  1. I wouldn't mind D.C. Cab minimates, and finally get a proper 2in. Mr. T. Followed of course, by Dr. Detroit boxset
  2. ok, I've avoided commenting in here because I want DC minimates back in the worst way. in fact, every con, toy fair, big announcement that is not DC, my affection for minimates drops. I really like so many of the new waves and licenses, but besides NIghtmare before Christmas, and the Jules/Vincent 2-pack, there hasnt been a must have for me since comic Falcon and winter soldier last year, and before that, I couldn't even tell you. Thundercats were my last big hurrah, and was very sad when that ended (besides maybe 2 more characters, it was a perfect line, and ended at a perfect time) I've still been grabbing a lot of mates because i like minimates and all the interchangeable parts. I still love to customize, but havent been able to lately, butthis hobby is just not as fun for me without DC. I'd love Batman '66 and even Flash and Arrow, but would not like Gotham (unless it leads to comic DC) I hate to be a debbie downer, but I'm preparing myself for another big sigh and personal letdown. my apologies, the party pooper
  3. Love the pics MM! I would always look forward to your pics of fresh new out of the box mates, planning on returning to that?
  4. she was first shown with wrist cuffs with some fringe, as well as something similar on her legs. NOw that it has been brought up, I actually dropped the set for that same reason. It was a big letdown for me personally
  5. Honestly, with how form fitting his armor/costume is, I think the tampo will look better. I'll no doubt get it, as well as all the valiant stuff. looking forward to seeing more characters! I hope this opens doors to companies like Dynamite! who have a ton of possibilities for sweet looking minimates.
  6. you just saved me some money (on shipping and an extra pack). I cancelled my order. Wanted that helmet, bigtime. I'm sure I'll pick up the 2-pack when i see it in store, but zero urgency on it now. Also, I think shirtless bloodshot will look better, so that makes me happy.
  7. Captain Marvel Throught the Ages: -Mar-Vell -Rick Jones -Genis-Vell -Carol Danvers Been wanting Cap Marv thru the ages....well.... for ages
  8. WOW, very impressed with the hairsculpt! all look great, really like Snake, how about an overboard, big trouble, tango & cash versions
  9. I honestly LOVE this idea. it would be awesome to see everyone's take on the Capt. America costume! The Captain America Falcon is my favorite mate in this group. I also like the iron man, and assume the final may have a shiny/less matted sheen to it, which i think will help. Not sure I'm into the rest of them, but they really look nice. Probably 99.999% of the characters I want made will ever be made, so I just enjoy what is produced, and pick and choose which guys i think look cool. The storylines and writers have zero influence on whether i like a look of a character or not, its the actual mate i'm looking at, which may also be the reason I don't care if any teams get finished as long as the few guys i like in that team are made (sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't) Life's too short, Don't worry, be happy
  10. First one was "Celebrity Deathmatch Mr T.". It was given to me by my buddy Eagle (who the fuck is Eagle?)At the time, I had been into customizing lego minifigures, and he said "here, you like lego guys, check this guy out". He worked at game stop at the time, and they had a bunch of them, and he handed me about 5 or 6, figuring i could do something with them. The next day i went on ebay and saw the giant sized boxset, and some loose minimates, there must have been less than a hundred on ebay at the time i looked. I saw Colossus (steadily in my top ten favorite characters of any genre)and picked him up for a few bucks. He was the first one I ever bought. When i got him in the mail, and saw how close to lego they were, but way more fun (to the articulation)I ran out to Toys R us and bouth the 5 packs i remembered seeing and passing on before. after a week of hitting comic shops and tower records, I had a shoebox full of what would become my favorite toyline of all time, which says a lot because i'm a 41 year old child of the 80's, which was the best time ever to be a kid and play with toys! I hope the last ones i will ever buy will be full of DC comics superheroes, but that's for another thread.
  11. HI gang, I've been trying to stay out of this thread for awhile until I had an idea of whether or not i could make it. I think i am officially out.
  12. He'll yeah, Dave, I'll be ordering a bunch this weekend, new stuff looks awesome. I'd still like to see the three toed feet for skeletor and some others, and maybe zodac's armor and maybe a wizard had with some pointy ears when you get the time Thanks for doing these!
  13. I'll add to this by saying a little creative cutting is necessary.......... there are 3 options that i'm exploring. I hope the chinese bootleggers make these new dc figs soon so i can try out different things, or hopefully grab some fairly cheap black mantas on ebay or brickling soon. It looks so good on a minimate body though, hopefully i'll have one done soon enough, there are 2 other things i must finish first.
  14. This was hard for me, because i like so many different songs, from so many different people. I definitely go into different phases of music depending on time of year. I tried to narrow it by the top albums i recall listening to the most from cover to cover (which i find hard to do these days for various reasons) and this is what I've come up with. I'll leave it at five, although i could go on to easily top 25. Some of these do not contain my favorite songs from each group/singer/musician/etc, but overall better album in my opinion. Nina Simone- Nina Simone sings the blues Johnny Cash- At San Quentin The Beatles-abbey road Jethro Tull- Aqualung Eric B. and Rakim- Paid in Full I reserve the right to change my mind immediately, lol
  15. Wow BrobotC, Those Turtles are totally tubular (that means awesome, right?) I'd love to see classic tv toon turtles
  16. He's from Strawberry Shortcake, isn't he? Lol yep, dangit, I must have been already looking for a crossover. Still, Care Bears would be kinda cool
  17. It's gotta be Care Bears! That was I'll be able to get the peculiar purple pieman, from porcupine peak!
