Luke314pi's Customs (New customs October 5th)

I didn't know Zod was played by Stallone.

His face and beret were based on this artwork:

And his costume from this cover:

And he does have the silver shoulder pads on top of the chest block. :)

Love those new DC customs! Some of your best work yet! Azrael is for sure a contender for DC mate of the year. How hard was it to pant those arms on Ravager?

Very nice stuff, Luke! Love your Doctor & Superboy Prime!

Zod does look a lot Stallone-y, though. Not sure why - might be because with the beret & goatee I keep thinking of the recent Expendables Minimate.

Yeah, I can definitely see the Stallone resemblance now that you guys mention it. Can't be unseen. :)

Loving the DC stuff - especially Superboy Prime!

Ravager looks great too - we always need more girls who aren't smiling or looking confused!

These are great Luke! The commissioner made some good requests :whistling:

His costume is from the New Krypton storyline where there was a Superman nation and Zod was the head of the military. Superman left earth to join them and worked for Zod. I enjoyed that representation of Zod. It was an overall good superman story.

General Zod looks Fantastic and I love the 10th Doctor in the 3D Glasses.

I wish my customs could look as good as yours. I have my Custom Riker, Crusher, Data, & O'Brien are all on display at my office. I appreciate you commissioning the decals for me. I am really enjoying them on display.

Great Job and I am glad you share them with us.

I think the lips are a big part of why it looks Stallone-esque.

You lucky so-and-so. Awesome. I should get all my Luke customs together for a group shot one of these days, as well. Several of them are among my very favorite Minimates in my collection.

Who's the guy in the front row on the far right?

And Luke, your latest work is awesome, as always. Ernie Reyes Jr. is a Minimate fan? Awesome! TMNT 2 is one of my favorite movies.

Two new video game customs!

First up is a revised Link. I gave my <a href="http://luke314pi.com/link.html" target="_blank">old one</a> to my brother-in-law a long time ago, and after finishing Ganondorf, I had to have a new one:

<img src="http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/pipipi314/link-1.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Hat and hair are sculpey, shield is cut from sheet metal, and the shoulder strap is from one of the star trek mates.

Next up is a Big Daddy from Bioshock:

<img src="http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/pipipi314/bigdaddy1.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

<img src="http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/pipipi314/bigdaddy2.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I gave him a dirty paint job, like I did with Pyramid Head. He is a 2 1/2" mate. The body and drill are sculpey, and the cage thing around his eyes is made from twisty ties. I am very happy with how he turned out. <img src="http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I so want to make link.... Can you show your old one?(The link dosnt work.) Great robo-mate too :)

Luke, your customs are awe inspiring. I love the Darkness and the crimson bolt is great as well. Super was, in my opinion, a very underrated movie.

Keep up the awesome work!
