DSTZach Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 This set should be getting revealed over at comicvine.com any second now, but here's your first look! Quote
elhonez Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 SQUEEE [ahem] I mean... thanks Zach! This set looks fantastic! Quote
Shogi Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 SQUEEE [ahem] I mean... thanks Zach! This set looks fantastic! SECONDED! Mainly for the Werewolf by Night, but the others are great additions too! Quote
Rad Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Midnight Sons? I'm not too familiar, but apart from the Obvious Dr. Strange, there must be Moribius and Man-Wolf, but who's the guy with the bandolier? And of course what I should have done was head over to comic vine, like I just did. That's a great looking set, Zach. Quote

Whole set is cool. Quote
DSTZach Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 We almost called it Midnight Sons, but saved that name in case we ever make the '90s-era team. This was all classics. I believe this Strange will have spell-casting hands, and the stakes on Blade are removable. This is one of the sets I was referencing in my "research" photo. Still have a full run of Adventure into Fear starring Morbius from my youth, and my buddy Jon LOVES werewolves, and gave me a huge run of WBN. Quote
Punisher Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 All. Hail. DST. Midnight Sons have been my most wanted boxed set for as long as I can remember. Now i'm crossing my fingers for a Damien Hellstorm/Man-Thing TRU pack, but this boxed set itself will keep me satisfied for a long time Quote
Lobsterman Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 NICE! Now there's no excuse for someone not to do a Jefferson Twilight custom... Any chance this is one of those "surprise" sets you tell us about right before it's released, like the Disney sets? This would be an amazing Halloween treat. Thanks for the scoop, Zach! Quote
boyd Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Very, very nice. Love me some Marvel monsters. And getting a First Appearance Blade is a bonus. So, when's Man-Thing coming? Quote
murderofcrows Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 That is the bomb! Forgive my profanity but fuck me that is awesome Quote
karamazov80 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Awesome. This is a BUY BUY BUY! Quote
UK Collector Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 These look brilliant. Morbius is sure to become one of my all time faces. Quote
winkerbean Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Poor Dr Strange, always a 4-packer! Quote

Any chance this is one of those "surprise" sets you tell us about right before it's released, like the Disney sets? This would be an amazing Halloween treat. Thanks for the scoop, Zach! Ha ha, no. It'll be opened up for pre-orders through Previews tomorrow. So the ordering will be timed to the season, but delivery will be in the Spring. Not sure we have any "quick reveal" MM sets coming up any time soon. Certainly not Marvel, but maybe a couple of other licenses will get a short notice set before the end of the year. Looking forward to dropping some Marvel Select bombs on fools later on this month, too. Quote
Valo487 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 YES!! I love this box set so much. Hot sex!! Quote
Zak Katz Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Hahaha hot sex! They look awesome! Thanks Zach! Quote
Liney Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) Another nice set. I like the updated Dr Strange, still going to be a bit of a pain to get hold of in the UK I fear. Aside from the facial expression and my incorrect coloring of his cape/wings(?) on Morbius its pretty close to my design I did earlier this year. Edited September 20, 2012 by Liney Quote
