.......I thought I had dibs on the title ,'grumpy ol' man I have a stack of loose Wave 6 Iron-Man 'mates which I bought from a (perhaps) relative of the Mandarin on ebay. On inspection none of them had Stark's head & my conscience has always stopped me from glueing the helmets on & selling them on ebay As for head-swaps I now have a veritable cornucopia of choices with all these ferric figures arriving..... happy day!

I always thought that 'What if the Hulk turned into Bruce Banner when he got angry?' would be kind of interesting, as would 'What if Namor couldn't swim?' & 'What if Blackbolt had Tourettes Syndrone?' . 'What if Galactus farted?' 'What if buttheadsmate was funny?'......................

Civil War Boxset in UK from Next Week.
buttheadsmate replied to MiniFiend UK's topic in Marvel Minimates
I'm hanged if I do & I'm hanged if I don't so ........... Civil War Box sets courtesy of Shanester available now from me for £11 inc. postage to all UK members while the stock lasts .PM 's only please. First come first served. -
This series continues to impress but why did the turn up? OK it might not have been called that but the similarity was amazing. So UNIT supposedly has that type of technology yet they're still driving Land Rovers? Very few Land Rover's will even start up let alone help in the fight against aliens. Keep it simple BBC!

Yet another example of 'mates-promotion missed. Give me the repro & I'll produce ..at cost. -
Minimates, when sold individually, become lonely On the other hand box-sets often require company therefore a case is the only answer. A case can also feel a tad insecure.....

Arrived this morning but I've been so busy with work that I couldn't get an opportunity to have a look at them . I have now & they are stunning. It's all been said & I've read all the reviews but nothing prepares you for Cap.

I've seen more than a couple of episodes. Red converse shoes?
-
3 'crotches' & your are out.

Wow really? We used to have one in a little village near where I grew up (Grown up in this case is subjective!) as late as the mid-late 70's I'd have thought that in your 'extended maturity' would have been more likely to seen one. T. Salem? Never been there!

In more ways than one I am old school Marvel & when I was a kid, Captain America was, to an English kid,OK but not 'up there' with Iron Man & Thor. Either the comics(in general) themselves or perhaps I lost my/their way for a long long time until a friend of mine gave me the latest issue of 'Captain America' a couple of years ago. It was the first Marvel I had read for quite some time & I was even complaining about the glossy paper.............. "For f**k sake get to the point" ...........OK ....OK.....I'm back into reading comics & the point is that the Captain America comic-book has been brilliant for ages & the time is ripe for a film. Captain America personifies the USA as we (Johnny Foreigner) hopes it could be & hopefully will be again....is it just coincidence that he's dead at the moment? I've just read 're-booted' Thor(1-8) & apart from that helmet (WTF) it is truly moving in parts . I'm not sure were ready for a Thor film yet though . If someone could come up with the budget I see Thor with his Asgardian cohorts working in the LOR style ,not before. I haven't seen Iron Man yet .....I need to. Neolego....'Hancock' is the name of the film, 'Handcock' describes one or two members here

I know the talent we have here ,surely someone could make a Lego Tardis? After all it is just a box.

I can't seem to be able to use the link. Try mine http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_041808a.htm. I'll delete my link when required.

.......buttheadsmate is Thor Strangely enough I've just read Thor 1-8 . I tend to buy my comics as lots & then read them altogether. Stunning .

If AA still made 8 inch figures...?
buttheadsmate replied to ramseesthegreat1's topic in Marvel Minimates
I really don't think that size matters I tried to help the thread along with my addition of the Watcher but if there now has to be a regulation size(XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL perhaps) then start another thread 'If AA were to make a 10 inch figure....' .....& his name is 'Ego,the living planet' though 'purple planet guy' has a certain ring to it If AA were to release a 10 inch version of 'purple planet guy' I reckon they would literally 'roll off the toy-store shelves'. A perfect example of Maxi mate articulation .......none. Ego....I like that  I wonder if he's bi-polar? -

Reminds me of an old, incredibly obscure WWF wrestler from the 1990s named "Mantaur." http://www.retrojunk.com/details_articles/145/ You ain't gonna believe this That IS the landlord of the 'Boars Head'. He was mean. Real mean. When business was bad he used to throw people INTO the pub -
