Nessex Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Those customs are great! Did you make them yourself? Would love to get myself an Omega Red & Cyber! Quote
Punisher Posted May 25, 2010 Author Posted May 25, 2010 Thanks guys. Red and Sabes were made by Skullbuster, and the others were made by myself. Here's a pic I took today inspired by the ending of Civil War Come on guys, let's see some pics! Quote
Captain Minimate Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Well I have something here-- it's just a few minimates' parts swapped. I just thought it looked cool because they beat up a lot of Endoskeletons. Random-ish. BTW, the camera was the built-in webcam from my Mac. So no special effects or anything. Quote
Dio Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Thanks guys. Red and Sabes were made by Skullbuster, and the others were made by myself. Here's a pic I took today inspired by the ending of Civil War Come on guys, let's see some pics! Ha, it's about time punisher got a SDCC Punisher. Quote

Funny you say that because that Punisher is from SDCC. Another one would be pretty awesome though and a FrankenCastle would be even more so. Quote
THALASTDRAGON Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 @the punisher: u got a nice collection there Quote
buttheadsmate Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I came across these today in my 'cave'. Take a look at these two familiar sets of packaged Marvel Minimates from 'way back then' ........take a good look. Quote
MINI_MYTE Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I came across these today in my 'cave'. Take a look at these two familiar sets of packaged Marvel Minimates from 'way back then' ........take a good look. Aaahhh... the good ol' days, when minimates were new and easily obtainable. Oh the memories. Quote
Nessex Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I don't think i'm noticing whatever it is that i am meant to be noticing. . . Can someone give me a hint? Quote
youbastards Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) The figures are the same, but those pairings never made it to retail that way. Spider-Man shipped with Carnage Wolverine shipped with Sabertooth I just 'inventoried' my sealed 'mates this weekend and forgot how bulky that original packaging was. I still think the best packaging was the rectangle boxes. They should've kept that packaging but just added windows to show off the 'mates. Edited August 2, 2010 by youbastards Quote

youbastards Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Thanks for learnin' me something new, Jeff! Quote
Nessex Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 The figures are the same, but those pairings never made it to retail that way. Ah - thank you! I was looking for erroneous text, production variants in the individual Mates etc . . . Didn't even think about the pairings. LOL. I still think the best packaging was the rectangle boxes. They should've kept that packaging but just added windows to show off the 'mates. Agreed. I loved how much easier and more compact storing those little rectangular boxes from waves 4 - 13 were Quote
buttheadsmate Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 As Minijeff points out these are indeed the Wal-Mart Canadian issue ,they are bi-lingual on the front just under the bubble . You can easily confuse these for the standard issue even though the pairings are different . They only other 'wrong' pairing is 'Logan /Sabretooth' which I'm hoping to find as I sift through some old boxes. I've never quite understood the logic of the changed pairings ? Quote

I think it was so you could get the team without having to get sabertooth....if you only wanted the good guys then you were fine Jeff of the Miniacs Quote
luke314pi Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 A quick minimate sketch I did on my iPad using SketchBook Pro: I might refine it more later, as some of the proportions are off, but mostly I just wanted to play around with the software. Quote
blacksun1520 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 That's awesome Luke! How do you like the iPad? BS Quote
luke314pi Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 So far I really like it, especially after jailbreaking it. Quote
Ninja Mate Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 So far I really like it, especially after jailbreaking it. Nice! I jailbroke my ipod touch last year. best thing I ever did with it. I have not yet done it with my iPhone. maybe once I am out of warranty with it. Quote
buttheadsmate Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I understand the principle of which you speak although I don't possess the items of which you speak...I am however continually amused how few of you US guys (the ones I speak to anyway) don't have a (hacked) multi-region DVD player. Sorry about the off-topic but that has always fascinated me......am I wrong? Quote
youbastards Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) I have a 'CyberHome' region-free DVD player just for a few PAL releases I own of uncut 1970's Jackie Chan films. Edited August 6, 2010 by youbastards Quote
