*sigh* I have no issue with the continued success of a good animated kid’s movie (Despicable Me 2); it's the crap movie doing better than an infinitely more creative/entertaining/intellectually stimulating/visually stunning* movie that is just flat out wrong in so many ways. Mike Judge was right! *not saying that Salma Hayek isn't visually stunning, but we're talking overall movie here ****************************** Back to Pacific Rim.... NECA's getting my money. I hope they make one of Leatherback; that was my favorite monster in the film.

That was totally awesome!! Seriously go see this movie, it's worth it to see it up on the big screen. It has a good story (actual plot!!), amazing action scenes, the monsters are incredible (is anybody making toys of these?) and it's funny (Charile Day steals the show every time he's on screen). Be sure to stay for part way through the credits, there's a short scene you don't want to miss!

Seriously??!? Right now Pacific Rim is sitting at 76% on the tomatometer and Grown Ups 2 is at 0% and more people are going to go see Grown Ups 2?? Any of you that go to see GU2 can go sit in the box of shame right now .... no commenting, just go sit ... I already have my 3D tickets purchased, sitter lined up, thanks to K80 will have my pre-movie bacon shake (probably post-movie too) and all ready for Robot/Monster carnage! Man of Steel 2 out in 2014? I at least take solace that it's not Batman.

That would be sooo out of character for him, it would be like Superman not being concerned about collateral damage during a climatic battle (<-- this comment made in jest, don't take offense to such silly things). IF this movie truely makes it out in time for 2015, that means they don't really have time for another (*well thought-out) solo film in between. Ideally you would want to introduce Superman and Batman (canon for JL) first before having the JL teamup; let's all pray they don't rush a Batman movie in 2014 . I think a Wonder Woman and an Aquaman film would work a lot better after a successful JL movie than they would beforehand. Those two characters just need the extra intro in a group film first to get the moviegoing audience willing to watch them in their own solo film. And I agree with PL, I would keep Mark Strong's Sinestro in the movieverse somehow but I would switch out Hal (Reynolds) for John Stewart.

They're stacking the deck for this movie. One of the things that I have enjoyed the most with the Marvel (Avengers related) movies is they have done a wonderful job with casting. Each actor/actress matches their character so well, it's hard to imagine any other person in their role. It will be interesting to see how this new group of people turn out.
