Not just my opinion, see this thread from back in Jan. http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.ph...ost&p=61572 The 4 Pack: Bond, Villain, Bond Totty, Henchman seems to work for (almost)every film in the series and some great examples are given in the thread linked above. The hardest one for me to pin down to just 4 would be diamonds are forever. I'd probably have to go for Bond, Tiffany case, Wint and Kidd. as they are the stand out characters. I suspect your suggestions for full waves would leave a lot of figures on shelves, would people really impulse buy those other sets without a bond? I suspect not. T. Eh, maybe. It does seem to work for the Craig era, but those two films are so connected that it just would. The others, well, it doesn't work unless you buy by the set. Good set for Diamonds by the way. I suspect Blofeld goes in You Only Live Twice? (with the first ever minimate Cat I suppose). And out of curioosity, where did you put the other major recurring characters: Leiter, M, Q, and Moneypenny? One really does need those to truly do Bond. Those that start with a * are sets that I dont think should be done unless all the others sell stupidly well and people are begging for more! Drop M in Quantum, put her in a Brosnan pack because she was in that era. That way we can fit in other characters that show up only in Craig era like Black Leiter and Mathis. Put Leiter in Casino and Mathis in Quantum. He was in Quantum and his part was a bit bigger than Leiter (though shorter), so it makes sense. What about mates off of the video games? it occoures to me that the Goldeneye game that has Dr. No vs Goldfinger would give us no shortage of badguys. I'll still never forget this little 6 year old kid cussing up a storm because he wanted to play as James Bond and 007 dies in the first 30 seconds of the game. Priceless. His response will be "we'd love to do it, but MGM (or whomever it is now) isn't interested". You know, this got me thinking that someone with a LOT of time on their hands should attempt to keep a running list of Chuck's responses for various licenses. I've heard that before, though it seems like an odd position to take. I can understand not wanting to license to a company like Hasbro for children's toys, but high- and low-end collectibles for adults wouldn't seem to have an adverse impact on the property. Are the people that brought you the likes of Pussy Galore, Dr. Holly Goodhead, and Octopussy really that concerned about their image? I'm pretty sure that's why WB/DC took such offense to Diggers Minimates Batman film: they were busy promoting the new, dark, 'serious' Dark Knight film/s and didn't want any publicity around the hammy old Adam West series, which the Minimates movie seemed to take it's cues from. I don't care what anyone says.) so maybe the rights would be easier to get. But then we might get a peter Seller's mate, and I don't think anyone wants that.
