hellpop
More DC photos from the booth. Next wave of those Mattel 4" figures no one seems to want: http://news.toyark.com/2014/02/16/toy-fair-2014-mattel-dc-comics-117039
fwoosheyman
I look forward to buying Mr. Mxyzptlk off ebay for about half the price. Instead of $30 plus $10 shipping/handling (which takes about 2 weeks to arrive) from Matty. I despise that Mattel has the DC license. funkguerilla
Why would anyone want a Green Lantern as The Riddler? Why wouldn't they just call that 'The Riddler'. Mattel makes no sense to me.
force2099
Its a nod to the original one, which was a repaint of the Green Lantern.
hellpop
Which wasn't even a part of the Super Powers line, but the DC Superheroes line that came after (from Toy Biz, I think). I get it, but I agree with funkguerilla... who wants that? Who would pay $30 for that?
Valo487
Hahahaha, that's rich. Mattel is "sending off" DCUC with a box full of bootlegs. That's like getting home from a disappointing vacation to find out your dog died. Edited February 16, 2014 by Valo487
MiniFiend UK
I'm not a MOTU fan but those mini's are nice.
TM2 Dinobot
I wouldn't mind that Wonder Woman but OMG THOSE SHE-RA TOYS LOOK GREAT!
Shogi
TMNT is starting to get pics out. They're making Mikey in the Tur-Fly-Tle outfit....I may have to break my rule of variant turtles
Twisted Two-Face
Love the Light Blue Superman, he's a must. Gold Superman too, just because that's the most adorkable thing i've ever seen. And the headsculpt looks much better in plastic than painted. The dorky Super Powers packaging is a nice tribute, i must say. Etheria Sub looks incredible; Light-Hope is a work of art. That's classic, 100% Four Horseman unleashed goodness. Just a great fantasy figure. Rio-blast is great too; this year's Fisto? LMFAO at "Green Lantern as Riddler" though, and i never use that abbreviation. They always manage to fuck it up somehow, and that's exactly how. I get the reference but who in the right mind ever wanted that? That's exactly how you kill a line, not that it matter now anyway i guess. Valo487
I hope that whatever Mattel decides to do with the DC license going forward, they manage to put some ice water on the massive erection they have for DC Super Powers. I mean, it just got so out of hand and the fact that they think this is a swansong is patently absurd. I honestly cannot believe that after all this time, they think that there are fans who are going to be happy that this is the way it ends. Let it go. Shogi
Walking Dead Carl minimate pic up on DST's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/diamondselecttoys/photos/a.170694629641469.38259.170392609671671/715197241857869/?type=1&theater Edited February 16, 2014 by Shogi

karamazov80
Being extremely nostalgic for the Super Powers myself, I love these minor variants with the SP packaging. Riddler is a nod to an Argentinian release. Gold Superman was a planned release that never happened, I believe.
hellpop
I have no problem with the SP themed goodbye... I just don't know who's going to buy it. $30 for repaints? One new character, with three points of articulation? I dunno, man. These are going to be a tough sell, I think. I certainly don't fall into the "everything Mattel does is a personal affront!" camp, but Mxy at that price doesn't make me very happy. fwoosheyman
DST is the Rodney Dangerfield of Toy Fair. No respect from anyone. Can't any site be bothered to stop by and take some pics? I'm seeing pictures from companies that I've never even heard of.
Mnemosis
MY experience from 2010 was that DST didn't allow any photos to be taken until, I want to say, Monday morning? I don't recall if there was reasoning as to why...
Zexion_Armando
Why though? Pictures are pictures, it seems way better to just show it off. if it wasn't ready, why show it off? If it's ready, why hide it for some arbitrary time? I know some things are because license and such are pending, but Marvel?

battlecat
I think Zach said the reasoning was not to scoop the press guys who had Monday appointments to cover the booth? Could be wrong.
Mnemosis
now stop that, you're going to give someone a heart attack! I think, the why, had something to do with licensing at the time. Or something. I don't know, apparently
The Vox
All jokes aside.. looks like there are new TMNT minifigs.. look like the size of the Imaginext/Heroes lines.
