Phew! Got mine completed last night. He's drying from a clear coat session. Will snap my pics soon and post. I came up with one hell of a backstory for this one. Can't wait to share.

Mine is already on his way to Luke. I'll post pics whenever I'll find the time to write the backstory.

I still am struggling with mine, but I have the backstory ready. Of course, it's only seven words long.

Seven words is pretty much. I can do fewer: AND THEN THERE WAS OINGYFLOINGYMAN! (Which is not my characters backstory. Unfortunatelly.)

Hooray! My first fighter is done! I present to you Sasu, the masked assassin:

ssu_one.jpgssu_three.jpg

An unappreciated Japanese stage actor, the man known as Sasu one day gave in to his psychotic tendencies and stabbed his director during a heated argument. Embracing the rush that the killing gave him, the actor dropped out of the public eye and began training. Years later, Sasu appeared, working as an assassin for hire. Known for his ability to seemingly appear and disappear at will, Sasu prefers to kill his victims up-close with his flashing blades. His reasons for joining the tournament are unknown - does he truly want to compete against the world's toughest fighters, or is here pursuing a new target?

The recipe for Sasu is now up at my custom site right over here.

Kodiak

th_kodiak01.jpgth_kodiak02.jpgth_kodiak07.jpgth_kodiak03.jpg

th_kodiak05.jpgth_kodiak04.jpgth_kodiak06.jpg

He is know by many names by the Native American people of North America; Mato, Kuuruks, Wasahpe, Kiaiu and Misabe Mukwa. But he is best known as Kodiak to those in the world of fighting. He is considered an enigma as no one knows where he came from or what his purpose in life is. All that is known is that he mysteriously appears whenever a fighting tournament of great significance takes place. Kodiak is of native decent, but it is unclear as to which tribe he belongs to. He has been spotted as far north as Nunavut and as far south as Central America. Many believe him to be the recipient of a great curse.

Ask any elder of any native nation and they will tell you a similar story, the legend of the warrior and Uzumati. Once, hundreds of years ago, a young man from a long forgotten tribe, had risen among the native nations as the greatest warrior alive. He had defeated all those he challenged in hand to hand combat. After there were no more opponents for him to beat he sought to fight the great bear god Uzumati. Uzumati had no wish to fight with a mortal and turned down the warrior challenge. Feeling slighted by the bear god's rejection, the young warrior slew one thousand bears in an attempt to gain Uzumati's attention. Unfortunately for the warrior, it did. The bear god was so enraged by the young man's heedless and brutal action against his children; he descended upon the Earth and began to lay waste to the warrior's people. The warrior attempted to stop Uzumati, but to no avail. He was gravely wounded in battle and even lost an arm. When the warrior awoke, his people were nowhere to be seen. One hundred thousand men, women and children gone. It was as if they had been wiped from existence. Uzumati appeared before the young warrior one last time with a message.

He informed the wounded man that he must atone for the crimes he committed against his children. For one thousand years (one year for each bear slain) the warrior would roam the Earth during which time he would have to fight all those who would challenge him to combat. His curse would forbid him from challenging anyone himself. Each fight he won would set the soul of one of his people free. Any fight he lost would condemn that soul to an eternity in purgatory. Uzumati bestowed upon the warrior a mystical bear paw to replace his lost limb. It would serve as his source of power as well as a reminder of his penance. Many believe that Kodiak is that young warrior, who to this day still seeks to free the souls of his people.

Kodiak displays superhuman strength, stamina and durability. He is a formidable fighter well disciplined in several native hand to hand combat techniques. He can use his claw to tear open the fabric of space through which he can teleport. Some surmise this is how he is able to travel great distances in seemingly short spans of time. Kodiak has been seen using this ability during combat, but over use of this power greatly weakens him.

Another side effect of Kodiak's powers is a "bloodlust". Should any of his opponents bleed profusely during battle, Kodiak will enter an unstoppable bezerker rage during which time he has no self control and will attack his opponent unmercifully. An opponent's only salvation is to stop their bleeding or simply die.

My last fighter

Prometheus/Yurei :The Lost Spectre

dscf1416c.jpg

Forged in the bottom of the Underworld from the Souls of a Thousand fighters from previous Tournaments,Yurei was created for one purpose only, pure evil. All souls were cast into one body, but Ka'Ge,the creator of Yurei, looked past his one and only flaw, the wrong soul took over.Instead, the Tournaments heroic first champion,a fighter named Prometheus, proved to be the strongest soul and took over Yurei.Fleeing Ka'Ge and the depts of the underworld, and now calling himself Prometheus,he joins the Tournament of Fighters for one purpose,to dispose of the rest of the evil souls in his body...before they dispose of him...

trivia:

All souls are stored in the gem on his chest

Yurei in japanese means Spectre

This character is mainly based on Ermac from Mortal Kombat

His name is Prometheus,But it was Yurei.

I love that Kodiak guy, Mini-Myte! Both, the amazing sculpting and details on the actual custom, as well as the great backstory are just fantastic! I really like that myth you told and your idea of keeping everything a little vague. Well done! And the little details on the figure like the claw marks and that amazing bear-head-hood-thing: Great idea and very well executed!

Boyd, that Sasu guy's cool, too! That mask is freaking awesome. Really like it. Same for the skirt.

I want to see these two guys beat the living pixel-s*it out of each other in a potential video-game!

BrobotC, your productivity amazes me. While others - me included - are able to come up with one guy, you give us a complete handfull! Well done, man! Anyway, I still like Cane most. Don't really know why, but I like his look. Great facial expression!

Y'know, each one of BrobotC's customs are great, but when you put them together in a group like that, it's really impressive. Each has a consistent quality to them that makes them mesh together so well - I really get the feeling they should be from a video game. Nice work.

Wow! I've been away for far too long.

...Which is because my Internet hasn't been working properly (or at all at the moment, so I'm my Uncle's using his computer.

Anyway, awesome customs guys! These are some really cooling looking minimates! :D

I'm still working of the "Select Screen" which I have 10 out of 24 slots filled not counting Kodiak and Prometheus which I will add soon).

Also I was wondering, do I PM Luke for the address to send the ChairtyMate I made, right? It's my first time so I wanna make sure I do it right.

Can't wait to see them all together.

Btw Looks like my little fighter won't be the only one bringing a weapon to the fight. ;)

Yes, that is correct. I was hoping to start the listings on June 1st as I said in the earlier press release, so international members should start shipping their customs as soon as possible.

I will be taking a group shot of everyone, and battle shots as well.
