IMO both figures are different enough. The oringinal spidey is much more cleaner and simple. Like the costume should be. I was not going to say anything, but frankly, I agree with Webhead. They are based on the same character, but very different in design. One would never pass for the other. Really I was just giving yall a hard time. Not to continue minimates in this thread but the eyes are way different too. If they had put the back in black figure's eyes on the wave 2 variant that would have been perfect. Though Sideshow choosing this "modernized" interpretation was a bit disappointing to me, I still put this off this purchase far too long, and of course, right after I ordered CSC had a free shipping deal. But anyway, cool looking figure. I think he is more like the original version with the shirt tucked in, so that's how I'll display him.
