Dreadnok Rocksteady Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Thor and Hawkeye minifigures being given away free with the Sun newspaper in Britain, this weekend only! Quote
UK Collector Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Managed to get both sets. There was literally a line for Hawkeye this morning. As per my note in the LOTR thread, I got extras. If people are after them, let me know and we'll sort something out, but would appreciate a donation to my charity. Quote
dj87 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Got myself 2 of each as well... Hawkeye's little display is pretty cool Quote

I think I'm probably going to be paying someone $15 for a Nova figure! Well, maybe, I do like the building too. Maybe someone will be paying me for the other figures! Quote
Molybdenum Man Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Can you post pictures of the give away figures? Quote
hellpop Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Are we talking movie Hawkeye or comics Hawkeye. 'Cause I'd be very interested in comics Hawkeye. Quote
dj87 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 movie... I'm sure they're exactly the same as the figures from the regular releases. That said, I'll sort a picture if I get a minute tomorrow. Quote
UK Collector Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Saw this earlier. The other day I was considering selling my Xbox 360....but I will be keeping it now! Quote
ApexPredator Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 You mean i get to play as... lego... DEADPOOL!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
TENIME_art Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 *sigh* I caved & got all the Avengers sets over the weekend. I haven't opened the SHIELD SUV yet, and am halfway through the Quinjet (which I got on clearance at Walmart). Minimates still blow the figures out of the water (though I really like Lego Hulk), but I'm really loving the sets. Except for Cap's bike, it's all movie-faithful, which matters to me. I'm not a big fan of pointless things like that. I kinda wish we got some SHIELD agents with a few of the sets (I've got 3 Lokis, 2 IMs, 2 Thors, & 2 Hawkeyes, but no Nick Fury or Maria Hill or Coulson - no Bruce Banner, even). I'm hoping Target or WM start getting the IM3 sets soon. I want Tony's house, but TRU is a little steep for me. Quote
Zylek Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I got my Malibu Attacks set from amazon, so it was free shipping and no sales tax. I'm also not a big fan of the extra non-movie junk, like the little vehicle that comes in the Mandarin Showdown set. There is a Lego Nick Fury in the Ultimate Spiderman set that came out this year, it's close enough as far as I'm concerned to pass for a movie Fury since the design is obviously based on Sam Jackson. Since you got all the Avengers set, you'll have a mark VI and mark VII to put in the Armory of the Tony House set. Quote
MisterPL Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Can't tell you how disappointed I was that this scene wasn't in the movie. Quote
TENIME_art Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'm going to be combining 2 (maybe 3) Malibu Mansions to be Minimate-scale, and if I'm really feeling brave, I may combine it with my existing C3 Batcave/Iron Man Hall of Armor.... Quote
Twisted Two-Face Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Anyone have the Malibu set? Mind taking a few shots with any Minimates? It's a pricey set and i'll likely buy it anyway, but i too am considering modding it with a downstairs and it'd be nice to know if i have to mod the upstairs at all too beforehand. LEGO needs to stop being so freaking expensive; i hate that they started to charge by the brick. That LOTR is incredible, but no way in hell could i ever justify that purchase. These Iron Man, Man of Steel, and Lone Ranger sets are great, but those price tags just kill my enthusiasm. Don't even get me started on this Mr. Gold nonsense. Quote
TENIME_art Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Yes, I have it, and can when I get home. Minimates will NOT fit without modding. I can tell you that much right now. Quote
Twisted Two-Face Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Thanks, Ten! Hmm. It's close. I was going to move the armory to the lower level anyway so it's likely still workable. I can't believe how overall tiny that set is though, jeez. Quote
TENIME_art Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Yeah, it's small, that's why I'm combining 3 of them (I won my second auction of just the mansion pieces since I posted last). Quote
