So my lovely wife decided to run the Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon in Savannah, GA. We got there two days early and so we stopped at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Pooler, GA. There is a Hot Topic in that outlet mall. I found only three Looking Glass Minimates and so I the only five NBX minimates I could find (which was good because Hot Topic was having a sale: Buy One get One Half-off). Of the three ATLG mates, I got a Red Queen, a White Queen and a regular Alice. I purchased all the ATLG minimates I could find at the Pooler, GA location as of Thursday, November 3rd. So as we drove home, we stopped at Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, TN and I went to the Hot Topic there. I was having a hard time feeling the packages but I ended up with eight ATLG. When I opened them I was surprised. I got Alice, two Time-Frozen Alice, two Mad Hatter, a Disappearing Cheshire Cat, Time and a Red Queen. I was hoping to get Monochrome Time no luck. I purchased all the ATLG mates the Opry Mills Mall location had as of Monday, November 7th. I am just glad I was able to find them and so happy for my collection. Now I will need to get Dee and Dum and the White Rabbit and the regular Cheshire Cat.

Of the five NBX mates, I got a Singing Elf, Mummy Boy and Behemoth and then ended up with the purple Oogie and a Pajama Jack. So as we drove home, we stopped at Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, TN and I went to the Hot Topic there. I was having a hard time feeling the packages but I ended up with six. When I opened them I was disappointed. I got Jack, two Pajama Jack, two purple Oogie, and a Sally. I was hoping to get the exclusives so I could open one of them but no luck.

I wish I had the time to head either one of these nice events. However, I am spread too thin as it is with my community service outreach projects my wife and I do. I enjoy the birthday elephant but not sure I could run the show. I would maybe consider Secret Santa but not this year. I do hope someone continues the traditions.

I was just now able to find Dark Iron Man/Black Widow, Dark Thor/Thanos, Taskmaster/Iron Spider-man and Gamora/Drax at one of the seven local Walgreens in the Blo/No, IL area. I wish I could have found a second set of Taskmaster/Iron-Spidey and Gamora/Drax so I can do a couple of customs I have an idea for. I doubt that 2.5 shows up before Christmas in my area, but I thought they were not to hit until Winter 2017 but I am not sure where I saw that.

I wish I could find some Scotty minimates, I would like to get the red shirts. I got three Scotty mates and I made one into a Mirror Scotty and one into a Dress Uniform Scotty with a kilt. I somehow (TM2 Dinobot helped me it think) got two other Scotty Torsos and I made Lt. Kyle and Khan in the red uniform from Space Seed. I would like to get a few more red TOS torsos to have a few more red shirts in my display. Also wish I had another Janice Rand or two for some customs. I wish they made Uhura in her gold uniform from the Pilot episode. I could not afford to get lots of the Star Trek Minimates when they first came out in the 3" or 2" sizes. And now I can't afford them for the after market prices. I hoarded as many as I could get my hands on over the years but that was not very many.

Sci-Fi

I would like to get the full piano, the larger keyboard (is there a stand for it?) and the drum set, myself. Are they available on Shapeways? I am looking to display the group in my office and the look would be great if I had the instruments for all. The rest of the band appears to be coming with their instruments.

Dukes of Hazzard, would be a fun license to have the MiniMate treatment. Could be a line of vehicles with MiniMates: 1) Bo Duke with The General Lee 2) Uncle Jesse Duke with his Pick-up Truck. 3) Daisy Duke with her Jeep 4) Boss J.D. Hogg with his car 5) Rosco P. Coltrane and Flash) with a police car 6) Cooter Davenport with his Tow-Truck 7) Luke Duke with the car before it became the General Lee 8) Cletus Hogg with a damaged police car Then there could be a couple of box sets to get all the characters: DoH Set 1) Lulu Hogg, Enos Strate, Coy and Vance Duke. DoH Set 2) The Ballardeer, Sheriff Little from Chickasaw County, Miz "Emma" Tizdale and Dr. Petticord. That would cover just about all the basic characters and provide a few of the background characters. Would also provide some more playtime since the have vehicles to get around in. I would like to see Masters of the Universe MiniMates (He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Teela, Skeletor, Evil-lyn, Beast-man, Mer-man, Buzz-Off, Claw-ful, Stratos, Zodiac, She-Ra, and so forth). (Also, I would like to see more Fantasy Characters in Minimates form. Mermaids, Centaurs, Gorgons, and the such.)

Just found Series 5 at TRU today, which is interesting because my local TRU is terrible about getting things when it comes to Minimates. Also it is was interesting because my case from Luke's Toy Story just arrived today as well. I picked-up the Michelangelo & Bishop pack. Now I have all of Series 5. I think I have all the TMNT minimates now except the transparent Red Raphael and the black & white box set.

If Picard had to be included, then he could come with and Alternate head for Riker because you could use the same minimate body as Picard and Worf for that matter. I just want to see more than just the remakes/re-releases of the same characters all the time. They could do this sort of work on Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise as well. I myself would like to see the Bridge Crew from TNG more than anything but I deep down want all the Star Trek Characters in Minim Mates form. The Marvel Wave 60 works for Star Trek when the uniforms are involved. TWOK movie uniforms would work this way as well. However, I would like to see the episode variations of some characters: Data and LaForge as Holmes and Watson, Picard as Robin Hood, Troi, Data and Picars as Romulans. Kirk as a Romulan from TOS, Sisko as a Klingon, Scotty and McCoy from their TNG appearances. TWOK movie uniforms would work this way as well.

So if they were to make the 8 Figure assortment, which I like that idea, we really already got Picard in the First Contact uniform. So we just need the rest of the crew and maybe Cochrane, Sloane, a Borg or Lt. Hawk as a Borg (could be him in the spacesuit with a regular human head as an accessory). Data could come with and extra arm and head to show him with flesh or at the end after the flesh was dissolved LaForge could come with a head with a VISOR so we could make him from the days of TNG. Riker could come with a head that was bearded for a TNG custom. Could do the pairing something like: Idea 1) Data with Lt. Hawk as a Borg; Riker with Troi; Crusher with Worf; LaForge with Cochrane Idea 2) Crusher with Lily Sloane; Riker with Troi; LaForge with Cochrane; Worf with Data Idea 3) Troi with Cochrane; Crusher with Sloane; LaForge with Riker; Worf with Data

Just letting you all know I have taken a break from MiniMate Customizing. I will come back to it but for now I am working on Customizing Lego Minifigures. I have made my take on the Gods of Olympus and now working on Star Trek The Original Series and The Next Generation and the Borg from TNG.

So I made my version of Thor the Unworthy. I retired my female version of Thor since I know we are getting an official one soon. I made this one using Armored Thor's head and a Thor hairpiece along with Thor Now's boots. I think it is a Wolverine Chest block and right arm with an Iron Fist hand, with Colossus' left arm and a Dr. Doom Hand. The cape is Little Red's. I am not sure whose legs they are and the belt is one I got in a large bag of parts which had been cut from it's true form but I thought it would work for this. The axe is the one I got from Shapeways for He-Man but it is only for show, I am still looking for the right axe to use for this guy.

If we get a third box set, I would like it to be FIsh, Butch, Falcone and Maroni all togehter because it fits a theme and if you want too much longer no one may remember Fish, Falcone and Maroni. Then if we do get a fourth set, that one could be Jerome, Barbara, Bullock and Lucius Fox. Then the next set could be Zsasz and his henchwomen. However, I would like to see Pamela "Ivy" Pepper in the mix sometime as well as the Red Hood. Just my thoughts.

So is this the Toys R Us set and the Chef & Gonzo are Specialty Line? I can't remember where I read who was getting who, and I really want Beaker and Honeydew (Bunsen).

I am going to work on more Gotham Customs. I need to get the two box sets so I can part out my customs that resemble characters we will be getting in them. But until then, I will keep my customs as they are. As for this second season of the show. I am not sure I have enough parts to make the characters they are coming up with. But I will do my best to get them made if I can. Just would really like them to hurry up and make Bulloch and Jerome.

I am currently working on a Mr. Freeze and a Poison Ivy, but just can't get the time to do the sculpting I need for Ivy and I need to get a touch up on the paint job on Freeze. As soon as I get them done, I will share with you.

I like your Werewolf Captain America. You are correct just a little brown paint over the blonde hair and the flesh on the chest and legs and it would be Great! I am jealous that I do not have Civil War Box Set Captain America to use in my custom creation.

My take on Captain America as a werewolf. Also, I decided to make a Pumpkin Monster that I am calling Grumpkin. (Groot + Pumpkin) Star-Lady (GotG Kitty Pride) Scarlet Witch (my take on an image I saw here in the Modifying Marvel MiniMates thread.)

Maybe it is a Gotham two-pack, Fish Mooney and Det. Bullock would be nice! I would like to see a new Star Trek set and Like the idea of Generations Kirk and Picard from the Nexis. Or even a Picark and Guinan from Generations. But I would go with Gotham first.

I took your recipe and tweaked it a little for what I had on hand. I used a Lara Croft's head and hair, but I used Kobol Six's chest block, Animated Star-Lord's arms, jacket, hip & legs and I skipped the rocket boots because I like the look I had. Thank you for the recipe. I just did not have an extra Maggie Green to use her chest block and I felt the rocket boots did not really go well with animated Star-Lord's legs. But I would love to see your completed custom once you can share. Thank you!
