  1. I also fear for how this will affect the comic line. I just hope DST decides to make comic versions of some of these new movie stars like the inhumans before the embargo around the time the movies come out prevent it and we only end up getting movie 'mates of them. On a positive note, some of the movies sound pretty cool!
  2. Introducing Black Panther, Inhumans, and Doc Strange all before Infinity War makes me wonder if the Illuminati are going to play into all this. The only two missing are mr fantastic and Namor. Namor is kind of a pointless member of the group, so no loss there. Reed is the resident super genius, so i'm not sure who is established as that in the marvel cinematic universe. Maybe Bruce Banner fills that slot, or Hank Pym?
  3. I'm really psyched for Black Panther and Inhumans, both are properties I always thought had potential to be huge. I'm looking forward to the Captain Marvel movie, because I have never been a fan of hers, I find her to be pretty boring. But if I know how Marvel works, I'll be a fan by the time I see the movie and they show me why she is awesome.
  4. Marvel just announced Captain America: The Serpent Society (May 2016)and Dr. Strange (November 2016)! GOTG 2 is now May 2017! Thor: Ragnarok (July 2017) with both Hiddleston and Hemsworth returning. November 2017: Black Panther! 2018: Captain Marvel! - Carol Danvers per Feige November 2018: The Inhumans Avengers3 is titled "Infinity War"!
  5. All-New Top 10! 1)Pimp Suit Moon Knight 2)Spider-Man 2099 3)Blackheart 4)Machine Man 5)Modern Mockingbird 6)Modern Maximus + Inhumans 7)Kaine Scarlet Spider 8)Black Knight (Dane) 9)GotG 2008 10)High Evolutionary Plus (I'm probably alone in this but oh well):
  6. I'm glad with the wave 60 Banshee but I still want GSXM version. Here's my updated wish list: X-Men Weapon X (redo with helmet) Banshee (Giant Size version) Sunfire (Giant Size version) Morph (90's cartoon) Forge Blob Pyro Avalanche Toad Mastermind Silver Samurai Hulk Abomination (bulked up) Planet Hulk / World War Hulk (bulked up) Caieira Hiroim Lavin Skee Miek (small) Miek (bulked up) Red King Spider-Man The Amazing Bag-Man Flash Tompson Joe Robertson Mary Jane (redo) Gwen Stacy (redo) Spider-Man 2099 (redo) Spider-Man Mangaverse Madame Web Kaine Hammerhead Avengers Black Knight Asgardians Enchantress Fandral Hogun Volstagg (comic version) Surtur General Marvel Blackheart The Watcher Runaways Next Wave Inhumans Stan Lee (a civillian one and maybe a 4/5-pack like Deadpools Assemble! box) Relaunch Gambit (90's) Storm (90's) Juggernaut (bulked up) Thanos
  7. But in this universe, so far, you don't have lots of folks with super powers. They don't have mutants. Maybe some of the super powered aliens we see in GOTG start showing up on earth, like Alien Nation? Or maybe the Inhumans thing starts creating a large class of super powered people?
  8. Well this changes my Avengers 3 theory... Apparently rumor has it Avengers 3 will be Stark with a new group of Avengers. Leading up to a triumphant return of the original group for Avengers 4: Infinity Gauntlet. So perhaps Avengers 3 is something like... World War Hulk? We have the Hulk go offworld sometime after Age of Ultron, have Civil War in Cap 3, and then have Avengers 3 with a team of Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Ant Man (replacing Mr. Fantastic), Black Bolt (if the Inhumans are established), and maybe Black Panther (replacing Namor) all doing World War Hulk.
  9. You know, the last 2 years a crap ton of characters got crossed off of people's lists. Both Zemos, both Winter Soldiers, Banshee (he's not GSXM but he's still Banshee), Forge, a new Carnage and Ock, Avalanche, Pyro, Destiny, Blob, Falcon, etc... Personally, my top ten changed a LOT since last time: 1)ANMN Moon Knight (Pimp, Hero and Bone Armour are all welcome) 2)The High Evolutionary 3)Stryfe 4)Hobgoblin 5)Amora the Enchantress 6)Spider-Man 2099 7)Legacy Rogue (one of the best costumes ever, period) 8)Black Knight (classic or modern Dane) 9)Captain Marvel (Carol) 10)Siryn (I wish they'd have continued the DP/Siryn romance but no, they had to turn DP into a fart clown.... thank goodness for Duggan and Pohsen) Honorable Mentions: Blackheart, X-Factor (old and new),Phyla-Vell, Hela, the Eternals, the Star-Jammers, the rest of the Sinister Six, Inhumans and Hulk charactes (Abomination, Zzzaxx, Leader, Samson, etc..) I'd have added the modern versions of Strange, Magik and Mockingbird but I've already made customs of them so I wouldn't mind waiting a bit.
  10. The one good thing about this FF/X-ban is that Marvel's pushing other characters to the forefront. I never thought I'd see The Inhumans or Baron Zemo replacing the likes of the X-Men and Doctor Doom but from what I've seen, that's exactly what they're doing. I was wondering if DST might adopt the practice of offering those characters prior to the film's release either in a boxed set or a "Best of" series. Once the movie debuts, then offer newer characters in a standard assortment of 2-packs.
  11. Marvel's definitely pushing those Netflix characters, as well as The Inhumans.
  12. Despite The Inhumans appearing first in the pages of Fantastic Four, I doubt they'd be part of any merchandise boycott since they've also appeared in Thor and had their own ongoing series. Worst case scenario they're shared characters like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Good news for fans of Squirrel Girl, though.
  13. I'm kinda mixed on this. While I feel sorry for those who would have wanted them, I'm pretty happy if it means one less movie wave next year to get in the way of comic releases. I also feel that I have great versions of all the FF themselves and many of their villains/supporting cast, especially after the excellent wave 48 etc. However, there are still a few villains I would have liked, especially the frightful four, and if it did stop us getting the inhumans I would be very disappointed - not that there seems much sign of us getting them anyway though!
  14. X-Men is definitely next. You'll be seeing a lot less of Deadpool as well, I imagine. They stand to make much more money if these properties revert back to Marvel. For now, the relative pittance they receive isn't worth the effort of even mentioning these films on Marvel.com. Spidey is safe because Marvel controls all merchandising for that. Not only do they get a cut of the box office but they get 100% of all merchandise, unlike the Fox deals where they have to share. I'm guessing this is why Marvel's positioning The Inhumans to replace X-Men, if there's any truth to that rumor.
  15. Been reading about this for awhile now. For me it boils down to Disney wanting to get the rights back for movie projects. I think the only character safe from the Disney comic axe will be Spidey. IMO anything else is going to be fair game. FF is being moved away from the marvel core. X-men are being pushed aside for the Inhumans and the good thing about this for me is no Wolverine for awhile. Next in the crosshairs I'm guessing will be Deadpool. If there is any grain of truth to the rumours seems that the Deadpool movie going ahead will fit in with the Fox X-men universe and not the Disney Marvel Universe so as it is that Disney dont promote other projects as so well I would guess Deadpool will be moved down the comic ladder. Namor has already started moving away from FF with the Cabal
  16. selfishly the only way this affects me is if there are no Inhumans. I want my Crystal!
  17. X-men is still "consistently" Marvel's better selling comic property, with Avengers taking a close 2nd and Spider Man in 3rd (only by virtue of having less titles than the other pillars). It doesn't mean much to Marvel anymore, but I mostly keep faith that by doing any sort of rebooting/retooling Inhumans as X-men analogues, it will sever a ton of goodwill with the fans. Marvel's recent push with the Inhumans hasn't gone anywhere for example. Inhumanity flopped hard. Another issue is that Marvel treats the F4 like its a property they are forced to put out with little care or understanding. They tried pushing Fraction, one of their biggest critical writers at the time on it, and it failed immensely (writing was to blame if you ask me). Robinson tries to use lore and continuity well, but it doesn't really keep things interesting like how PAD does with the same type of use. I'd rather they take F4 off the market in terms of comics if Marvel can't actually try with it, rather than watch it shamble its way to shelves.
  18. Nope Inhumans are safely with Marvel Studios. There is no reason they would cut them off.
  19. I'd love the classic Inhumans plus Ahura and Luna. Apart from that, thanks but no thanks. Fire dude and fish lady aren't the most interesting characters or designs and I could do without them. The Royal Family has a lot of alternate looks so I'd prefer to get them multiple times than "new character that will probably be forgotten or shoe-horned into a new young book once his/her book is cancelled".
  20. Lets see how the movie does. As mentioned above, Guardians has renewed interest in characters that were arguably C-listers in the MU for the past decade. Inhumans might do the same? I would really love some classic Inhuman miniamtes (Medusa, Crystal, Karnak & Gorgon would make pretty awesome pairings with F4 characters if we ever see them again).
  21. Based on the numbers I see for sales the new Inhumans stuff is every man's trash. The classic Inhumans that have been around for decades? No problem with them, though I think it's probably tough to find a release plan that works well for them if you want more than one or two. But doing a tie-in to a series that only exists because Marvel wants to replace mutants? Marvel might have money to keep failing at selling the idea but I doubt DST does.
  22. I have been and will always be interested in te Inhumans. One mans trash is another mans treasure.
  23. Can't say I'm surprised, not with the way Disney's been acting toward Fox's Marvel movies in general. Maybe DST, unlike Marvel, realizes that no one is really interested in the Inhumans? At least not interested in them as a brand, I know there is some demand for the royal family. There wasn't much interest in Guardians of the Galaxy a year ago either. Things change.
  24. Maybe DST, unlike Marvel, realizes that no one is really interested in the Inhumans? At least not interested in them as a brand, I know there is some demand for the royal family.
