TBT!

Nintendo have lost it as far as I'm concerned, they are a a one trick pony, 'new versions of about 6 classic francises'. Like Neo I believe they should give up on the hardware side of things and concentrate on developing great NEW games for existing systems. Briefly back to the Xbox1 and the online thing, I think my strong opinions over the online/24hr lock-down are put into sharp focus because I just moved house and spend around 2 weeks without internet... the Xbox1 would have been useless to me during that time. Other than that lots of fun new stuff at E3, still filtering which games I'll actually buy, but this is the first year in a while where I was actually excited to see a bunch of new stuff. ( SW battlefront esp, with the thought that if they are putting old SW franchises in good hands we might see a new X-wing game at some point.) T.

So that was interesting... It was almost as if Sony decided to have low key show, then just for fun say hey don't put up with that MS bullshit... And everyone went wild. Sony won E3 IMO... Of course I'll wait a year before jumping on board the next gen but the lack of stupid DRM is the main reason I'll be jumping from MS to Sony for this round. Will be interesting to see how developer support goes for Sony if they aren't getting a cut of used games like MS, of course the flipside of that is.. if you're not selling consoles/games because no one wants to deal with MS's stupid policies then the used game market is a moot point. T.

RIP Eddie May the paint always flow and your brushes be clean... Met Eddie a couple of times,always pleasant and happy to chat. Also he was one of those people that so obviously loved what he did and appreciated that he could earn living doing it. T.

Nothing is making me jump up and down saying I want it... yet... As most of you have said there seems too many negatives to go with the positives this time around. I'd love to come say hi to the guys I know and meet those I don't but 2014 is already looking stupidly busy & fully booked for me with several long hauls to weddings, probably including one in France... so It looks like i'll have to pass again...
