  1. I can't be the only one who wants a little Indy to carry around in their pocket! I would love to get at least just one box set per Indiana Jones movie, and maybe a Nazi army builder 2-pack.
  2. I started late and the first episode I watched was the Captain Cold episode. I'll admit, I thought it was very weak. Then I heard that Reverse Flash was gonna be on it, I watched it and liked it better than the Captain Cold episode. Now the Rouges?! I'm very excited for tonight's episode! I also saw that Pied Piper should be on it! Can't wait!
  3. For a few years now I've been working on a project which involves my own comic universe. This is a project that I've started from scratch many times. It began with a simple series of comedic stories under the name, "Spleen Comics." It soon grew to having a few short series which usually dealt in Apocalyptic scenarios. There was The Squad which handled the new Soviet Union's obsession with using extra-terrestrial forces to destroy, and rule, the Earth. Also there was a series of two friends who fought to survive various disasters like a Zombie apocalypse and a natural apocalypse. That's all in the past now, I've since come up with more ideas that I found too similar to other comic companies that I would receive major criticism. I have one last idea that i think might just ease my excitement. I have created a world that is very down to earth (literally). It is a world that only deals in real world problems such as serial killers, drug usage or cults with maybe a hint of supernatural elements. I have only a handful of characters and want to keep it too a minimum. I want to make a big enough universe to tell enough stories, but not be overwhelmed by a multitude of characters. This is where I need you guy's help. I need some character and story ideas. Maybe a few artists if I decide to become this series with the idea. I also need a name for the company, I have gone through a few ideas, but none of them really worked for me. Spleen Comics is currently out of the question.
  4. I ordered this set off Amazon on Friday because my shop didn't have it and I just couldn't wait! Alien is one of my favorite movies and I'm VERY excited for this. But, I have a question, have there been any problems with the feet like the single pack Xenomorph's have had?
  5. My local comic shop had always carried minimates, but I never thought I would like them as much as I did. After looking at some of the sites (minimate central, minimate database HAIL IVAN), I thought I'd give it a try. I picked up the Angel/Multiple Man pack and was HOOKED!! The next weekend I got the 90's Cyclops/90's Jean Grey and never stopped after that. Snooping around eBay, I got a loose Magneto. A few weeks later, I found out that minimates could be found at Toys R Us and picked up the Wolverine/Sabertooth, I was happy. Those are the first few minimates I got. As you can see, I'm a big X-Men fan.
  6. I think that throwing a bunch of tier 2 characters into a box set without another, well known, character or two to round it out to the larger audience not firms liar with the Alpha Flight. I'm not saying I don't love those sets, Puck and Vindicator are spectacular! I just think that, if DST wanted to direct their figures to a more mainstream audience, they should've added a Wolverine figure or something. Then again both these sets were sold at places where the attendees were supposed to know who the characters were. Sometimes it just breaks my heart when I see someone at Comic Con who doesn't know who a very generic character is...
  7. I'm calling the shots now: Alien box set 2: -Dallas -Space suit Ripley -Closed mouth Big Chap -Ash (with milk covered, blown-up extra head accessory
  8. I'm just gonna say it, I don't think that Ant-Man brings enough to the table in terms of a Minimate wave. There are three main characters and a villain. Sure you could fill the wave with variations of Scott and Hank, but that would just be a waste of marketing and materials in my opinion.
  9. I go every year. Is there a chance that I could get into the lounge with my fellow collectors this year? Hopefully, Zachary will bring that bin filled with minimates again.
  10. For best movie mate, is that directed towards Marvel only or can Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction join in the fun?
  11. My dad was a real big Batman fan as a kid and all throughout his high school and college life. This means that there were many Batman comics and comics featuring the Dark Knight around me as a lad. The one I remember him reading me is the first issue of the series entitled, "Batman:Hush" This featured Batman saving some kid (to this day I have no idea who the kid is) from an attack from Killer Croc. To answer the second question, I remeber my dad taking me to my local comic shop and me picking up a revamp of the Uncanny X-Men from the Claremont era. I enjoyed it because the first two issues were a two parter which was a crossover with a group I had never heard of called, The Inhumans. That was when I was about 9. Since then, the Inhuamns have been one of my favorite groups in comic books.
  12. Not once has I ever met another human being who shares the same interest and love for these creatures. I fully support this idea Pappy. The top 3 monsters I would want are probably: -Kraken (Clash of the Titans) -Ymir ( Twenty Million Miles to Earth) -Cyclops (7th Voyage of Sinbad)
  13. Yesterday I was at my local toys and collectibles store and was able to get both the SDCC turtles for $5!! They were sealed in package both and I really want to bust them open and play with them but I also really enjoy being able to have the figures in the package. I don't see myself getting the pair again, so I'm a little conflicted. I would really love if anyone could give me their thoughts on what road I should take.
  14. Finally got a Xeno today!!! I my shop had one and a half cases but I didn't want to just bite the bullet. I decided to pick up one alien and see where I went from there. Next time I go, I'll pick up another Xeno along with Wierzbowski and Carter Burke.
  15. Happy Festivus to all, may the next few days be filled with minimate fun and excitment!
  16. My box was rather large in scale which gave me some high hopes, and it succeeded in them. The first thing I pulled out was a page that read, "Merry Christmas" with a helpful hint of who my santa was. The gifts were neatly wrapped as well which makes it all the more exciting. The first gift was the Godzilla series 1 set. A pack I've been wanting ever since it was announced. I've been a Godzilla fan since the dawn of time and receiving these minimates really helped ease my anxiety and raise my excitement The final thing was the large box that had me baffled as to what it's wrapping could contain. Then I opened it. The gift inside was certainly surprising. It was a dispay case for my minimates. A while back I had posted a thread about different ways to store my minimates, since I needed a new way. Apparently, my santa remembered that and decided that was a good gift idea (and it was)! With all that said and done, this was a great gift exchange and I hope to do it next year. One more thing, thanks to my pal NinjaMate for all the goodies!
  17. Cable will have an alternate goatee head
  18. I saw on eBay someone had the whole series for $60. I don't know if that area's TRU didn't get the release memo or if he works at a TRU and he got them early
  19. What did BHM post? It's not letting me see it.
  20. I gotta say, this had me laughing for a good while
