Lobsterman
I may actually have a reason to get ASM #1 now ( was going to drop it after Superior ended) I'm the flip side of that I will buy ASM because Superior and SPock have finished and Parkers back. I can see ASM being good just dealing from the fall out of SPock. (Now Superior has finished I may buy is it trades when they are put together.) I refused to buy Spidey while Ock was in control and the only Spider stuff I read was Scarlet. Then you honestly missed one of the most entertaining runs in recent memory. Superior was a really interesting evolution for both Ottos character and the idea of Spider man in general. I'll be disappointed if things just go back to status quo, but I have a lot of faith in Slotts writing and plans for turning the character upside down again, even if it is to go back to the same old Peter. minijeff
We have it up for preorder here: Amazing Spider-Man #1 Minimate Variant Cover And I am attaching the larger artwork file below. Awesome! Nice to see that it was Barry who did the art for this too! Jeff of the Miniacs
Zexion_Armando
Yeah, thanks so much Luke. Put an order down through you. Also, I had a dollar credit and didn't know
battlecat
Cheers Luke, currently shaking my head at eBay where preorders range from $20 to $125, although someone did apparently shell out $75 yesterday for one of the first listings Happy to see this one, but variant covers really are scam city. Zexion_Armando
Cheers Luke, currently shaking my head at eBay where preorders range from $20 to $125, although someone did apparently shell out $75 yesterday for one of the first listings Happy to see this one, but variant covers really are scam city. Anything more than 4 dollars more is highway robbery to me. The old Lego covers from earlier last year were perfect, Cheap, unique, but still crazy awesome. I wanna see more variants like this though... Come on, X-men #1 spread! Edited March 18, 2014 by Zexion_Armando

DSTZach
Landing a variant cover is one thing. Landing a double-gatefold variant cover is another.
youbastards
Zach, if these were to continue, have you guys given any thought about using actual Minimates on the covers instead of drawings, or was that decided by Marvel? It might be a better way to promote the brand to see the actual toys used on the cover.
karamazov80
Or, you could have Minimate fans dress as Minimate comic characters on the covers!

DSTZach
I don't know that we pitched using actual figures, but no reason we can't in the future. If it does well, we may try and do it again next year. Not that I've seen Marvel do a photo cover in a while. IDW's toy covers were kinda cool. And I think I got one or two entries for the Minimates costume contest a few years back. I'd love to see more. Those boxy guys everyone says are Minimates don't count.
