Nessex
Just echoing the love for the folded up sleeve. That's a really nice bit of customising!
buttheadsmate
Boyd has far more up his sleeve than just Curt , however clever DST get Boyd's customs get cleverer.
boyd
Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I never knew one sleeve could be so popular.
MiniFiend UK
I have no idea who the spider dude is in your latest pic but it looks cool. I at first thought Man-Spider but to tall and the arms are weird. The head would fit nice on the new six arm Spidey for a start on a Man-Spider
eclipse
WoW Dr. Curt Conners is awsome ,im going to have to chime in as well- his rolled up sleeve is perfect!!!
boyd
Thanks for all the complements on Dr. Conners, guys. Next up I have a custom I've been wanting to do since July 2009 - the Red She-Hulk. You can see more pictures and the recipe for the ravishing, rampaging red beautie at my customs site. hellpop
I saw this on your site last night and was really impressed (more impressed then I am with the character...). Great use of one of my least favorite pieces, the !@#$ Jim Lee Storm hair. Great job on the face; she looks just like that Ed McGuinness cover, which is basically my only frame of reference for her. MiniFiend UK
She's a babe. She's a robo babe. In Latin, she'd be called Babia Majora. If she were a president, she'd be Baberaham Lincoln. Cool work on the custom. I don't know much on the character but I get a major Lady Death vibe from the design and pics I can google.
Psyguy
The hairpiece works really well, better than it does on Storm, I think.
Nessex
Wow - you even got the boob-belt. Great detailing on her, buddy
MINI_MYTE
Simply amazing boyd! Red She-Hulk is by far one of my favorite customs of yours. Great re-use of Storm's hair.
boyd
Thanks for all the compliments, guys. She wasn't possible until I realized I could re-use the Storm hair on her - then she came together. Wow - you even got the boob-belt. Great detailing on her, buddy She just wouldn't be Red She-Hulk without the boob-belt, y'know.
MiniFiend UK
Ohh a new primed custom to guess at....I haven't a clue but my heart gave a flutter because at first I thought it was Doctor Bong.
boyd
Not Dr. Bong, sorry. I have thought about doing him in the past, but if I make him, then I have to make Howard the Duck to go with him, and I'm not ready to do that much sculpting. boyd
Wow, those are great. I would love to have a gold Superman Minimate. Apparently many years ago there were plans for a gold-suited Superman figure in the Super Powers line for his 50th anniversary. I've always thought that was a cool look. Maybe Supes has had alot of costume variations and Elseworlds opens up loads of options. I vote Supes True Brit No True Brit Superman this time. But it looks like a fun costume - maybe I'll add him to the list... Hey, how about a new Superman custom? It's recovery Suit Superman, from the Return of Superman storyline: You can see more pictures and recipies for these Men of Steel at my customs site.
