I know several people have talked about attending C2E2 (the big Chicago comic-con). And since it's now 2013 and it's only four months away, I thought it might be nice to start a dedicated thread for C2E2. My local TRU is cleaned out of Wave 13, but has lots of Wave 14 on the pegs right now. And the same three pegs full of X-Men First Class Minimates which may never move...

Really wish I could use my TRU Rewards bucks online and grab a bunch of those...

Wonderful looking set. The Thundercats have been some of the best looking Minimates of the past year. And I love the possibilities that the new shorter arm and leg pieces present.

Wonderful looking Hanna Barbaera mates. The noses for the humans throw me a little, but otherwise they're incredible faithful and accurate to the cartoon. And Captain Caveman is the best custom I've seen this year. Absolutely wonderful.

I admit it - I'm a child of the 80's. I have big love for G.I.Joe, MUSCLE, Inhumanoids, MOTU, MASK, Fisher-Price Adventure People, even Jem and the Holograms. But not Transformers. I'll hand in my "Child of the 80s" membership card next week.

Oh don't worry. While I have no interest in Transformers, they have been a wildly successful and enduring toy line, and I respect their innovation and quality. Even without being compared to Transformers, Go-Bots would still be considered some crappy toys. When your biggest success was a moped that transforms, then your toy line has probably failed.

Yup, Ernest would be pretty cool. But he needs to come in an Airwolf set with bitchin' attack helicopter and Jan Michael-Vincent Minimate.

It works both ways - I learn about Disney Princesses, and she's learning about super-heroes.

Actually I'd rather see the armor Disney Princess series - translucent "Sunlight" armor with Cinderella, animal power "Beast" armor with Belle, magic "Genie" armor with Jasmine, and undersea "Trident" armor for Ariel. And then Snow White could come with the dwarfs and 8 individual suits of armor that combine into one large suit called "Many Hands". EDIT: My wife suggested that the Snow White armor should be called "Gundam White".

Darkwing Duck would make some incredible Minimates.

Great looking Roger Rabbit customs. The decals are great, and the fingernail polish is perfect for Jessica's dress. And I agree with your decision - Jessica is one of the few female characters that need a sculpted chest to look right.
