boyd
Still love your Calvin & Hobbes. A fun duo, and you made it so well.
BannersID
that Calvin and Hobbes set would be the ultimate stand alone two pack, the only addition I might make would be a cardboard box to be packed with the set, other wise perfection! hellpop
I did think about tricking them out with some accessories, and a cardboard box was at the top of my list. I also thought about making a Calvinball, but then you'd have to make a whole Calvinball field, and I'm not made of playsets.....
Prowlar
I did think about tricking them out with some accessories, and a cardboard box was at the top of my list. I also thought about making a Calvinball, but then you'd have to make a whole Calvinball field, and I'm not made of playsets..... The Calvinball would be the easy. All you have to do is find a Lego Soccer ball and that's done. Setting up the field on the other hand would require more time than trying to analyze the full set of rules pre-game. hellpop
This is the time of year when I rush a bunch of custom photos up, so that I can get them into the Best Custom Contest (with which I'm helping out this year!). With that in mind, here's... Rocket Raccoon! Check out my blog to see a full writeup (including some MMMV Civil War reminiscences).

hellpop
Belatedly making a big post to host photos for my last batch of Best Custom entries... it's the New Gods! What's that, you say? Is there more at my blog, including another picture with the sweet Mister Miracle and Big Barda customs I got from Luke, and some decals? Why yes... yes there is. http://dinosaursinf14s.blogspot.com/2013/03/minimate-customs-new-gods.html
boyd
Yea New Gods! One of my favorite Kirby creations, and you did them justice with your customs.
hellpop
Thanks Boyd! Of course, since posting these I've begun putting together Granny Goodness, which makes the whole post somewhat obsolete.
hellpop
I'm posting this both here, in the Modifying Marvel 'mates thread, and my own customs thread. Sorry if you read it more then once! So the other day I bought a second Blastaar from Luke, since it's part of his great March sale and I wanted to use his hairpiece for something. So, when he came I took off the hairpiece and stuck the rest of him in my fodder bin. Yesterday, I was digging through there looking for some parts, and Blastaar ended up in my hand. My five year old daughter was hanging out with me (she likes to build Minimates from my scraps), and she saw Blastaar and said "I know who that is. That's Darkseid". I started to say "no, actually that's..." and I stopped, and took another look at him. Hmmm, Darkseid, you say? Not bad, right? I mean, it's not perfect, but that's a pretty darn good bulked up Darkseid. Thanks, Delia!

UK Collector
That is great, good work Delia. Dad must be very proud Nice Heard the one about the self proclaimed spelling-fascist ,DC unaware ,English guy who arrived on this board years ago who convinced himself that nobody but he could spell Darkside properly ? I always said it as 'Darkseed', no one had ever corrected me, and I hadn't ever seen him in any form of 'loud' media. Then Smallville came out and changed all that. Liney
While I have little to no knowledge of Darkseid, that looks pretty good, Delia has skiils!

hellpop
All this talk recently about Spider-Man villains made me want to post some of the Spidey related customs I've done over the years: Swarm's not my formula, but I decided to post him to remind everybody about what a cool, easy custom he is. You'll find more formulas and decals at my blog.
bilbofett
Very nice. I've borrowed your Jack decal. Many thanks
