DC Mininmates I stan for you always.
  24. Fantastic Four BAF Wave - Mister Fantastic (Greatest Hits style with alt Johnny Storm head for body swap) with new stretchy parts tooling / Diablo - Human Torch (painted, not translucent) / Crystal (classic Inhumans design) - Sue Richards (costume matches the GH Reed, include the existing swaddled baby sculpt and a new Franklin minifig) / Namor (classic green trunks look with trident, maybe an alt head) - Thing (all new sculpted head and rocky parts, retire the old molds please) / Silver Surfer (metallic paint, new board sculpt without a foot peg or hole for stand. Instead, make a new stand that the board slides into that Surfer can also attach to. I want to be able to display him both on the board or next to the board.) - BAF Invisible Woman (NOT clear translucent, either a frosted translucent or painted white plastic with detail tampos)
  25. Deadpool Minimates, absolutely. While I'm proud of my QC Colossus, NTW (despite loving her new look way more), and Vanessa, I'd love more official versions, as well as AjaxFrancis & Angel Dust, who I'm still not sure on how to piece together, not to mention Blind Al, Weasel, and Dopinder. Though I'd unfortunately have to sub in comic Domino in my display if we got the second movie as well. As for Disney being in control, as long as they leave Ryan as Wade, and allow him to be filthy & violent, I'm fine with them rebooting the X-verse (use Deadpool as the start of it - Colossus is perfect, I love Negasonic, and while I'm super disappointed at what could have been for Domino, I'll take her as-is to keep Reynolds in the red & black). I just really want to see Fantastic 4 done right. The second & third movies (everyone always forgets Corman was the first, lol) were close at least 2/4-3/4. Plus, (and I haven't finished Inhumans yet, so I don't know Bolt's fate yet, but) we could get the Illuminati with Reed & Xavier on board!
