Nessex
It's like 35 degrees centigrade here. . . way too hot for socks! Also - as a former foot model, i know how important it is to allow the feet to breath after a long day at the office
NorthRaider
No new haul today aside from the Ghostbusters blank from the Hunt contest, but I just felt like venting a bit here: Just got out-BIN'd on eBay over pre-owned Pixies album I've been looking for since forever I'm kinda depressed, and I vehemently hate whoever it was that beat me just now. [/typical eBay-related rant] On the plus side, I managed to BIN on two other kinda-cool CDs I stumbled upon. I guess this means I can save a little more money for 'mates. MinnesotaIceman
My brother and I recently hit the mother load at Super Target. We found the ultra-rare Grey Hulk and Bullseye Marvel Universe figures, both of which are among the rarest (and priciest) MU figures. I now have a mental picture of a 'foot model' .....it's not pretty.... but for an Australian to be able to model 'anything' is a feat Nice haul Nessex ....2 DC Wave 1's in a single picture is a pretty sight. Sometime this week i'm expecting about 5 sets of wave 1 to come in (picked up on behalf of other MMMV members of course). It'll be both a great pleasure & very hard to send them off

groundhog7s
I suppose this counts for posting in the 'Haul Thread'. Last night, at my company Christmas party, I won a $150 Blue Ray/DVD player. What's really cool is our DVD player just broke last week and we were going to replace it with some of our Christmas money. I haven't cared about Blue Ray, but having one now gets my interest. groundhog7s
You made me think of my late uncle who shelled out big bucks for a Beamax when they first came out. He claimed they were the future and that no one would ever buy VHS.
buttheadsmate
Ironically Betamax was 'by far the better format'........ although to be fair I can't remember why now I have speculated (for fun) on various collectables & by far the worst debacle for me was buying up VHS box sets of the X-Files (because they were 'Limited Edition' & priceless ) ...............'Trust Me They Are Worthless ' 'I Believe They Suck' ... 'The Truth is....There On DVD Now'.... 'I Want To Be Cleverer'................all come to mind. Other useless info... ..............in 2001 I watched every episode of the X Files over a period of 11 weeks ..............I have seen every episode of the X Files at least 4 times ............I have Laserdiscs from many episodes of the X Files yet I have never owned a Laser Disc Player .............I have every series of the X Files on DVD & VHS sealed MIB !!!! jcastick
This isn't a huge haul for me.....but rather surprising. My friend and I made a trip to Toys R Us today just to kill some time and see what we could find. The only thing I look at anymore is the Marvel section, the Mates section and the one with all the Halo, Street Fighter and such lines. Anyway, I'm checking out the mates and per usual same old stuff, BSG....Terminator....Wolverine Movie mates..........sigh... But, as I'm about to leave, I notice one 2 pack that ISN'T Wolverine, so I look back and I get the biggest shock. Amongst all the Wolverine mates is the Elusive Moonstone/Bullseye 2 pack!!!!!! Snapped it up, made sure I wasn't seeing things and was in shear Awe!! My buddy said that since he hadn't had a chance to get me anything for Christmas that he'd get it for me....but I can't have it until Christmas Eve...lol So a surprisingly good visit to TRU! NorthRaider
Not that many Minimate hauls over Christmas (I did manage to get the second Ghostbusters boxset and Infinity Gauntlet though), but music-wise it had been an expensive couple of weeks for me: Abbey Road, The Beatles Doolittle, The Pixies (FINALLY!) Urban Hymns, The Verve Performance and Cocktails / Just Enough Education to Perform, Stereophonics Loveless, My Bloody Valentine Buena Vista Social Club Rum Sodomy and the Lash, The Pogues Midnite Vultures, Beck I also got myself Hyperion by Dan Simmons, and am planning to get a cheap copy of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency online. I've officially rejoined the civilized world!
