Hopefully there will be a corresponding comic book wave... or is that what wave 44 is?

Best of - I feel like most of these "best" mates have been done better, honestly. It's fine since it's an exclusive. I guess I'm outnumbered when I say I don't care for the new faces on Sabretooth or Goblin. I feel earlier versions did it better. Same with Cap. Iron Man is really the only one here who interests me, but the whole purpose of this wave is to do popular characters over again, so I can't really complain. It does exactly what it meant to do, but since I have these characters already, I'll pass. Wave 44 - ...not really sure what to think. I'm not an Avengers guy like Miry so I don't have a personal tie to this era in Avengers. So from an outsiders perspective... Thor with a beard is cool, but I can do that with a head swap from wave 42 or TRU 12. Cap has been done perfectly since wave 5. Just pick your favorite shade of blue and either a cut out mask or slip-on mask and you can find a perfect Cap. This one is beyond unecessary. And why doesn't his mask fit? Smart Hulk looks good for that version of him. Let's face it... a black tank top and red pants isn't really that great of a super hero costume, but that's how he was in the comics so the minimate captures it well. Iron Man and the Ant Men look pretty cool too. Just not my favorite versions of their costumes. Kree Sentry might make it worth getting whatever AntMan is easier to find. Like everyone else seems to be saying, if they swapped out Cap and Thor for Hawkeye, Black Widow, Wasp, Mockingbird or any other Avenger we haven't seen or who could use an update, I would be singing a much different tune. Then again, I wasn't excited about 42/12 when it was announced, but now I can't wait to get my hands on Kirby Thor, Balder, Zola and Crossbones. Here's hoping TRU gets lucky with wave 13.

My TRU in south western Ohio (Dayton mall) still has a ton of MvC3. We also have a ton of Thor and Cap movie mates. There's still some X-Men first class and a couple Omega Reds, Mr Negative, and Nightcrawlers. A good amount of UM, Playstation and MAX. Not too many Halo or RGB. Overall though the amount makes me worry if there is enough room for wave12. Oh and they also put two Watchmen block figure sets with the mates like it's all the same thing.

I checked my local TRU (by the Dayton Mall in Ohio) today and they didn't have wave12 or Galactus. They had a ton of MvC3, Captain America movie, Thor movie, X-Men First Class, some Monsters, Sony, and MAX, and a few Halo and Real Ghost Busters. I don't know if I should be happy that my TRU has so many 'mates, or worried that they have too many...

I'm with you there Groundhog. I'd love to have that Magneto, Iceman, Juggernaut and Green Goblin more than smaller versions of characters we already have.

Great job with it last year. I look forward to seeing what you come up with this year. Off the top of my mind (read: no research at all) I can't think of who the best or worst would be. It's been a good year for minimates (and us)

Ha ha ha. Thor's letter to Santa is gold. Also love Prof X's comment. Murderofcrows, something like 20% of schools stopped teaching cursive and more are following suit. Cursive will soon be a generational thing. Don't know if that's the case for TM2 Dinobot, but it's a fun piece of trivia

There have been exceptional mates since wave1 (Daredevil). However a new and even better version of DD is coming soon, so to play this game I'll list the mates I don't think could ever be improved. Villains pack Green Goblin (newest one is good for the glider but you can't beat this guys face) Dr. Strange Wave 28 Wolverine, Gambit, Sabretooth, Psylocke 90s Storm, Cyclops, Beast, Rogue Retro X-Force Cable Sentinel (could only be improved by making a 3" version) Classic Heroic Cap, Spider-man, Thor, Iron Man TRU Human Torch And the new Nightcrawler I only really collect Marvel so I won't comment on the other licenses (but Picard, DCD Batman and Wonder Woman are awesome and I'm super excited about that new Akuma)

Amazing Shots this week! You guys are brilliant.

I'm kind of in it 50/50. I'll be buying some sets just for the Marvel character and some just for the Capcom. I don't care about Dante but I wanted to finally get Deadpool. I don't want another Cap but I want that Ryu. Some packs I'm really jacked about are Akuma/Modok and Viewtiful Joe/Modern Wolverine. I would really love it if this grew the DST and Capcom relationship to where we could get mates of awesome characters who didn't make it in to MvC3. Bring back the Street Fighter line (these new mates are KILLER and I'd love to get a Guile) and start up a Viewtiful Joe line (my favorite Capcom franchise - I would do terrible things to get an Alastor). I would seriously buy all of the Viewtiful Joe mates they wanted to make. All the variations of Biankies. Anything.

I love the Avengers "A" symbol on Cap's jacket sleeve. I hadn't noticed that before. I'm mostly looking forward to Zola and Crossbones from the corresponding TRU wave. Thanks for the advanced pics, Luke

I'm with you on Bishop. He was never my favorite X-Man because I'm a fan of the other gun-totting time traveller, Cable. I never had a problem with Bishop, he just wasn't my favorite. Then all of a sudden when the baby messiah is born, Bishop loses all sense of reason and, as you correctly descirbed, becomes basically the Terminator. I wouldn't mind if some of that was retconned. Maybe they find out that the real Bishop had been replaced by Bastion or a Nimrod or any other kind of mutant killing force. It just doesn't make sense with it being Bishop. Maybe they could find the real Bishop was being held prisoner in some kind of stasis along with the real Forge. That's another guy who really flew off the handle, man. Oh and they have confirmed that Sabretooth will come back soon. Wouldn't be surprised if any of the others you mentioned came back with him... all just together in a Winnebago. "Hey Wolverine! We're back from vacation!"

Sorry you are leaving the wonderful world of minimates. But if youre sure about selling... I can see already that you have some I still need. If you're giving first dibs to members of the multiverse I'd love to see what all you have and hear your prices. If you sell them as a lot on eBay you should definitely count how many you have. I just saw a lot of 126 mates sell for $170. Up to you if you sell them individually or as a set though. Not sure what will get you more money or if you're just looking to get rid of them all at once.

I hear you, man. I'm an artist. I just turned 25 in June. In September my job contract was up so now I'm unemployed. I'm married and my wife works, so we have enough money to live on our own, but things are getting tight again. All you want to do is work on your dream, your passion. Not some boring retail or office job. My dad is a musician. He worked his 30+ years for the city water department. Now that he's retired he says he's having the time of his life. I'm really struggling with which path to take. I feel like any time or energy spent looking for an office job is time and energy taken away from my artwork and if I succeeded in finding one of those jobs, it means my art is just a hobby. Something on the side. I don't want that. I forget who said it here, but no one really knows why those who catch the breaks do. It is really just about opportunity, not talent, I suppose. Maybe it takes moving to a different city where you can meet the right people at the right time for things to work out. I don't know. I obviously haven't figured it out yet, but I'm trying. Right now, I'm trying. That's all we can do, really. Try our hardest and stay positive. Don't give up hope and don't give up any opportunities. Best of luck, man.
