  1. Anyone else think Gamora's eyes look a little far apart?
  2. Oh. I was always under the impression that they were bobbles. Oh well.
  3. WOW! I had to stop reading that at page 2. Some people are just screwed up. Good on you for standing up for your daughter!

I believe it. While they can't outright cancel all their comics, MARVEL has found ways to exclude FF and X-Men. Notice the promotional posters. No X-Men or FF. Most Marvel toy lines. No FF or X-Men. They didn't even have anything relating to either franchise @SDCC this year. I think it's pretty obvious what they're trying to do.
  5. I almost lost my mind when I saw that! I don't know, I think that something like that would be cool as long as it has articulation. It'll never happen though.
  6. The POP! brand is all bobbleheads.
  7. You're kidding right? ??????? If serious...
  8. That's awesome that the set sold out. Any possibility of more B&W in the future?
  9. Zach said at the panel that the Aliens 2-pack would be coming after the singles and boxed set (early 2015). He also showed control art of them. He didn't specify where they would be available but I believe he mentioned soliciting them. I assume that means specialty stores.
  10. Someone probably repackaged and returned it. How was the tape on it?
  11. Oh yeah and all these at retail price! HUGE thanks to Zach for unearthing these!
  12. Yeah, they're the ones that originally came with Marty in the 25th anniversary box set I think. That means normal head.
  13. Great first SDCC overall! One of the highlights: Meeting Jason Mewes! Oh and getting this! THANKS DST!
  14. Some might consider that bad news, but being able to get 'Mates easily is good in my book.
  15. If I'm not mistaken, the LIS 2-pack was released along with the Jay/Bob 2-pack to test the wafers. Perhaps LIS wasn't as big a seller as Jay/Bob. That was evident at this year's SDCC when most a whole peg of Jay/Bob sets sold and not even close to the same amount of LIS.

But I thought Chuck said you guys turned them down.
  17. Darn, it totally slipped my mind. Oh well. I'll get it at some point. I'm just glad I got the turtles!
  18. Hey Zach, don't worry about it. It shouldn't be up to you to know when the Nick giveaway was every day. My beef was with them not knowing their own giveaway times daily. You at least said "Hey it's going to be 9:30 every day." I mean sheesh, how hard is that?! Instead they had to make it all complicated, with different times each day. I did miss out on comicwow but I'm not worrying too much about that. Thanks for making my first SDCC even better!
  19. DST's other products that sell VERY WELL are their ships that are aimed at adult collectors. It's a whole different market.
  20. I'm going to make this post quick for no other reason than that I am in the process of leaving SDCC. 1. As stack32 supported it has been stated that sales were not GREAT. Perhaps not exactly BAD but not successful enough to warrant another wave. They DID say they were unsure but I think the fact that we haven't heard anything by now speaks for itself. 2. The original Star Trek did not have good ratings in the end and as you said TOS and TNG are the more popular shows. Why do you think some of the other had such short lifespans. 3. I compare Star Trek to Marvel because we are talking about toys here. DST has stated that A LOT of their customers are kids. If you walk up to most kids today and say "Who's Captain Picard?", they probably don't know. If you ask the same of Spider-Man or Iron Man, they definitely know. The only Star Trek characters most kids know are the ones from JJ's movies. Even then they wouldn't recognize the Kirk/Khan 2-pack outside of the names. 4. When I said Trek toys are notoriouy bad sellers I Was talking about current sales. Do you know why I don't talk about sales from 15 years ago? Because it's not 15 years ago. I think when toys from a popular movie can't sell well to kids, it's unlikely past versions will sell any better. I'm not trying to say I don't want more Star Trek. Trust me, I do. I just think everyone needs to recognize that at this point, the line is dead in the water. I do hope that's not going to be the case forever though.
