eclipse Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 what are those I agree its like DC wants to fail. Quote
Jatta Pake Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Only $13 a figure! I could buy one set of these or a whole case of Minimates. Hmmm. If Minimates had Minimates, would they look like these? Quote
Mirymate Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 MWHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! More quality decision making from the geniuses at DC/WB. Nice to see they can multi-task, what with letting the GL screenwriter pen their JLA movie and all. Quote
battlecat Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Uh, those appear to be Japanese trading figures -- the price is because they're being imported and then marked up a bunch by BBTS. Unlike all the other ugly DC minifigs, these really aren't going to make a difference to any potential Minimate market here in the West. Quote
karamazov80 Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Only $13 a figure! I call dibs on every single one of these that is produced. STEAL. Quote
TBT! Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 GRRRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! WTF! - looks like a 5 yr old made these from toilet rolls & cereal packets... What we don't get here is scale these toys are actually 27ft tall! T. Quote

What we don't get here is scale these toys are actually 27ft tall! T. My thought near enough. If a kid made them in school you would be happy but to have them made by a company and put out to retail! It looks like DC dont even look somtimes at what they are giving companys the rights to most of the time. Quote
MisterPL Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 If you read the fine print, these were hand-carved and painted by political prisoners in Asia. (Well, if you squint REALLY hard, you can kind of infer that.) Quote
groundhog7s Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) I'm just glad they finally made something that makes Blammoids look cool by comparison. Edited July 3, 2012 by groundhog7s Quote
boyd Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Actual article about the new Justice League brick figures can be found here. Apparently they're designed to look like cheap knock-offs. Quote
karamazov80 Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Apparently they're designed to look like cheap knock-offs. I don't suppose I'll ever understand the Japanese. . . Quote
Lobsterman Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) "Hey, DC Licensing, We've got a great concept for you – Justice League figures designed to look like fraudulent, low-quality garbage!" boyd Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Y'know Luke, you are looking for new toys for your store... Quote
luke314pi Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I could make a section called Toys Nobody Wants To Buy. Quote
hellpop Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Luke, I'm not a businessman per se, but I think that would probably be a bad idea. Quote
Jatta Pake Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 I could make a section called Toys Nobody Wants To Buy. Make that section and anytime someone tries to add one of these to their shopping cart they get hit with a popup message denigrating their intelligence. Quote
