Rather then? No... Her head design as Harleen (hair in a bun, glasses, sterner expression) is completely different than her head design as Harley (pig tails, no glasses, ditzy smile) that you couldn’t put the Dr.Quinzel head on the Harley base and call it a day...BUT, In addition to?!?! Hell yes!

I’m super psyched for this line. I’ve been wanting a non-Arkham Batman line that would include all my favorite characters with a Cohesive style FOREVER and now I’m getting TWO! (yeah, you could argue DCUC was “in the style” of the Horsemen but it was anything but coheisve, some figures were 100% sculpts, like their amazing Joker, some where generic detailess bodies with new heads and they made ONE decent Robin) I’m sure Man-Bat is going to get more articulation (he’s clearly just a 3D sculpt compared to the others being painted prototypes) but even if he doesn’t he’s goddamned amazing and he’s my favorite of the bunch, the head sculpt is everything it should be and more. If we’re wishlisting here’s things I want: -TNA Harley before TAS Harley (I want both but I want TNA more) -TAS Bane before TNA (I want to repaint him into El Santo and Blue Demon, so the soon I get Lucha Bane the better) -TNA Joker to come with swappable heads of his original TNA black pit eyes and his better JLU/BB:tRotJ Flashback head -speaking of alternate heads, I want an unmasked Harley. Either include it with the basic Harley or make a Pajama party Harley/Ivy two pack, I don’t care. Make an unmasked Harley -Since Killer Croc is going to be a deluxe figure anyway because of his size... just charge a little more and include Baby Doll with him, both versions of Croc come with that series’ Baby Doll even if they hadn’t met yet in TAS, don’t call me an asshole and charge $20 for Baby Doll as a single figure since whatever accessories she comes with to justify that kind of mark up are going into a box, just make the best f**king Killer Crocs possible and add on $5 for the Baby Doll and we all win.

I give this movie a solid C ...so are we all just going to ignore the fact (Marvel Cinematic Universe, not X-Men:DoFP) Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch make out in this movie? Because that seems like a thing people aren’t mentioning right now but I know is going to be a f**king macro gif meme when A2:AoU comes out so maybe we should just talk about it now and get it out of our systems...

I just got mine today. The paints absolute sh*t but I was gonna have to color match to the minimate bodies anyway so that’s okay, but if you want an easy kitbash it’s not worth it. PFFFFF! Leave Marty out of this! There’s an easy way to make this a reality if the View Askew license cover the Clerks Animated series. Charles Barkley was a reoccurring character in the series (he was even planned for a canceled series of Inaction Figures), I think he’s literally in half the episodes (granted there’s only 6, but he’s still there) So make two Clerks Animated Box Sets, (split Jay/Bob and Dante/Randal between the two like it’s a Ghostbusters set to drive sales) and include Charles Barkley in one of them (Leonardo Leonard and Mr.Plug and some other third character would round out the sets), and include with Charles Barkley an extra pair of shoes to put on one of the hopefully countless Godzilla variants we’ll end with (if he’s in every set that is ) There! Charles Barkley and Sneakered Godzilla! EVERYONE WINS! ... now, how can we get a candy bar accessory and a taco (you know, for Zilla.)

I love minimates because I can’t eat a POP! without feeling bloated but can eat seven minimates for less than a 100 calories!

Designed doesn’t mean released and in my collection, Mr. Oat movie Fandrel and Hogun have been designed, Clubber Lang and Thunderlips had been designed, a third wave of MAX and a second wave of pirates and Battle Beast have been designed, Sculpted heads for the TMNT had been designed, Someone won a design sheet of God of War’s Kratos in a facebook contest but he wasn’t one of the Sony mates... If Godzilla set 1 doesn’t do well so the line ends... we do not get Ghidorah If the second set doesn’t pre-order well enough... we do not get Ghidorah If the tooling on Ghidorah doesn’t cost out so not in the second set... we might not get Ghidorah I’ll be grateful for Ghidorah once we get him, but until then I still think the idea of mixing weaker characters into lines that might not have the fan base to support them is playing with fire.

Get the crow nets set up and warn the interns, because I don’t like Rodan and Ghidorah’s odds at this point.

Anyone willing to spill who else is in wave 2?I also want to know who’s in wave 2... if only because cool as Jet Jaguar is his inclusion kind of gives me a Rocky/SFxT/Universal Monsters vibe where the desire to make ‘interesting’ characters will prevent fans from getting ‘needed’ characters, and while it might seem fun to get Gigan, Titanosaurus, and Jet Jaguar now, it’s not gonna be so fun when the line ends and there’s no King Ghidorah (King Ghidorah being the Invisible Man/Mr.T/Jin of Godzilla of course)

I like this wave, I like interesting costumes and interesting matching team costumes more so... even if they’re on characters we have several versions of already. The Sentinels pretty cool too. So overall it’s a very nice wave. That said I’d rather have had a Modern Rogue, Modern and/or Updated Mystique, Silver Samurai, or literally any other X-Men related characters than this wave.

Is Storm going to be so pale in the finale figure? I have absolutely no plans to see this movie (as time moves on I’m getting more and more pissed about the ending of “the Wolverine”, an otherwise outstanding movie, being a pointless film ruining Boss Fight, and remembering how every X-Men movie has ended with a stupid power showcase grinds the plot to a hault boss fight I decided f**k it, that’s not the kind of movie I want to spend time watching these days... I’m actually doing good not seeing it because the less money X-Men films make the sooner the rights revert to Marvel anyway) but I really like the minimates. So while the movie is SUPER pass, I can’t wait to pre-order these tomorrow.

(It certainly couldn’t be that product didn’t come out because C3 was poor quality and sold horribly) -Several years later DC Direct contracts DST to make DC minimates for them -Seven (Eight? WGAS?! less then 10) Series in they remember their blood feud with Art Asylum -Cancel DC Minimates Again because they promoted campy Batman -Warner Brothers regains merchandising rights to Batman ’66 -Several companies start making Adam West figures at a time when DC will want people to forgot the campiness that was tDKR’s Bane since they’re trying to build a new Batman franchise again -Mattel, NECA, Funko, DST (again), Mezco, Hot Toys, WB Games, WB Animation, Eaglemoss, and by my count no fewer then seven other companies are going to create the same blood feuds Art Asylum did by reminding people of the greatest Batman who ever lived, and ALL loose their licenses. -Hasbro will pick up the license from Mattel and have it almost IMMEDIATELY revoked when DC realizes the toy company Peter Griffin worked for in early seasons of Family Guy was based in Rhode Island JUST LIKE HASBRO, and who’s the Mayor of Family Guy?! ADAM WEST!!!!!!! -After years and years of waiting fans finally get Batman ’66 on DVD, and Warner Brothers has no choice but to cut all ties with themselves for releasing campy Batman product in a year when they’re trying to promote Ben Affleck as Batman. Well don’t worry, based on your theory they’re all going to loose their licenses to make Batman merch soon since most of the items are Batman 1966 based, and we all know what kind of bad blood associating Adam West with the character can cause.

I kind of like “semi-blind bags” like the Mario K’nex currently are were there’s a painfully obvious code on bag so you can just buy the ones you want OR grab a couple at random and be surprised by the content. So if blind bags would get minimates into new stores AND there could be a clear code on the bags everyone would win.

I have absolutely no use for either of those bases, as I don’t have any fire wielding characters in that scale other then Mars and Mercury (blue Fire is basically water) and it’d look weird for them to have bases and the other 4+ scouts(senshi, whateves) don’t have bases... but I *NEED* them. (they’ll probably end up bases for Monster High dolls or used by my wife for photographing her D&D minis, but I have no Figuarts use for them.)

So Zach... can you elaborate on why you guys can’t make Batman ’66 minimates? I breaks my heart the one kind of DC minimates I’d actually want are theoretically within reach but for some reason not possible... I need closure to move on!

Digger pissed off WB/DC by sanctioning that Batman: New Times video without WB's approval. At a time when DC was trying to distance themselves from the campy silliness that was the Schumacher bat-flicks, Digger was endorsing an unauthorized DC Minimates movie featuring Adam West as the voice of Batman. C3 lost the DC license despite already having an entire line in the concept phase for Batman Begins. I'm fairly certain Digger is the source of bad blood between DC and Art Asylum. But DST is making Batman ’66 products now. So any bad blood MUST be gone by now, especially in regards to Adam West as Batman (unless WB plans to cut off ties to their Animation Department, WB Montreal, Funko, and Mattel for promoting campy Batman products) I think the reason we don’t have DC minimates is Mezco holds the 2 inch figure license, otherwise we’d probably have Batman ’66 minimates and that’s all we'd really need anyway.

If we ignore the over lap it breaks down like this (note that I’m counting each variation as its own mate, so even if these movies spawned let’s say 4 unique characters, it still counts as 15 different mates because Spider-man wore a different pair of slacks each time):-Spider-man 2: 14 different mates -XM:O:W: 15 different mates -Iron Man 2: TWENTY EIGHT (spread over a box set, an army dump, a boarders 2 pack, a previews exclusive 2 pack, a specialty wave, two TRU packs with 2 new characters, two TRU packs with 1 new character) so there’s plenty of ways to get Avengers 2 minimates out there, the question is: Do any of the usual channels want them (will TRU want 2 exclusive sets this time or will they stick with the new norm of one? will AFX and/or Disney Store want a box set? Will they only have the standard 4 two packs at LCS? will another about to go under store chain pick up an exclusive set, go bankrupt, and make sure we NEVER see minimates of those characters?!) and if they do how many will be unique characters and not Tony Stark in different slacks? (if those movies are any example every new wave or exclusive pack will have some version of at least Tony in it as an anchor, no one wants to take on a set of four no bodies while another store gets the sweet, sweet Iron man cash.)

can someone who knows Lego parts better then I do tell me what pieces make up this custom Dummy (or Dum-E or D.U.M.Y. or whatever you like to call Tony Stark’s sad little robot arm buddy [https://www.flickr.com/photos/luxorv/8876068633/in/photostream/ I can figure out like 80% of them (assuming they’re the same pieces I encountered building the Sea Cow and that I’m not guessing wrong) but the rectangle brick in the middle, the pieces used to attach it to the base and the ‘arm' rod, and the rod itself have me stumped to no end. and it’s frustrating dangit, because that Dummy looks like he’d go with a minimate Iron Man real nicely. (I’d ask the guy buy... ugh, I don’t want to sign up for yahoo to post one question.)
