Kostisfire
I've always liked spawn. I made one my self and even though he looks the part he has very limited articulation. Are there any flexible materials that I could use for his cape? If you expanded on my cloth minimate cape idea, you could make a very elaborate cape that was also very flexible. I might just do that. Thanks for the info!!
Nessex
Bravo! freaking outstanding! Those are some of the finest work i've ever seen you do, Luke. A+ on all 5 mates.
hellpop
Excellent! And here are some pics I posted in another thread, to show off your customs a bit more in their natural habitat. Seamless (though, I have to admit, I like Luke's first Metamorpho face decal better(.

pavehawk78
I was dusting today and thanks to the inspiration provided by karamazov80 I decided to take a group shot of all of the custom DC mates Luke has done for me. By the way Luke, expect an email for more customs soon
luke314pi
Thanks for sharing! I am currently working on some customs for Ernie Reyes Jr (Keno the pizza boy from TMNT 2) for his awesome new Kickstarter project. It turns out he is a minimate fan! groundhog7s
I'm surprised there hasn't been more Kickstarter Minimate projects, especially when you can be involved.
karamazov80
You lucky so-and-so. Awesome. I should get all my Luke customs together for a group shot one of these days, as well. Several of them are among my very favorite Minimates in my collection.
luke314pi
Here are the customs that I did for Ernie Reyes Jr for his upcoming comic Sonny Dragon #1. The SDCC version sold out, and Ernie is working on a mass market release. A secondary use of the customs will be to show potential buyers what is possible with this license. I have included some comic art pics to show what these were based on, although I was also give several other sketches and upcoming artwork. Wei Lo Lilly Fox Master Chen Sonny Dragon Ernie also had an advertiser drop out at the last minute, so there was room in the comic for a Minimate Factory ad, which you can see here. Coming soon are more DC and Doctor Who customs.
karamazov80
Those are all amazing Luke. And very cool that you got an ad in the comic!
undeadpool
i remember when you first showed me those but they look better every time i see em
Bob Harris
Love the style of the figures and the original art. Very cool translated. Can we have a closer look of their back? (might come out wrong, right?) Especially Lilly Fox's backside. (Came out wrong, too, doesn't it?)
karamazov80
Especially Lilly Fox's backside. (Came out wrong, too, doesn't it?) Looks like TM2 hacked into another member's account again *sigh*
boyd
Some really nice customs, Luke. A great resemblance to the art while still maintaining the Minimate aesthetic. Plus I really like how you pulled off the goalie mask.
luke314pi
Unfortunately I shipped these off to Ernie last week so he could have them on display at SDCC, so I don't have pics of the backs.
luke314pi
New custom time! First of all I have 2 Doctor Who customs that have been sitting around half finished for about a year. I am trying to finish up all of my 10th Doctor customs before I move into 11th Doctor stuff. Then I have some DC commissions. 10th Doctor with striped suit and 3D glasses Martha in UNIT gear Superboy Prime Ravager General Zod Kid Flash (I still need to add his yellow bolts on the sides of his head) Azrael
UK Collector
Wow! And I mean WOW! Love Azrael and Superboy Prime (he's one of my personal faves). I'm not familiar with that General Zod look (is he from a recent storyline?) but your mini is superb. Great work all round Luke, if these were commissions you will have some very happy customers. TM2 Dinobot
I didn't know Zod was played by Stallone.
luke314pi
I didn't know Zod was played by Stallone. His face and beret were based on this artwork: And his costume from this cover: And he does have the silver shoulder pads on top of the chest block. Punisher
Love those new DC customs! Some of your best work yet! Azrael is for sure a contender for DC mate of the year. How hard was it to pant those arms on Ravager? Edited August 1, 2012 by Punisher
boyd
Very nice stuff, Luke! Love your Doctor & Superboy Prime! Zod does look a lot Stallone-y, though. Not sure why - might be because with the beret & goatee I keep thinking of the recent Expendables Minimate.
luke314pi
Yeah, I can definitely see the Stallone resemblance now that you guys mention it. Can't be unseen.
Nessex
Loving the DC stuff - especially Superboy Prime! Ravager looks great too - we always need more girls who aren't smiling or looking confused!
