boyd
My local TRU blew through the MAX two-packs, but have sold maybe two or three of the vehicles.
SouthFLGuy
I'm more than a bit confused about the M.A.X. TRU Wave of figures.... & the vehicles for that matter ....... I was under the impression that the figures had done quite well sales-wise whilst the jets had fared less so. I again assumed that the BTTF TRU vehicle was perhaps the only vehicle that had done well in the entire range of vehicles produced ? Now I read that they're on clearance....is that bad news or just a normal occurence at TRU? I was told that in a few weeks they are resetting the boys department so probably just clearing space. I'm pretty sure the MAx Heroes will be 4.98 and the vehicles 9.98. Not super clearance, but its something.

Jatta Pake
Huge props to Diamond for a diverse representation of heroes. This set is an army builders dream. Any speculation as to what the insert is all about?
youbastards
Per Chuck, the MAX boxset is due in stores on 7/16, but that is a Saturday, so I wonder if it was a typo and he meant either 7/6 or 7/13? "Latest from our friends in the warehouse. MM MAX 4 pack and Retro Cloth Pike and Salt Vampire will be in stores 7/16!" luke314pi
I can confirm that the 4-pack is arriving next week.
youbastards
M.A.X. Series 2 Announced!!! Search & Rescue Undersea Operations By now, you’ve hopefully gotten the chance to play with the incredibly detailed real-life heroes of Mobile Action Xtreme (MAX) Minimates Series 1, and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Elite Heroes four-pack next week. Well, get ready for more MAX! This fall, Series 2 will hit Toys “R” Us, and not only will you get a second chance to buy the Fire and Police sets, you’ll also get two new sets — Search & Rescue and Undersea Operations! The two Search & Rescue specialists come with a flashlight with strap, a medical kit, a coiled rope and a satellite phone, while the two SCUBA divers come with a scuba tank, a flashlight, a spear gun, a knife with a leg sheath and extra hair. And look for a new MAX vehicle, the APC, to appear in this fall’s third series of Minimates Vehicles! Check out the pictures below (with a stripped-down figure on the left and the two geared-up figures on the right), and check out more MAX heroes here! groundhog7s
Now I feel stupid starting a thread about this wave when you were just going to post in here about it. I also feel stupid for buying a bunch of Black Lagoon packs to custom make undersea ops guys. Edited July 1, 2011 by groundhog7s
youbastards
Yup, you should feel stupid...for both of those things! I agree with your post though, re-releasing the Firefighters seems like a waste of time since there were so many packs already in Series 1, and they take up 2 of the spots in the LCS boxset. I would rather have seen the Special Ops pack and the Law Enforcement if they are just straight up reissues.
drgnrbrn316
It might just be to keep something that appeals to kids on the shelf. Kids love firemen and policemen, so if you always keep them in the assortment, then they fly off the shelves. Works for Spider-Man too.
boyd
Kids do love firefighters - my three-year old daughter picked out her first pack of Minimates, and out of all elevendy-bazillion Toys R Us seems to have in stock these days, she picked a firefighter set. And then named one of them Squirty. But I digress... Anyway, glad to see that these will get a Wave 2, and I love the new packs. Great re-use of parts, and I love the colors, all bright and bold. Turtle
These look GREAT! I am really digging the Search and Rescue set. And I for one don't mind picking up rereleases of the Policemen and Firefighters.
pawcanada
Well, I feel like a cool for posting in the other thread.. As I said there, both of the new sets look great, especially the diver one. As for the re-releases, I didn't manage 2 get all of them first time around, so its great to see the fire chief set is back, but too bad we're not getting special ops. None the less, looking forward to this.
Lobsterman
Very clever reuse of pieces. I think the one S&R guy's bulky jacket is the only new piece, if I'm not mistaken.

No, that's a reuse from the Platoon set. Charlie Sheen's character, I think (without bothering to look it up on Minimate Database).
Jatta Pake
Can we begin speculation on MAX Heroes Wave 3? I think we will see: Special Ops re-release Special Ops repaint Coast Guard Army
undeadpool
while we are only seeing two new packs, they do look great and i dont mind the police and fire fighter packs returning since i need another of each
Ivan
And then named one of them Squirty. But I digress... Excellent! I think your daughter should decide the official names for all the MAX figures.
TM2 Dinobot
No one needs new firefighters, DST. It was the Marines that we couldn't find!
Turtle
Really? Round here it was police and firefighters that sold out fastest. Marines and smoke jumpers lingered a bit longer.
MINI_MYTE
I picked up the MAX heroes 4-pack from my CBS yesterday. Nothing really new with these other than the woman and ethnic faces. The lady cop does have a tampo underneath her bulletproof vest ( boobs included), but does NOT come with spare arms or feet to display her in a regular uniform. The asian firefighter comes with brown hair (which seems a bit odd as he has black hair on the packaging pics) and the yellow paint used for his skin tone was put on rather quickly. There are lots of chunks / paint blobs on mine. The special opps officer has a really goofy freaked out expression on his face.
TM2 Dinobot
I'll trade for that female cop if anyone has a spare. I'll trade for that female cop if anyone has a spare.
MINI_MYTE
As requested by minijeff, here are some pics of the MAX heroes 4-pack. Again I must stress that this set is lacking in accessories. There are no extra arms for the cop, firefighter and smoke jumper. There are no regular feet for the cop. Hairpieces are missing for the special opps officer and the cop. The firefighter and smoke jumper only come with one tool each. Again I must say that the Asian firefighter looks odd and distracting with brown hair. I hope anybody who purchased this set has extra parts from the TRU 2-packs in order to make non gear bulked up minimates. Anyone know when the blue max jet is supposed to be released?
