Yeah, there were a lot of factors at play in this set, but in a perfect world Samoa Joe and MJF would be at the top of my list. Saraya, Hikaru, Toni and Skye would be in fierce competition for the last two spots.

AEW set three is now up for preorder from most retailers. As always, you should use Luke, because he's Luke.

Question about the ring, are the ring ropes plastic? Or are they the stretchy ropes like other figure rings use?

They are plastic with only a tiny bit of movement, which I actually prefer, because on other toy rings I have had, the elastic ones droop badly over time.

Got my ring today; it's very cool. I do still question including an announcer with it rather than, you know, some wrestlers; I understand the thinking that it will force people to go and buy one of the box sets, but I think it's just as likely that people will pass on this set entirely because they don't have anyone to play in it with. Stick MJF and Eddie Kingston in here instead of Excalibur and all the weapons and I think you've got a total home run.

Anyway, I am very much enjoying the AEW line, though I do wish we had some belts for these guys. I need to declare some champions! I was looking at that old WWE line from a few years ago to see if they had any compatible parts, and I had forgotten just how awful those figures were. Maybe the worst minifigures ever made?

so, i bought this mainly FOR the announcer.  i'm not a wrestling guy and have passed on all the set.  i figure i have enough minimates that would look cool in here i don't need any real wrestlers.  that said, series 2 has some cool looking folks in there and the 3rd has more so maybe i'll buy those.  but i'm mainly a luchadore guy b/c of the masks and what not.  

as for C3, i actually bought some sets years ago just for the rings and the great sets they made but gave all the minifigures to my nephew.  i still have most of the sets (undertaker stuff mainly but also some motorcycles that work pretty well for minimates) but i gave him the ring when i saw how big it was.

Series 4 has been designed! Not sure when they'll be announced, but I think we are hoping to reveal at least one at SDCC. We may have a special guest.

Eh, the C3 WWE figures are great. They're very similar to Minimates and they're quite poseable and sturdy. They're a bit ugly certainly, but they're very good figures overall.

Hopefully we get a Sting before his contract runs out. He's clearly going to sign a WWE deal as soon as his contract with AEW is up and it'd be nice to get an official Sting minimate.

Sting is in Series 3, which has been up for pre-order for a few months now. I think we actually revealed him over a year ago. And he retired from all wrestling, as far as I know. I don't think he is going to WWE.

You're right, I completely forgot about that ROFL. I have it pre-ordered.

The C3 figures are great, well made, poseable figures. I mixed and matched with a lot of MMs when they first came out. Different and uglier aesthetic, but they're well made.

Will, Swerve and Toni look great. Hopefully we can get a title belt in this set.
