  1. I think Ryu, Ken, and lightly-modified Thunderbird hair would get you most of the way to Shang-Chi. I can think of two more sets worth of "must-have" Cobras, and the eighth figure is Cobra Commander Fred, which might be stretching things. I think the line will get to to army builders sooner rather than later. I know as an obscure driver, Thrasher's never going to happen, and even Road Pig's not terribly likely, but they've got my favourite designs of any Joe characters.
  2. Zartan seems pretty certain, and maybe Firefly and Bludd? Probably not Road Pig and Thrasher, unfortunately.
  3. Even coming from a novel, Drizzt is probably the most well-known D&D character, so it would be weird to skip over him. I think he was the only D&D action figure Hasbro bothered to make despite owning the brand.
  4. The diver from Creature From The Black Lagoon, maybe? One of the Khans might work too, depending on the skin tone.
  5. I've had a few problems with hip joints twisting off, mostly on middle-period minimates with cheaper-feeling plastic, but it's happened occasionally with newer items too.
  6. That's fair enough, I hadn't realised they were only drivers. It'd still be cool to see Road Pig, although I imagine other Dreadnoks would come first.
  7. How obscure or unlikely-to-be made are Road Pig, Thrasher, and Wil Bill? I'm not familiar with the characters, but the first two would make great Fallout/Mad Max wastelanders, and Bill looks like he'd be a headswap away from Robert Duvall's character in Apocalypse Now.
  8. I've seen the Transformers box set at GameStop a few times now, but I'd never seen anything before that.
  9. I'd go with Korvac, Vision, orange shoulderpads Wasp, Jocasta, and Stakar, with the sixth slot for another Guardian. Yondu for movie recognisability or Vance for Cap-similarity (and Justice potential) would both make sense.
  10. Any chance of comic-based tie-ins, like the last Spidey movie got? Or is the next comic wave after the F4 too far off for that to be a consideration?
  11. A Korvac Saga wave would be pretty great. I'm not sure whether I'd want it to start an incomplete Guardians lineup, though, or just stick to filling classic Avengers holes.
  12. I've got no interest in the new Spider-Man movie, but I'd buy Raimi versions of Peter, Goblin, and Ock. Without Walgreens, though, either seem unlikely. When was the last time there was a Marvel movie set at comic shops?
  13. Short of 90's The Crossing versions, I can't think of any Hank and Jan variants I wouldn't welcome (Although I've got no idea what their current status quo is in the comics, is Hank still dead/Ultron?), so it's nice to hear that they're under consideration. Fingers crossed for a classic Avengers wave after the F4.
  14. Between Eternals and Marvel's Disney Plus shows, a lot of 80's-90's Avengers looks and characters are being raised to a higher profile. It seems a little premature to talk about releases past the F4, but I'd love to see a wave with a few of these:
  15. There are a few good options for classic Iron Man, but that suit never looks right in gold to me. Best Of would be my pick.
  16. There's not much I'd like to see more than a new comic Wasp, it's crazy that we only ever got the one. I'd want one of her many 70's looks, but a modern version would be more likely - hopefully one that would work reasonably well for the Avengers Forever team.
  17. AoA Rogue has a plain yellow torso, but the limbs don't match.
  18. Apparently the series numbering is separate from the FCBD set. 1 is redecoed Snake Eyes and Scarlett with the other Joes, 2 is CC and SS with the Cobras. I'm a little concerned that double-dipping so early in the line could hurt sales, but it seems to be working pretty well for Hasbro in the Classified line. I don't know much about GI Joe (or the other Hasbro properties), but it's definitely exciting to see all these new licenses. I'm hoping to see the Air Cav guy in the line - Wild Bill, I think?
  19. I've started tracking down a lot of the Dark Horse Star Wars stuff recently, and I really couldn't agree more. Especially with how many series got cut off by the license changeover before they could provide satisfying conclusions.
  20. I picked up the Quill/Warlock pack today, and their faces are really a highlight, there's a lot of personality in them for each character. I don't like the look of the hair on the movie Star-Lord mask, so I'm probably going to move this figure's mask to the movie version, even though the hair is substantially lighter. Moondragon's head in my set has a stray blob of paint over her lip, but from a distance it's easy to ignore. The hairpiece hole for a bald character is annoying, though. I'm still deciding whether or not I'll go back for the other two sets to complete Moondragon, since it's not the classic Avengers version.
  21. Yeah, that's the picture I think they drew from. I can understand sticking to familiar characters to wider audiences, but I'd say Groot, Phyla, and Bill would work about as well as Gamora, Angela, and Warlock.
  22. Gamora and Quill are from two different versions of the team. Gamora's from the Bendis run, so she goes with Nova, Captain Marvel, Agent Venom and Godkiller Iron Man, but we don't have any of the other four movie Guardians from that era. Star-Lord (and the rest of the wave) are from Donny Cates' run, which is missing Groot, Beta Ray Bill, and Phyla-Vell.
  23. For a while there was a box set or wave every year for a new event, but most of Marvel's big events haven't really been well-received lately. Secret Wars was, but the wave was completely based on the Battleworlds instead of the main series, so I don't know if that counts.
  24. I'd be fine with just short arms and legs for dwarves and hobbits. Gollum would work with a small chestblock and narrower legs, like Rocket or Sonic.
  25. If it isn't because of cost or sell-through, stepping on another licensors toes seems possible. Maybe a licensor who already makes BaFs, or one whose whole product is building-based. The only problem I've ever had with minimate packaging is when I can't check the whole figure for the best paint.
