  1. Top wants that I've been able to scratch off the list would be... GSXM Banshee, Sunfire, Firelord, Gabriel, Ronan, classic Drax, Mar-vell, classic Falcon, Adam Warlock (still want the Starlin version or "thunderbolt" look), Vulture, Aim agents, Grim Reaper, Modok, Union Jack, Black Bolt, Lockjaw and a few others. Would still love to see the rest of the Inhumans, original Guardians and Liberty Legion. For individual characters I'm still hoping for Spitfire, mighty Destroyer, Hellcat, 3-D Man, FA Wonder Man, Shang-Chi, Jack of Hearts, Two-Gun Kid, Stingray, Whizzer and Attuma. Oh and classic Magus too! Along with a few more.
  2. I think it looks fine, although I can't say I've ever genuinely cared about the Inhumans. Medusa's hair looks better in the trailer, although I'm also not sure how they'll do the movement. I might watch the premiere in theaters, but I don't think I get ABC.
  3. Kamala Kahn, Captain Marvel Carol, Black Bolt and Medusa, Inferno and a bunch of other Inhumans they made up, and Ultron. Red Hulk (S.M.A.S.H. Version), too. He replaced Hulk for a short spell.
  4. I was trying to get a GotG title to work for the box set but haven't come up with a lineup that fits the bill. Maybe Inhumans?
  5. classic x-men costumes that get a lot of requests that i can think of top of my head would be 70s Marvel Girl and hooded Rogue (add or take away a few pieces and you get modern Rogue). updated costumes could be any of the other 3 Uncanny X-Men from the Bendis era, since UXM Magneto will be hitting TRU a couple waves before that. god forbid we get Phoenix 5 Namor and Magik, ever. modern characters... there aren't really any new looks that i'd say need a new mate other than Psylocke... oh! maybe we'll get Monet, from Uncanny? she's semi classic, ehhh? she could even have alternate hands with... well, i won't spoil the story. i'd love a Monet tho. Secret Empire and Cap's new costume do seem a good possibility, tho. from promo art alone we could get that new Iron Heart, Ms Marvel, Medusa, or a new Doctor Strange. Marvel Now characters... updated look could easily be Mockingbird (tho she could be a classic too) or Spider-Woman. Hawkeye (Kate). a number of Inhumans. new Wasp. updated Wasp.
  6. So tonight at work I opened my order from Luke. This is the kinda purchase I make when comic stuff comes out, particularly classic comic stuff. Three custom cases. The only character I didn't *really* want was Gregor and even with that, it's just that I'd have preferred classic Blacklash/Whiplash or Ghost Grey Gargoyle or so forth before him. I've been buying the shit outta series like this for awhile now and continue to do so to show support. Now I *finally* have classic Falcon and Black Knight, two of my most wanted characters ever. Series like this give me hope for classic Inhumans, comic Warriorrs Three and the Wrecking Crew. So this is my formal thank you to Zach and everybody else who has listened to alllll my wishlisting/cinematic-bemoaning over the years. This is like a whole series of slang for me. And if you were around back before he came out, you should remember all my Kampaigning then. So thank you Zach. And thanks also to Luke for getting these beauties to me super quick.
  7. The question is if audiences will let those characters fade into the background. It doesn't seem like it's working too well in the comics, as Marvel's attempt to make the Inhumans the new X-Men has been a big dud, and just looking through the month-to-month sales for Marvel in November (as I am doing now) shows some very bad numbers for some supposedly high-profile books and characters. You can't just say "everyone care about Amadeus Cho now!" and expect everyone to care about Amadeus Cho.
  8. I'm hoping for some of the big MCU characters I still don't have comic 'mates of (Black Panther, Wasp, Scott Lang, Vision, Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange, Elektra...). This could also be a way of getting some more comicish GotG members, or maybe some new Inhumans.
  9. I'm what we get is more along the lines of what we get for the Fox movies (X-men films mainly.) The last couple we've gotten a comic release to coincide with the release of the movie in theatres or DVD. Days of Future Past got it's own wave but since then Apocalypse released a month after Wave 60 hit shelves. Deadpool hit shelves a month before the films February release. Giant Size wave hit the same month as Apocalypse DVD release. Wave 72 is looking like a possible release with the Logan movie. I'm hoping for something like that with this show. An all Inhumans comic wave to line up with the premiere. I don't think DST can make mates of the Fox movies anymore and I wonder if the reason we haven't gotten AoS mates is something similar... Like DST doesn't have the license for ABC shows or something?
  10. I desperately hope we will get classic comic versions of the Inhumans royal family. Classic KIRBY, boy! Slight redo of Black Bolt and a tiny shade difference on Lockjaw, plus Medusa, Crystal, Gordon, Karnak, Triton and Maximus. Somehow finagle an army builder Alpha Primitive and we'll be golden.
  11. I'm torn, they're one of the bigger corners of the MU to get very little attention, but if we only get them because of the show I'm not sure where that leaves the comic versions. We have gotten animated and movie GOTG but still no comic versions, except Gamora. I can live with that since they're fairly close to their comic versions, but the Inhumans may be more of a reinvention.
  12. The problem is that its on broadcast TV, essentially public television (meaning no one has to pay to receive the signal). If AoS was on basic cable it would be a different show. They could go into the darker subject matter and really get in depth with the characters. But on broadcast TV they have to appeal to the widest audience possible, and thus the show is "bland" and watered down for mass consumption. AoS has good bones and a great concept. Clark Gregg is brilliant as Coulson but he's gone from cool, mysterious government agent to leading man and that's just not who the character started out as. Unfortunately broadcast TV viewers (according to network execs) aren't interested unless its stereotyped characters and "creature of the week" plotlines. And before anyone points to the DC shows as being successful on broadcast TV, Supergirl didn't cut it on one of the Big Three. The CW is a niche network with 10 hours of programming a week and might as well be a basic cable station. And they know how to market their programming to their core audience, which skews a LOT younger than the Big Three. You won't get that kind of marketed programming from any of the major networks, no matter how hard they try. We started watching Timeless, a "genre" sci-fi series and even though its been engaging so far in the first few episodes, I can already see it developing into a formulaic "creature of the week" show. Its the same thing with AoS and unfortunately will probably be the same for Inhumans. Broadcast TV just isn't the place for great genre television. At least great genre television that makes tons of money, which the major networks need to keep going. That's why the Netflix shows, GoT, etc do so well. They're paid for already by subscribers so they can loosen the reins a bit and really tell great stories with fully fleshed out characters. Just imagine AoS on an FX or AMC (corporate red tape not being an issue). Man what a show it could have been. But its a mainstream show on a major network and that's most likely what Inhumans will end up being too. But at least we can say we got an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Inhumans series. Neither would have happened 10 years ago.
  13. AOS may be coming to an end. Its ratings have steadily declined, season to season. I think Inhumans may be an attempt to bring higher value Marvel brand content to ABC, which is probably losing money on AOS at this point. It can't be justified on life support for cross marketing value if no one is watching. (below 3M viewers an ep and steadily dropping, i.e. less than the Netflix shows). I don't know what it is, it's hard to quantify. Other cable shows are "cinematic" - GoT, Westworld, Daredevil. But AoS has always felt like "TV." Despite its effects budget. Simplistic and improbable plots? Cheap sets? I dunno. Maybe the problem is that the MCU connection sets the expectations too high.
  14. the article i read said that it would not be a spin off of AOS, so i imagine that means they can start from the ground up with the Inhuman lore. i tried to get into the new Inhumans series when it first came out a few years ago, but didn't care for it. that said, i'd gladly buy a set of the the royal family if they were released as minimates. throw em in the bag.
  15. Don't mind me. I'm just over here in the corner, chewing on my foot. If they are bringing in the whole Black Bolt clan then I'd hope this is a prequel to the current AoS Inhuman storyline. Like way prequel as in how the Inhumans ended up on Earth, their history with the Kree, etc. But more likely it will be set in the current MCU with the Royal Family coming out of hiding to take charge of their people/avenge their mistreatment/etc.
  16. I love the original Inhumans. But Marvel trying to shuffle aside the X-Men and put the Inhumans in their place because of movie rights just doesn't feel so fun. I watched an episode of Agents of Shield because an Inhuman was in the commercial. But he really didn't do anything and the show wasn't any better than what I had given up on long ago. I know some people really like it, and that's cool, it just feels like a lot of talking and no action. The movies are pretty damn good, though.
  17. I don't know that we'll get Black Bolt etc in the show as (so far) the MCU Inhumans are basically alien decendants who were transformed into metahumans via terrigen crystals rather than radioactive spider bite/gamma blast/genetic mutation. They haven't gone anywhere near the classic comic characters. Having said that, I'd be down for MCU figures. Though I'd rather get Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 'mates first.
  18. This thread is my fault sadly (I'm not sorry) It just ticks me off that Crystal a member of three large teams: Fantastic Four, Inhumans, Avengers that married into the X-Men has been neglected and i think that is the intent of my selection. But I will be cheating by saying it's four figures: The Power Pack. And now the why: The are connected to every franchise in the Marvel Universe. Katie connected the X-Universe to the team with her adventures with Wolverine. Alex joined the New Warriors and the Fantastic Four. Julie was in the Avengers Academy. Jack had adventures with Spider-man and was Franklin Richard's best friend. Plus since they are kids (i.e. no breasts) the figures could switch heads to designate which power each Power had since the siblings could power swap.
  19. Crystal has been overlooked now in 43 years of Marvel action figures, if you go back to Mego's first offerings in 1973. (Crystal was introduced as a character in 1965) I think with Agents of SHIELD at least paying lip service to the concept of Inhumans, the royal family is a bit overdue in MiniMate format, especially since we already have their pet dog. They're "kind of a big deal." (Ron Burgundy should play Karnak)
  20. If DST makes a Crystal mate for the Inhumans movie or just in general all is forgiven... Just saying.
  21. With the exception of Molly being a mutant (Inhumans), there's nothing about the Runaways' earlier stories - especially their origin - that connects to the Marvel universe at all.
  22. What I've done is gotten a Marvel Unlimited membership. and stay off of spoiler boards. For 10 bucks you get all of the comics digitally and then I buy the titles that I literally can't wait for like both Inhumans which aren't the best titles but with Crystal/Medusa at the helm I'm going to keep buying it until I get my mates out of them.
  23. Yeah, yeah, I know, "yet another wishlist thread" but come on, the forum's been kinda dead after the update (lack of news and all, so I figured, what better way to pass the time than take a look at Marvel's even newer costumes! I mean, those old tights that debuted like, a year ago, are like, super-old now. Time for a change! Kidding aside, I spotted some designs that'd make for some fairly interesting mates, so yeah, here you go. Or, you can just bypass all that and just curse Marvel for having another relaunch so soon, I won't judge you (truth be told I'll join you)... For the complete look at the new titles, here's a link: Marvel NOW! 2.0 Titles | As a sidenote, it's been confirmed that certain series have just been ommited from this catalogue, and will show up in the October solicits as regularly. So, no X-Men cancellations. Anyway, I won't bomb this thread with pics, rather, I'll post just one. Mainly because it's one of the two or three titles I'm anticipating 9it's still Bendis writting, but eh, I'm either too optimistic, or too starved for a Doom solo that I'll take anything I can), and because I think it'd make for a good mate. As you can see, these are Maleev's sketches for Doom's armour. Not terribly excitting, as it's mainly the ANAD Armour with a hood & cape combo, a different paint-job, and a few minor touches. Just for the novelt of it though, I'd love a mate, because, even though it's a boring Iron Doom design, it's a darn good Modern Doctor Doom Redesign. And good as it may be, the MvC3 Doom has some serious issues. It's basically a small statue at this point. So, yeah,if I had to choose one fig from this new batch, I'd choose Vic. Maybe he can be packed with his ANAD look, the suit & tie one. Now, you might be thinking "what about the F4 ban", but dunno, I don't think Marvel would publish a Doom solo titled "Infamous Iron Man", while also putting Ben on the GotG, and Johnny in the Inhumans. Something tells me that come this year's SDCC, we're in for a surprise, considering the recent Fox & Marvel X-Men TV Show deal. Or I'm just day dreaming, who knows? But I'd surely take an Iron Doom mate... Apart from this one, there aren't many terribly new looks. There's Thor Odinson, the USAvengers, the Classic Thunderbolts with slight costume tweaks, Prowler, Mosaic, plus all the ANAD looks that haven't been made already. You could come up with a great ANAD/NOW! 2.0 Wave, truth be told. So, in the spirit of wishlisting, here's my dream wave: Iron Doom/Victor Von Doom (Or more like Vincent Cassel) Captain America (Steve Rogers)/ Black Widow Moon Knight (Mr. Knight or Super-Hero look)/ Black Panther Unworthy Thor/ Spider-Man 2099 So, yeah, there you have it' I'd also like Chulk and others, but these would be main wants. Yeah, it's A-List heavy, but I've got my reasons. ANAD Black Panther has a really cool Mass-Effect like Mask (it's from Hickman's run, but here it's used more often) and I think this plus his "weapons" would make for some great extras. ANAD Black Widow has a new look, with short hair, which I love, plus, the TRU 17 one was kinda wonky. Unworthy Thor actually looks cool, and Spider-Man 2099 could be a very fun mate. Iron Doom/Vic I already gave my thoughts on, MK doesn't need any more info, and HYDRA Cap, well, I like him, weirdly enough... Oh, and one more thing... Here's your reference DST, now get on that Moon Knight Wave! And yeah, that's Astronaught Marc Spector. It'll be debuting in MK #5, which is a collection of various "trippy" sequences from various artists.
  24. I just want a Titus, J'son(Star-Lord's father) and Collector. Maybe another Nebula, since I missed out on that one. Or some Inhumans since they were featured in the show. But Cosmo would be really cool.
