  1. Dang it. My apologies to Undeadpool & my Birthday Elephant. Excuse me while I go dig through the forum and try to remember whose artwork is that...
  2. The Birthday Elephant visited me as well this week, with a well-decorated package: I got a bunch of Minimates, some cool Franken-Mates, a great set of paint brushes and a Kuma / Rolento set, which is great because that wave still hasn't shown up around here! Plus I got a very cool sketch card of Minimate Professor X. Many thanks, Undeadpool!
  3. I can understand trying to milk the license by producing movie-specific box sets, but It was the Monsters that sold the line, not the supporting characters. A greater emphasis on the Monsters, either in monster-only box sets or with monkeycrumb's suggestion of accessories, I bet would have sold just as well or better. And not worrying about the Renfields or Dr. Reeds would free you to make monster variants (Son of Frankenstein, Glow-In-The-Dark Frankenstein, etc.) as TRU exclusives.
  4. I agree with you - the Koach is an underrated classic. And after seeing how well Herman turned out, I wouldn't mind getting the rest of the family in Minimate form.
  5. Wonderful looking packaging. And the MInimates aren't bad, either.
  6. 5 of the 14 designs? You've been busy, Luke. These are looking great and I look forward to seeing the rest. Jeff
  7. What about the Cena movie figures, immortalizing his roles in The Marine, 12 Rounds and The Reunion?
  8. Great looking Malice. And I look forward to your Crystal and Medusa customs.
  9. You'll get no flak from me. I wish you only the best and hope things work out for you and your wife.
  10. I love the idea of Joe block figures. But I just don't like the look of the Kreon figures. I'm torn over the Joe Kreons like extra-small underwear on a fat guy.
  11. Naw, that would probably be Rey Mysterio. You can only make so many figures wearing jean shorts after all. That said, I think WWE Minimates could do pretty well. Dunno if you could get permission to make mini-figures with Mattel holding the figure license and producing their own blocky figures ( WWE Rumblers).
  12. Yea Rocket Raccoon! Those Lizard legs work well for a variety of characters. I wonder if you could make a Fin Fang Foom with them?...
  13. Toy News International posted their DST Toy Fair gallery. No pics of Aliens, but they did say this: The Aliens will not only get the Minimate figure treatment, but they will also get the Minimates vehicle treatment as well. We got to see some of these but were not able to take photo's of them. The Aliens themselves looked very cool and we will also be getting a Ripley figure. I am also told the chances of getting a Queen Alien and Ripley with Power Loader are very good. We will also see larger scale Alien vehicles with electronic lights and sounds from DST, similar to what they have done for Back to the Future and Knight Rider.
  14. I remain optomistic that someday we'll get a "Bring On The Bad Guys" all-villains wave.
  15. If you squint you can make out the Minimates in the Star Trek display: http://fb.me/1TaRyerNf
  16. Well take a look at this announcement: http://aol.it/12hzmAU
  17. Even the tease of getting a Batroc Marvel Legends figure is enough to make me consider buying Marvel Legends again.
  18. Batros & Icer are from the 80's He-Man cartoon. Rumor has it they're going to try and release a bunch of cartoon-only characters this year for the original cartoon's 30th anniversary.
  19. Well, Toy Fair doesn't really start until Sunday. I'm sure they'll be more news starting then.
  20. Mandar-riffic! And Cowboy Tony may look odd, but it'll make sense when they reveal the Iron Man Rodeo Clown armor.
  21. Thanks to a little searching on Mattel's web site, new He-Man figures to be announced at Toy Fair have leaked, along with Castle Grayskull pics: http://thefwoosh.com/2013/02/motuc-mantenna
