Nervous Rex
hey thanks for the info man, he is really cool looking.I wish those accessories were compatible with minimates. I'm really thinking about designing some joe related stuff in 3D and having it made(using one of those sites that prints plastic) i.e. snake eyes visor, sword, straps, backpacks, etc... karamazov80
Awesome, I look forward to seeing how that works out. I need to get on the ball with some GI Joe customs one of these days. In other, non-25th Joe news: Sideshow Stormshadow!

groundhog7s
That's cool, but I couldn't justify the price point. karamazov, are you collecting those?
karamazov80
Well, I didn't plan on it initially, but being the Joe fan that I am, my will is very weak with these things. When I get paid next, I've decided that I'm gonna try to get ahold of Snake Eyes. Storm Shadow is pretty tempting, but I'll definitely pass on Cobra Commander and the troopers. A Flint, Zartan, or Firefly release would have to be very disappointing for me not to order them. I agree the price is a bit ridiculous, but hell, I've paid $100 for a handful of Kubricks on more than one occasion. groundhog7s
I'd love to hear your opinion on them. I'm sure I couldn't justify the price, but I'm interested in them. The larger scale Joes Hasbro has made are just junk (IMO), but some of the Sideshow ones are amazing looking.
karamazov80
There are already a few Snake Eyes reviews floating around, if you are interested: http://www.cooltoyreview.com/SSC_GIJoe_snakeeyes.asp https://www.monkeydepot.com/Articles.asp?ID=183 He looks a bit funky with that body when he doesn't have all the gear, but some of the poses D. Martin got are pretty spectacular. On a side note since I was on that site, the Mike Myers I have is literally this one.
groundhog7s
All that gear is pretty amazing. I think he would definitely be the one to get if you're going to get one. I just don't see the appeal of Cobra Commander in that outfit.

I just don't see the appeal of Cobra Commander in that outfit. He should at least have an alternate, "dome" head (I'm not a fan of the hooded version generally). But I suspect that Sideshow is hoping to release that version later, probably with his more "classic" outfit.
Max13
The new Resolute figs are stunning. I highly suggest them
karamazov80
Related to that, some new pictures of the Resolute characters were released recently: Looks great, but I'll be pissed the f$*k off if Ellis kills off our man Flint.
karamazov80
Sideshow's Snake Eyes "Environment" was opened for pre-order last night. $130 for Timber and a wall. Amazing. http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=2620
The_Donster
I actually cancelled my Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander preorders a few weeks back. With a baby on the way, this is one of the lines that had to fall by the wasteside. Hopefully my cancelled order will insure it goes to a deserving home in the end. I sure hope they make a decent Flint though, I actually bought some old 12" Joes to make a better Flint than the one Hasbro made a few years back. The best were Shipwreck and Cobra Commander, who actually looked more formidable than one's in the past. I wonder if Sideshow will do a Serpentor? karamazov80
I'm actually in the process of "kit-bashing" my own Flint. Just got one of my old heads repainted for him (a Dragon "Colin Ferrell" head), and I think he looks pretty dang good. This head really captures the essence of the comic/toy Flint, IMO, with the confident, slightly cocky look. I'm still waiting on my suspenders, and haven't yet found the right belt for him:
Punisher
This is a dumb question, but can somebody tell me the name of the machine gun that series 3 Firefly comes with? Edited March 28, 2009 by the punisher=D
karamazov80
This is a dumb question, but can somebody tell me the name of the machine gun that series 3 Firefly comes with? 'Tis the MK-Arms MK760, I believe http://www.securityarms.com/20010315/galle...s/2400/2464.htm Also Joker's gun in Dark Knight during the scene with the Batpod. Docholliday666
The firefly gun is a Karl Gustav Swedish K M45 smg. Edited March 28, 2009 by Docholliday666
karamazov80
Hey Doc, What's the difference between those two? They look pretty dang similar to my (admittedly untrained) eye.
Docholliday666
The MK-ARMS MK760 is more of a modern update of the Swedish K. THe swedish K was used alot during the Nam era. THe K I believe had a bigger mag capacity, but again, the mk760 is more modern
Punisher
Also Joker's gun in Dark Knight during the scene with the Batpod. That's why i wanted to know actually , i am looking for a 6'' scale one for my MM Joker. No luck so far, but thanks guys!
karamazov80
They are releasing a new MM Joker soon, with no Jacket (interrogation scene version), and he may come with that gun. . .probably not, though.
maxcarnage
in this article TNI says there is a new box set of 7 figures coming out and that these packs will be available at the same retailers as the extreme conditions packs from 2008. does anyone know what those were? I do (in fact, I think we discussed this here a few pages back), and if this is the first that you have heard of them, being a Joe fan, you will probably be pleased. Nuff said The Joe pack is a completely automatic buy for me. I can't wait to see how Wet-Suit and Ripcord look with all their gear. handsomedevil
It seems that they have "re-released" some of the earlier 25th Anniversary figures like Destro, "shell head" Cobra Commander, and "commando" Snake Eyes. Do any of you Joe experts know if they are going to re-release the ninja Snake Eyes with Timber? I didn't jump on board at first and a GI Joe collection just ain't a collection without that Snake Eyes!

I didn't jump on board at first and a GI Joe collection just ain't a collection without that Snake Eyes! You've got 3 options right at this moment, from HTS: 1) Original, single carded re-release (w/new, non-"25th" card): http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByBra...20&ID=20168 2) new Joe 5 pack version----different arm, leg, and head sculpts, new "webbing"/belt, now comes with correct "scimitar" sword. In fact, this is the exact same version as the one that comes with the Pyramid of Darkness DVD pack, except that one didn't have Timber. This Timber is different than the one that came with the single, carded version. This Snake Eyes is my favorite, for what it is worth: http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByBra...20&ID=23668 3) "Hall of Heroes" Version--This Snake Eyes has the body and accessories of #2, but the head of #1 (which I personally don't like so much): http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByBra...31&ID=23756 Not the ninja, but: 4) There is also an old-school, 1982 Snake Eyes with "radiation poisoning," who comes with the MASS Device set and has Timber: http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByBra...20&ID=21694 Edited March 30, 2009 by karamazov80
