GI Joe 30th Anniversary

Recommended Posts

The characters in the sub are too obscure for me, although I'm curious to see how Cover Girl turns out. Also I gather that in order to buy a sub you first have to buy a membership for the club, which is kind of nuts.

I am skipping Renegades figures though. Resolute was ok but the Renegades figures don't appeal to me. Not counting Airtight and other 25th style "Renegades".

I'm not digging the more cartoony Renegades figs, but going by pics I think the upcoming Scarlett looks better than the 25th version, and Storm Shadow should hopefully be coming with that awesome 30th-style head to swap out. Plus anything that gets me a Law & Order is good with me!

Did Cover Girl get announced?

No, but from what I can gather on HissTank someone posted a leaked list before they started announcing the figures, which so far has turned out to be correct, and she was on that.

I'm not a big fan of these Renegade figures for the same reason I'm not into the Clone Wars action figures, but every once in a while they come out with a real winner. I will sometimes make an exception, For instance, I had to have Embo and Shaak Ti from the CW line, and I had to pick up this Duke. I absolutely love this head sculpt:

Not directly related to these toys, but I recently picked this up after looking for a long time and am excited about it:

It was actually not expensive or hard to find, but I didn't know that because I didn't know where to look. . .

Cool! That's from an old fold out magazine, right? Pretty sure I had that one.

Yes, the 1985 GI Joe Magazine.

And as for Barbecue. . .he's just a strange bird. Just look at that "Porkchop Sandwiches" PSA.
