  1. They were resetting the toy section when I was there a couple days ago. I’ll have to hit them up tomorrow to see if anything new is on the pegs.
  2. At first glance it looks like Robert Kirkman’s version of a spider-man for Invincible.
  3. Pretty cool. I hope they find appreciative homes. ??
  4. I wonder what color it's supposed to be. Like, the original was black and red. As with Batman's black cape and cowl the highlights were colored blue. Over time the Batsuit became blue and grey. So I'm wondering if this new Spider-suit is supposed to be black and grey or blue and silver. Can't say I'm a fan of the lighted aspects. Sure, it's visually interesting but do even radioactive spiders glow in the dark? And wouldn't that ruin any element of surprise when villains notice this luminescent logo lurking in the shadows? Do the bulkier web-shooters mean even more web fluid? Yes, I'd add a Minimate of it to my collection. ?
  5. Ha! Fun Fact: Slime™ and Elmer's glue will gum up small engines even in small amounts.
  6. I've still got my Queen Hive playset from Kenner. It's got some great sculpting and I've always meant to use it as part of an Alien backdrop.
  7. Any time DST wants to offer Minimates from The Black Hole, I'm totally down with pre-ordering a set (or more if sentries are included).
  8. The Deluxe assortment gave us so many good SKUs, not just in Aliens but others as well. It makes the lack of a dropship with Ferro and Bishop all the more heartbreaking.
  9. I do love this oasis of peaceful appreciation of plastic. Cheers, everyone.
  10. Not gonna lie: When I see what NECA has done with this franchise compared to DST, I frown a bit.
  11. While I understand that manufacturers and retailers prefer to stick with merchandising tie-ins to the most recent movies, that doesn't always end well and it seems they're finally figuring that out. I'd still be up for an assortment of Minimates from the first two Raimi flicks. (Think "Best of".) And given the hype surrounding the MCU Spider-verse crossover, DST may be getting another chance at such an opportunity.
  12. As soon as WB has a deal with Roku I'll probably be getting HBO Max. Raised by Wolves is on my list. I'd be happy with a set of Lynch's Dune Minimates, too. I just like Bob Ringwood's costume designs.
  13. For someone who insists he's a Spider-Man fan, Chuck has skipped an awful lot of popular Spider-Man properties. No Spider-Man so no Green Goblin. No Spider-Man 2 so no Doc Ock. But, hey, we got Spider-Man 3 and the two Amazing entries, even if the villains were lackluster (Rhino!). No Into the Spider-verse or Far From Home but we got comic-based substitutions. Can you imagine a DC licensee half-assing it like this with Batman?
  14. That's where I'm leaning as well. Whatever it happens to be I'd like enough parts to allow for some variety. Alternate helmets, weapons, armor... stuff like that if it's appropriate. But I do like the idea of a 4-pack of Hand Minimates. Bring on the bad guys.
  15. What's a good evergreen army-builder for Marvel? I'm thinking about the kind of army-building character that either you can never have too many of or that should always be available for new collectors. Star Wars has stormtroopers, Alien has xenomorphs. Is there a single army-builder that a retailer could keep in stock for years, the kind of cart-topper that a shopper might say, "Yeah, I'll grab another one of those"? It could be a single pack (in a box or a bag). It could be a 2-pack or the same figure or opposing figures (good vs. bad). I also considered a 4-pack of four different army-builders but I'd be afraid that collectors might favor some over the others and not order as many. Who's the best candidate?
  16. What If...? is loaded with fun possibilities. I can see Walgreens jumping on that if their sales of animated Minimates warrant it. While I'm sure the rest could get old-school, 8-figure assortments, it doesn't appear the market supports that these days. Hopefully it changes. Until then I wouldn't expect more than what we got for Black Widow.
  17. That's a solid response. Thank you. Can we give Luke a big round of applause for his transparency? It's quite refreshing. Honestly, so many of us would jump at the chance for an army-builder at this point, Marvel or otherwise. Bonus points if it came with parts for alternate looks like the Heavy SHIELD Agent. Good lord, you'd sell out so fast.
  18. I haven't seen Raised by Wolves yet but from the previews I'd tend to agree. I'm liking what I'm seeing from Dune, too.
  19. Decided to add Space: 1999 out of pure nostalgia, as well as more DC properties, past and present.
  20. Are you looking for a Black Panther from the Marvel Zombies assortment but un-damaged? I'd be down with that, especially in a wave with Killmonger and Man-Ape.
  21. Distribution isn't any better in my area, where I have exactly one store. Oh, and according to one of the managers, NONE of the Rite Aid locations in my region are becoming Walgreens. Those things are all over here so I was looking forward to half of them switching over. Instead, we lost one of two Walgreens stores in my city. If it weren't for the kindness of fellow collectors, I probably wouldn't be collecting Walgreens' Marvel sets. I don't know why they won't put them online.
  22. There's no reason DST can't continue offering army-builders. Those are good choices. ?
  23. Prior to The Acquisition™, the AvP license was a separate agreement. Since then, I'm not so sure. It seems like it would fall under the same Disney umbrella (technically it does) but Lucasfilm and Marvel still handle their respective properties. I've no idea who's handling Terminator now but that's another franchise that I'd like more Minimates from.
