Do you mean Ash from Alien or Bishop from Aliens? We want to do both, but we'll see. I thought the Bishop that was coming with the Alien Queen was going to be a regular 'mate with the guts parts as extra bonus parts. Is that not the case?

I'll give the reviewer thing a try. I don't collect as much as most but with the big box of stuff I have coming this week I think I could easily write a bunch of reviews at once and release them over time if that works for you guys. As for what I'll do, I think I'll write this try-out piece about the TMNT Mutagen Raphael, since I have it in hand already. I don't have a sealed blind bag for the packaged shot but I can piece one together well enough to show what it looks like. I only pulled off the top strip to open it.

Oh, well that would be easy. Just get a tiny LED and battery pack (I reccomend these guys http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/ ), drill a hole big enough to fit your LED into the accessory, run the wires up Star Lord's sleeve to hide them, tuck the battery pack into his belt under the jacket and BLAMO! easy peasy light up accessory. I did this with an extra Tesseract for my Red Skull. The effect is quite nice.

Age of Ultron movie pack a la Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor box set, with Iron Legion numbers we didn't get in the blind bag case (2, 3, 5, 6, 7) 4 more different Ultron Drones, and Nick Fury (cancelled from the blind bag case)

I have my case of the Series 2 blind bags on the way from BBTS, along with a bunch of other Minimates that have hit in the last couple of weeks. With 2 of Splinter per case I think I can try to paint him up properly and still keep one "minty fresh" as the kids say. And by "properly" I mean in the classic original cartoon/toy colors, brown fur, maroon robe. None of this kabuki mask looking face fur that the current Nick version has.

To light up the orb you'd need it to be cast in a clear plastic or resin, paint it where you don't want the light to come through and insert a small LED inside. Probably more work than you (or I for that matter) are wanting to do but it would give you the best result.

There's also an Iron Legion drone coming. Hot Toys showed it in a teaser on their Facebook page and I think it showed up in some of the pics from this show too.

All Aliens, with 2 exclusive figures/packs I believe. Which I need when they are released. All these TRU exclusives are driving me batty.

Putting it out there right now, I'm going to need a Mutagen Donnie and Anton Zeck (pre-Bebop) if anyone is hunting down the figures that come with them. TRU around me is a real crapshoot with Minimates. Never saw the first TMNT series in stores and missed Mutagen Leo when he was online. If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it and make it worth your while.

Of course I take a couple days off from the board and the TRU Exclusive set comes and goes before I read the news. *le sigh* So I ask humbly, anyone have an extra Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver 2-pack?

So with K-Mart out of the picture for Series 2 we should just have 2 exclusives, correct? Mutagen Donnie at TRU and Chris Bradford at specialty?

Okay maybe this has been covered before so if it has I apologize. I was reading in another thread (the Ant-man movie 'mates I believe) that someone was looking at prts for a Stan Lee Minimate and I thought "wait, Stan Lee doesn't have a Minimate? How could that be?" So I did a quick search at MMDB and sure enough, no Stan Lee listed. So I ask, why haven't we gotten a Stan Lee Minimate? I don't think his likeness rights are included in the Marvel license but others have produced figures of him (Marvel Legends, retro Mego style, minifigure with that Spurlock Comicon movie) It just doesn't seem right that "the face" of Marvel comics hasn't been reproduced in Minimate form. If he was available I'd buy a LOT just to recreate all his Marvel Movie characters. Maybe its time I delve into the "Ask DST" waters and see what Chuck has to say.

Anybody else thinking Jubilee would make a good base for Armor from Astonishing X-Men? Just need some bare arms and long straight hair. And of course her armor projections but I have that covered I think. What I'm saying is I'm looking for a Jubilee from this wave. That's the only one I need.

Personally, I won't be shedding any tears if K-Mart doesn't get another wave. I lucked into finding a complete, unmolested strip after these were first sighted. I have 2 each of the K-Mart exclusives (Mutagen Mikey and Krang) but only because I got one of each that first trip to the store and the second ones from paying way too much on ebay. If K-Mart does get wave 2 then I hope they don't get an exclusive but we know they probably won't take wave 2 without one. I know others have had an easier time finding these at K-Mart than other retailers and I appreciate that, but for me its just not a good option. I also never saw these at TRU, aside from a single regular Leo pack tossed on a shelf in the TMNT section. Never saw pegs for them, never saw where they were stocked, never saw them ON pegs. I shudder to think about trying to track down the Wave 2 exclusives as I have a case preordered online. If I had to rely on brick and mortar stores to get these I'd be paying inflated aftermarket prices to get them from ebay. But I AM looking forward to future waves, albeit with some minor trepidation.

Mark 45 has a "Bleeding Edge Armor" vibe that I like.

I caved. I didn't want to because the price is so high but I know I'll be kicking myself next year when he comes out if I don't get him. Plus Flexpay makes the price a bit easier to swallow.

Finally got around to opening my Alien 35th box set. Not too surprised by what I found inside as it has been covered pretty well here. Kane looks great both with and without the chestburster. I might have to get a second one to customize using the Thor 2 Selvig "tighty-whiteys" hips and legs and a plain white tank top to make "Infirmary Kane". Parker is just a smidge away from being cross-eyed, especially looking at him straight on. But put that flamethrower in his hands with the flame effect and you don't even notice. I can see now what people are saying about Ripley's hair. It doesn't quite have that 70's "big hair" thing going on. More of an 80's afro-sheen look to it. And mine sits really low on her head with the bangs almost covering her eyes. Luckily we're getting a few in the Aliens sub-line so I might find a suitable swap there. Aside from that she's gorgeous. And I LOVE little Jones the cat. Fits really well under her arm so she can carry him to the shuttle while fighting off the Alien with a flamethrower in her other hand. Speaking of the Alien, I wasn't all that wowed by the aliens in the Aliens dump box. Maybe it was just the sheer number of them that took away from really appreciating the design. But opening up Big Chap and seeing that see-through skull with all the detail underneath really blew up my skirt. He's a great looking figure and I can now appreciate the detail that went into the base body. The only thing that keeps him from being perfect is the open attacking mouth. I'd like to see either the tongue-jaws be removable or have a separate no tongue-jaws head. He's cool enough though that I'll be getting another one to take that tongue piece out. Overall I really dig this box set. I think DST went above and beyond with all the little details (like Ripley's sleeve cuffs and Big Chaps clear skull dome). I'm really looking forward to getting the rest of the Alien box sets to complete the crew.

I opened my Iron Man pack last night and he has the red paint rub along the bottom of his face where the bottom of the helmet rubbed I'm guessing. I'm not overly concerned as I got it to display as the armor. I have lots of Tonys. But is there any way to safely remove the erroneous paint from the face?

This show, to me, is building a bit like the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - slowly developing the key characters and their world with a second half of the season build to something bigger and better in the finale. Fish is the one character I've hated since the beginning. I didn't like that they created a new mob boss when there are so many good ones that already exist. But her storyline the last few episodes has turned me around. I still don't care for her but I'm caring about where her story is going. Donal Logue's Harvey Bullock is becoming one of my favorite characters of all time. Sean Pertwee's Alfred is something I've wanted to see on screen for a long time. I'm torn on the time jump idea though. I'd really like to see a 18-19 year old Bruce Wayne out on the streets getting his ass kicked before leaving to train and travel the world. But I'm afraid it would become the Batman show and that's not what it is. Its a version of Gotham Central and I like where its going as is. As for the 'mates, I'll take whatever we get and I'm looking forward to adding them to my collection. Now... when will we see pictures of them?

I don't think a Jim Henson 'mate is possible under this license. Muppets are a Disney property and I'd think Jim Henson's likeness is owned by the Henson Company. Not to say that a Jim Henson minimate could never happen, just not in this line. The only caveat is that I'm not sure who owns the rights to the Jim Henson Muppet character. If Disney owns that character then we could get a Minimate, probably as a convention exclusive or something similar. As long as I get an Animal 'mate I'm good. I think he's too popular not to include in the line. The rest of the band are less likely, unless it was an Electric Mayhem box set.

As the first 2015 birthday that is setting the bar pretty high. I know its not a competition or anything like that at all, but damn if that statue doesn't make me want to create something just as cool for my recipient. I gotta ask though. Are those 'mates on the sculpture original pieces? 3D printed maybe? Because the subtle texture on the parts is something that doesn't look like it was hand sculpted onto a blank body. Its just too subtle and smoothly done in my eye. Very cool and very well done.
