Mystery Man Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 The hair on that Mar-Vell is driving me nuts. I know it, but I can't place it. Also, your Mordo looks alot like mine. Did you do any painting for the chest/arms/legs? I never could get any existing parts to match up that well. Quote
battlecat Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 The hair on that Mar-Vell is driving me nuts. I know it, but I can't place it. Ant-Man. I use it for my Doug Ramsey. I am very jealous of that Fantomex... Quote
PattieCake Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 The majority of the mods you see are from board members. The camera makes the purples on Hawkeye look off but it's not that bad in person. Mordo is Norman Osborn from the Thunderbolts set with a BSG cape. The blue Hydroman base is casted using a Cannonball base. The white Fantomex & Anti-Venom decals are courtesy of jboogie! Luke made the Pixie, Elixir, Mercury, Death-Stalker & Bob of Hydra decals! Quote
Nessex Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Wow - a REALLY nice collection. I particularly like your White Queen, Forge, Fantomex & Azazel customs! well done. Quote
Punisher Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Did you cast the base yourself? I'd love to get one of those. Quote
Mystery Man Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I'd love one of those casted blue bases too! It's great lookin'! Posted, then deleted it thinking I'd found a solution, but hadn't. Does anybody have feet the same color green as 1st Appearance Doom's shade of green? Kree, Vault, Hulks... nobody matches. Quote
BannersID Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I've since modified that Mordo recipe with first appearance Doom's collar. Spices Mordo up a little bit more than the BSG cloak I had on him before. I just love the QC sharing that goes on around here, FUN, FUN, FUN! Quote

That what I was planning on doing too, along with the rest of his body minus the metal bits. I'm still trying to find that solid green color for feet so I can have him in his foot-pj's look that he's usually depicted in. Quote
PattieCake Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Ibentmyman-thing on theFwoosh casts parts for 4 usd a piece. Here's a picture with a few army builders I changed. Not entirely sold on all of them... The 5 thugs in the middle are Kingpin's crew. Silvermane has his maggia and Jigsaw got a bunch of rag-tag specialists to take on ol' Frank. Quote

I searched for quite a bit for the same PJ's look on the feet, eventually I had to tell myself it is ok as is. Early issues for the most show pj's, more current app's show both Mordo and Doc wearing slacks and shoes, so I guess if you do find green feet to match lmk. lol Quote
PattieCake Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Looking good, where are the effects from? Any comments on my widdle thugs and soliders? There's always room for improvement. Quote

I've heard there's a guy on here who runs a small store almost exclusively catering to minimates, and he has just started getting into making his own bases. With any luck, he'll happen by this thread and see the interest in a watery base for Hydro-Man, and put it on his list of things to do, somewhere between taking over MMMV and breakfast. Just a thought. Okay, more like a lead hint than anything else. 'Cause I'd love one too. Quote
BannersID Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Looking good, where are the effects from? Any comments on my widdle thugs and soliders? There's always room for improvement. The energy blast effects are the tops of the punch effects from the street fighter stuff, they pop off no sweat and then just drill a hole where the peg held it in place and your done. a marvel fig came with the same attachments Hydro-Man I think. I don't remember how I came about pulling those tops off but I do recall as soon as it happened I knew what I was going to do with it. The thugs and army buliders are all great, Silvermane looks real good from what I can see, also great use of the figure factory crates for a display, real nice re-use. If you only have the one A.I.M agent it seems mandatory you set him up with a proton pack, it was a pretty easy craft project or Janine comes with one ready to go from the real GB stuff. Quote
lemonfreshviper22 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Bought MvC3 Spidey and Chris Redfield yesterday, making small discovery for those who opt out of headcaps: MvC3 Spidey's head is pretty close to being the same shade of red as Spider-Girl. Not sure if this had been discovered or not. Anyone have a good suggestion for a Ben Reilly 'unmasked' head/hair combo? Ben had a dyejob that sometimes extended to his eyebrows according to the artist at that particular time so I'm wondering if I should just use a normal Spidey head or try to find a similar head with blonde eyebrows. I'm thinking Ultimates WW2 Cap/XM:FC box Angel for hair (with other possible choices being 'Reborn' and TRU Cap from BD Wolverine pack) Quote
dj87 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I think the new Flash Thompson Venom head would make for a pretty spiffy Ben Reilly. Quote
