Bob Harris
I just came back from sports, it's 9:30 in the evening around here and: Whoohoooo, I won! Thanks a lot to everyone who is involved in the contest! And sorry folks - especially Dinobot -, that because I wasn't at home, I couldn't respond to you earlier, asking me to put up my line - since, Oh mein Gott!, I nailed the whole wave 25 line-up This whole contest was just awesome! Congrats to all the other winners! AND: we'll get a Deadpool! Yay! And Rulk and Skaar, I guess I'm really gonna love those waves! Edit: Oh, and is Halsqueek - the other "official best-guesser of the year" - one of us, or did the only kraut on the mmmv keeps the flag flying, if you will pardon my saying so? (I do hope that's the right colloquialism, BHM?!?) Edit²: Oh, and can anyone tell me which minority Gambit and Psylocke belong to? TM2 Dinobot
Iron man? Really? Aside from going "bleh" over him, I have a question about him, and some of the other clues. Pack 1: Wolverine & Deadpool Pack 2: Gambit & Psylocke Pack 3: Sabretooth & Skrull Pack 4: Variant First Appearance Sabretooth & Skrull Clue 1: 4 Heroes 1 Villain 1 Mercenary Clue #2 Pack 1: Healing factors aren't all these two have in common Pack 2: Both are mutants and members of another minority group Pack 3: Silver Age hero and ridiculously costumed army builder Clue 3: Variant: Early version of 2008 movie-appearing character Clue 4: Three star in their own comic series Four are new characters making their Minimates debut Three are new costumed versions of previously released characters Sabertooth is a Villain. Skrull is a villain. That make's 2 villains. That negates clue 1, as well as 2.3. Sabertooth was not in any movie in 2008, unless you mean that the wolverine movie was supposed to be out in 2008, which, to the best of my knowledge, it wasn't. So clue 3 was also false. 4.1 was correct. (Wolvy, deadpool, SI) 4.2 was incorrect (there are only 3) 4.3 is correct. On a related note Clue 1: Pack 1= Deadpool (merc) Wolverine (hero) Pack 2= Storm (hero) Psylocke (hero) both minorities women, and black and asian respectively Pack 3= AIM Soldier (villain) Captain Marvel (silver age hero) Nice, but pack 2 is wrong. It's Gambit and Rogue, both being southerners makes them a minority. Right Shane? XD I was right. Gambit being a cajun makes him a minority. XD Pack 1: Captain America & Red Skull Pack 2: Red Hulk & Ska’ar Pack 3: Classic Iron Man & AIM Agent Pack 4: Variant “Bolt-Face” Iron Man & AIM Agent Clue 1: 1 Hero 4 Villains 1 new character yet to pick a side Clue 2: Pack 1: One of the best Hero-Arch Enemy relationships in comics Pack 2: Both Gamma powered, yet they've never met Pack 3: Both tried to kill Wolverine, one is an army builder Clue 3: Variant: Costume variant from the summer of 1977... Clue 4: Facts: Three star in their own comic series Four are new characters making their Minimates debut One is a new costume, but not a new character One is a new 616 character with a previously released Ultimate universe Minimate Red Hulk and Skarr are both undecided characters. Cap and Ironman are both heros. Red Skull, AIM agent only make 2 villains. That blows clue 1 well and above out of the water. It's a long hard drive to left field. It's going... going.. it's gone! When did Ironman try and kill Wolvy? (I'm sure he did, I just want to know) for that matter, what about AIM? When did Ironman wear that costume in '77? (and what's up with that variant. It's freaking weak on top of looking identical to the regular one) 4.3 is wrong. Cap and Ironman both fall there, as might Rulk on a stretch. However 4.4 is an out and out lie. So in short, I'm not complaining about the waves {well, maybe Ironman [and Sabertooth just to tick off MoC]) I really like them and all. I just need to see how yall made the pegs fit in the holes, just to prove this isn't some sleight of hand trick.

If you look on the blog reveal it says how the clues were actually splitting the waves up so as to make the reveal even more of a surprise. karamazov80
It pains me to say so, but TM2 has some valid points. . .I hadn't even thought to go back and compare the clues with the answers, but the whole 4 villains/1 hero and vice/versa would seem to make it just about impossible for someone to have guessed those waves right, IMO. --edit: I didn't read the entire blog Jeff is referring to; I guess that accounts for it-- Edited October 31, 2008 by karamazov80
Bob Harris
The answer to most of your points lies in this thought announced in the AA blog: Astute observers may notice that these lineups do not match the clues as revealed earlier this week - and that is true. Each site was given half of each lineup to make sure EVERYONE would be surprised by the results - including the participants! Don’t worry if you sent in your guesses though, prizes and points will be awarded based on the lineups given to each site, not this list. So for the clues, The third pack of each wave belonged to the other wave; Sabertooth - Skrull to the 25, Ironman - Aim Agent to wave 26. Edit: Ah, I'm too late as well. But there are still some points not clear. I guess, Red Hulk is counted as a villain, Skaar as an undecided character. That was my guess as well. But I still don't really get the clue 2 on wave 26. Can anyone tell me which minority Gambit and Psylocke belong to? Or is it that each belongs to a seperate minority, e.g. Gambit is cajun, Psylocke from England? buttheadsmate
I would imagine that DST Matt is some relation to Alicia Masters's step-father. Sister perhaps
Shup Dude
Honestly, I don't care much for series 24, with Spiderman characters (sorry to offend anyone, but I just don't like Spiderman much) but I can't wait for series 24 with Spymaster and Cloak to come out. Anyone know when the series with Wolverine, Deadpool, Gambit, Psylocke, Sabretooth, and Skrull's supposed to come out?
