Danny
Zach Oat used to work for ToyFare magazine. He's doing a great job promoting Minimates so far.
TM2 Dinobot
When did he get hired? I was not aware of this. Or maybe I was and simply forgot. Maybe we can get him to come along with Chuck for the next live chat? Speaking of which, I assume it'll be after the con season is over, but are there any more plans for a live chat at this moment? MINI_MYTE
Zach also heads up DST's FB page. He is a great guy and gave me a few custom contract jobs back in the early days of Toy Fare magazine. Glad he's part of the DST gang now, cause this guy knows his toys.
Danny
In terms of promoting Minimates on DST's website and social networks, Zach's been in post since May, although I expect he would have joined before then.

They do ship internationally. http://aimg.disneystore.com/content/global/guest_services10/shipping.html#IntlShipping Unless you are on the banned countries list. [edit] Nevermind. I just went to the product page of the Heroic Age set and just saw the little blurb on no international shipping for that product. I never noticed that. http://www.disneystore.com/action-figures-toys-marvel-universe-minimates-4-pack/mp/1279425/1000255/ Edited July 12, 2011 by storm 1:

I never noticed that. http://www.disneystore.com/action-figures-toys-marvel-universe-minimates-4-pack/mp/1279425/1000255/ It took a little while for that blurb to show up when the set first went up for sale, maybe a week or so? Before that they shipped my international order out just fine. I'm hoping there will be a similar mix-up with the FF set for us early birds , but if not Luke's is a great alternative. Also, 1000th post! Woot! Edited July 12, 2011 by battlecat

Ivan
Ms. Firefighter might be one of the show promos. She is featured rather prominently. I kind of thought Ms. Firefighter (I call her Miss July) might be in a future Femme Fatales box set. It would be weird having DST give out promos of a sexy female firefighter to random kids at SDCC. Unless that's what's underneath her uniform, then it's okay. Guess she's not a promo, instead she's a poster for kids to hang above their beds... (SDCC Details) Saturday, July 23 All Day: Diamond Select Toys, Booth 2607 - Real-life Minimates MAX Firewoman, available for photographs I'm not sure what to think about that. I imagine it would be pretty hard to get around the con floor with only 14 points of articulation. I think it might be Chuck working the booth and wearing that cardboard MAX female firefighter suit. I mean, come on, the hint is milk. She needs cookies to go with that milk! It's Chuck! His milk shake brings all the collectors to his yard!
Mirymate
The funny thing is, if they actually hire some hot aspiring model with future lower back problems to wiggle around in the wife beater and suspenders outfit, folks will be on some very real level disappointed. groundhog7s
There's just something very creepy about that Firewoman. It'll be interesting to see if they have someone in a cardboard Minimate costume or if they go with an extremely flat-chested model.

battlecat
Minimate booth girls seems a bit... odd. Especially with the kids-marketed line. But whatever. Also, 1000th post! Woot! Woohoo!!!
