Thanks for all the compliments gang! I'm closer than I've been in years of actually being able to put some serious time back into customizing, and very excited by this, as i have so many ideas I'm wanting to do, plus some that some folks have been waiting very patiently for! I am 100% going to do the Spirit of '76, and a laundry list of golden age stuff and classic tv stuff. I figured I'd put up my entry for the Ant-Man contest here, as well as the actual photo i took to make it. Hi guys, we took advantage of our being on vacation last week! luckily, i always bring a box of random minimates to mess around with while away (in case of a rainy day). We had some beautiful days, and I was fortunate to have had a spare Ant-Man helmet in the box. I took a bunch of Ant-Man vacation pics, in the water, on a log, during a sunset, holding hands with a beach beauty (courtesy of the alpha flight hand-holding extra piece). It was hard to pick a favorite, but here it is, packed up in a postcard template... as an extra special bonus, my son (also a minimate collector) wanted to get in on the action, and made his own Ant-Man setup, and wanted to take a picture of it. If the judges allow it, I'll be posting it for him, since he's only 5 (turning 6 on the 16th) We had a blast, we were the only ones on the beach at the time, and i hope we get to do many more mini adventures like this one... anywho... here's Nico's masterpiece The Anthill! Bootlegs are a good call as over $10 for a lego minifigure is nuts. i also think they hold a lottery drawing for the ability to purchase the lego SDCC exclusives. Ugh. Why? "We don't want anyone to buy our products." I eyeballed the bootlegs on eBay. Just trying to get money that isn't allotted for other things first. I ended up getting the collector in a set of 6 or 8 figures for less than five bucks. the rocket and outstanding bigfig groot were in another bundle for about the same. 90% of those auctions start at $0.09-$0.99

My biggest regret is, last year, a friend asked if I wanted any exclusives that he would pick up for me. I was like "nah, there's nothing I really want that much." A few weeks later, my favorite movie ever came out. And now Rocket's Warbird & The Collector go for about $400 together. I just realized, I can totally use the swedish chef as a base for the Peculiar Purple Pieman, from Porcupine Peak! Not sure if i'm more excited for these or the NBX series 2 mates!

I may have to repaint her hair and use it for my He-Man custom!

Hey Gang... I don't think i ever posted this one here, so figured the 4th of July weekend would be appropriate. Not happy with the lighting shining off his emblem, so i may retake some pics at another time and repost, or a group shot of all the golden age heroes i've done so far.
