gambitron
Demonpr, I like your 90s X-men diorama! That gives me some good ideas for displaying mine!
battlecat
This ISN'T my collection, nor a real minimate-based one, but-- WOAH!!! Check out all the Spidey stuff he's got! And that guy's even got some minimates, but that's nothing compared to the sheer amount of other things he has! http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2010/...-shelf-porn-73/ I'm all for anything that makes me feel like my toy collecting is "not that bad" Nice find though, what a crazy collection! I'd say the life-size movie Spidey, Spidey briefs, and Spidey troll doll are tied for creepiest...
Chazwinski
I'm all for anything that makes me feel like my toy collecting is "not that bad" Nice find though, what a crazy collection! I'd say the life-size movie Spidey, Spidey briefs, and Spidey troll doll are tied for creepiest... I can relate to worrying if I've taken things "too far". I'm definitely not teasing the guy, but I often find it odd when someone focuses on one character so intensely. I have a friend who , like myself, is a huge Storm fan. However, he ONLY collects Storm. So when you go to his house it's a shrine to her and it always makes me self-conscious about my own collections . Naturally, I try to get every figure released of her, but if I displayed her without all of the other characters that I enjoy alongside her, it would creep me out. I never have enjoyed her solo mini-series. It's only Storm in relation to the other X-Men and how she interacts with the others that makes her my fave, which I'll admit has waned in recent years, as no one seems to know how to write her anymore. Anyway, the guy has an awesome collection.
karamazov80
Insane Spidey collection. I'm glad the GI Joe Flint isn't as popular as Spidey. Being one of my all-time favorite characters (obviously--see avatar), I've bought just about any item related to that character that I could find--books, shampoo bottles, chapstick, kite, you name it. But it still all fits on a single book shelf.
Webhead
I picked up a bunch of the 3-tier display stands from The Container Store, and here's what I've done so far. As you can see, I'm organizing by wave. Oh yeah, and I'm also showing off my Gold/Silver Spideys I got. Great collection! Question for you...where did you get the clear round bases you have the minimates on? is that from container store as well?
buttheadsmate
Yeah & why have all your non-C3 guys stepped on the gum with their left foot rather than their right foot ?
youbastards
Great collection! Question for you...where did you get the clear round bases you have the minimates on? is that from container store as well? Thanks! No, those are clear Lego dish pieces I got on Bricklink.com. If you aren't familiar with Bricklink, it's an unofficial Lego site that people can buy/sell individual Lego pieces. I've made many purchases on it, and it's sellers are very reliable. The pieces I use are listed as "Trans-Clear Dish 2 x 2 Inverted (Radar)" and "Trans-Clear Dish 3 x 3 Inverted (Radar)" The 2x2 are smaller than the 3x3, but sometimes don't provide as much stability with larger 'mates or 'mates with big hairpieces. Yeah & why have all your non-C3 guys stepped on the gum with their left foot rather than their right foot ? That's my OCD kicking in... battlecat
Nice! Somehow in my brain it hadn't quite 'clicked' that they'd released so many... Also: that is one bright wall!

Hes got an original Beatles White Album with the babies hanging on his wall. Look over Spideys shoulder in the shot with the pinball machine. Thats a serious collectors item. demonpr
Oh man I love your pics. I'm trying to get all the Spidey villians too. I'm think gonna come up short on Carnage and Hydroman though. Not so easy to get. I love your Sin-Eater too.
fnwebslinger
Thanks dude! Good luck to both of us. This is why I can't really branch out to other Marvel characters - Spidey has way too many villains and supporting characters (and variants!) and it's kinda hard to backtrack. shanezey
I've started the task of moving out of my current apartment before grad school in the fall and I packed up all my 'Mates in a single box. I had previously left the box for my MAX Sentinel in storage (a closet at my mom's house), so I put him in a shoebox and had him on my lap in the car for an hour and a half. I know that the MAXs are kind of fragile and I didn't want to risk him losing a leg. It's sad to see the little guys all packed up, but they'll see light in a couple months. I packed them up in their original boxes for safe transport, and put the loose singles in a short clear box I found. Here's a snapshot.
