youbastards
I've finally finished Howard the Duck! This is by far my longest in-progress custom, due to the amount of sculpted parts and having a 10-month old. Howard's bill, cigar, feet, lower body, and closed jacket are all sculpted with Fixit sculpt. The jacket is a Baltar jacket that was modified. The tuft of feathers on Howards's head is painted styrofoam and the hat is actually the same hat from the Marvel Legends Howard the Duck. Arms and legs (also arms) were shortened to to stay in proportion and reduce height. The face decal credit goes to Gene Colan, as I used his artwork from the cover to Howard the Duck #8. I had tried to sculpt eyes, but it just didn't work. Misfit size comparison: BFF's: Daughters of the Dragon (quick customs) Misty Knight is a revised version of MsMarvel Fan's awesome custom. Colleen Wing is First Class Emma with Black Queen Jean Grey's face and Black Widow's hair. Modified Omega Red I copied JBoogie's modified Omega Red by cutting out the bulky chest and sides and replacing the chest piece with the chest from Wave 36 Silver Centurion Iron Man. I also painted the omega symbol on the headband silver and repainted the tendrils silver, as they are often drawn that way. I figured it would also help distinguish my custom from the official release. Edited June 12, 2011 by youbastards

boyd
Nice decal! Unless you painted that by hand, in which case I name you Painter of the Year 2011.
Bob Harris
Good job on Howard. Sooner or later someone had to do this, right?
youbastards
Nice decal! Unless you painted that by hand, in which case I name you Painter of the Year 2011. Definitely a decal! I was really surpised how much detail remained when I reduced it down that small. Once I'm finished I will post them for all to use. Good job on Howard. Sooner or later someone had to do this, right? Thanks Bob!
youbastards
Since DST won't get off their asses, I made 616 S.H.I.E.L.D. army builders!!! This is a project I have had in my mind for a while. When Multiple Man came out, I bought lots of extras as he is one of my favorite characters. I was stuck with a lot of this version of Angel: I took Luke's SHIELD decal he has on the Factory, and color-matched the blue to the blue in that Angel: I applied the decal, and then used Games Workshop 'Enchanted Blue' paint to touch up the rest of the areas on the minimate that needed to be painted. I printed this decal on clear decal paper, and applied one to each shoulder, the Angel minimate works perfectly for this as the top of his shoulders are white. Once I finished up the 10 SHIELD soldiers, I made a 616 Dum Dum Dugan too! Here are the results:
Psyguy
Wow....they are amazing!!! Why hasn't DST done this yet? Fanatstic idea and brilliant execution, love them.

lastmaximal
They look awesome all together. Wish there were an easy way to get that many Angels locally
Nessex
What a great ideas! I'm so glad to see someone found a use for the excess Angel figures. They look fantastic, YB! Any chance you made a Sharon Carter or Maria Hill to go with those shield agents?
youbastards
Thanks everyone! This really was a labor of love. Part of me put it off thinking "DST will have them in the next wave", but it never happened. Now that I have actually created them, I expect the formal announcement any time. Nessex - check out the first post of page 1! I do plan to make some female 616 SHIELD agents, hopefully this weekend.

Nessex
WOW! That is one Jugsy X-Babe! Great Work. I love her Mic! Where'd it come from? Nice use of Blink/Magneto?Gambit's parts for her powers too.
youbastards
Thanks Nessex! Credit goes to Luke for the decals he posts on the Factory page, I modified some of the ones he posted. The mic is from one of the Lego minifig packs. My nephew got multiples of one of the figures and he gave me the mic! The power effect she is holding in thw 2nd pic is actually one of Psylocke's psychic knives. I'm glad you like the effects! And with Dazzler complete, I only have 1 more work-in-progress custom to complete. It will be nice to get caught up on my backlog! Oh yeah, my WIP is another X-babe! hellpop
She looks great. Dazzler's a character that has a strong place in my heart (despite her comic being terrible), so it's quite possible that I'll steal borrow your formula at some point.

youbastards
Siryn! Mostly a QC. The cape was the most difficult part (and will be similar for my upcoming Banshee custom) is on clear decal paper.
